What a fantastic meal! We're visiting form Brisbane and we need some places like this down there! The lovely person serving brought out a container of water for our dogs! Refreshing to see such customer service!

It happened to be the closest/most convenient fish and chips option to where we were, but oh what a fantastic find Surfcoast Seafood was!
We ordered:
1. family feast, $80:
- Cod x6
- $9.00 Chips
- Full Calamari x2
- Potato Scallops x6
- Chicken Nuggets x6
- Medium salad
- 1.25L Drink
2. family pack plus, $50:
- Cod x 4
- $6.50 Chips
- Seafood Sticks x4
- Full Calamari
- Pineapple Fritters x4
- 1.25L Drink
Everything about this meal was great. The food itself was on point with lovely flaky and well fried fish with good crunch on the batter, moreish chips, very tender calamari, fresh salad... and the real surprise for me was the cinnamon-dusted pineapple fritters - delicious!
Service/inclusions wise we were proactively given extra containers to use as plates, cups for our drinks, and a choice of two tubs of sauces per pack. The salad also includes a dressing. Basically we couldn't have asked for more.
Value wise was also great; for $130 we had food designed for 10, but more than sufficient to share amongst our group of 13 (7 adults & 6 kids). Believe you me I went for seconds, and in the end we still had some food leftover. For an average of $10 per head this was a stunningly enjoyable and value for money feed. Definitely making a beeline for these guys the next time I'm in Alex Heads!
Delicious fish and chips! Love the calamari too. Always leaves you feeling good afterwards (unlike some places). Will always keep going back to this spot.
Nice fresh fish and chips just opposite the beach. No better way to end a beach session other than a good fish and chips feed. Seems to be a very popular place so many orders during a weekday.
Was hungover as heck and needed some fried medicine. Huge portion of fish, lots of chips, giant potato scallops and seafood sticks. Good value

Always dubious about trying out new fish & chip shops, but when it happens to be furious weather & do not want to venture far out the back door you tend to go to the closest outlet for sustenance. We were not disappointed with Surfcoast Seafood, the fish which was cod was succulent & fresh with a great batter. However what we really enjoyed was a real salad which we ordered on the side. By that I mean a salad which does not just consist of leaves!! It was generous & had just about all one would expect from a salad you would make at home
It is difficult to find a late lunch between lunch time and dinner time. Most restaurants close for prep for dinner service. It was fantastic when we found this little fish and chips shop open throughout the afternoon.
They have a very good selection for a fish and chips shop. The battered snapper was my favourite, fresh and crispy, cooked to perfection. The oysters are very fresh and the fish burger was yummy but a bit short on the tartare sauce. Never thought I would like a passion fruit drink but man I love the "Kirks Pasito" 😽. Went back for it the next day!
The service was very friendly and family like! A refreshing change from big city falling off the processing line style! Our service was prefect but I heard it can be quite busy during peak times.
If you are looking for a quick meal or just to quench your fish and chips craving this place is great! Excellent value too.
We had the barramundi & chips and some extras everything was great and very tasty. Chips were crispy and fish fresh. Well priced too!
Pretty fresh!!!. Even being our second meal of fish n chips for the day Surfcoast Seafood didn't disappoint. Definitely worth walking past the other seafood shops in the locale to dine here. Everything is freshly battered.
Fish and chips were much better than expected after seeing frozen chip boxes around but they were cooked perfectly and the Barramundi was great. Calamari was nice big proper pieces as well

NB.Revisited June 2021 and found that the business has changed name and logo. The menu doesn't seem to have changed much apart from some higher prices.

Truly the best fish and chips on the Sunny Coast. I live in Mooloolaba and walk there to get fish and chips every Sunday. Amazingly fresh fish and seafood and generous portions. The staff there are so lovely and the prices are excellent!
Without a doubt the best fish and chips you'll ever have in your life; literally the only reason I drive up to Alex Heads. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and they've never failed to deliver an awesome meal. Their batter is light, crispy, and makes me forget that I'm contributing to the overfishing of our planet... mmmmm, endanger-licious 🤤
