The first waiter showed us where we could sit and took our coffee orders
Coffee arrived quickly and was hot and strong.2nd waiter came shortly after to take our food orders
I ordered the pached eggs smashed avo mushrooms feta cheese and vine tomatoes on grain sour dough
My partner ordered simple bacon and eggs I wish I got the food waiters name he was so efficient he didnt even need to write anything down
We commented that for such a young man he had a very deep and distinguished speaking voice
The meals arrived very soon after ordering
THey were hot and freshly cooked... opposed to being sand bagged and soggy
The cafe was busy there was plenty of staff
All up we enjoyed our experience
So much so that we are bringing the family for breakfast on 12th Nov to celebrate 2 birthdays

Love this place! Best breakfast menu and generally good and fast service. Does get busy at the popular times so expect longer waiting time for your food to be served. The guy at the register is always cheery and happy to serve you. Great selection of cakes too.
We visit from the 🇬🇧 regularly and always have a few meals here During our stay, we find the menu choice good with lots of lovely choices, the venue is always clean and the staff very welcoming

Fried chicken burger is just one reason to come to Creme! This bad boy was juicy on the inside but crunchy on the outside. A nice sauce with a bit of a spicy kick brought the whole package together! Would recommend this item if you are going here!
I didn't know they had such good sweets here! They stock both Brunetti and yummy baklava. Will definitely be back to try more of these
It is extremely surprising seeing an average score like this for a venue of this standard. We have never had a bad meal here and are always served with the best service. The pancakes are absolutely amazing and worth traveling for!
I cannot speak highly enough of our experience at Crème Altona at lunch today. I had the steak sandwich and my friend had the big breakfast. The big breakfast was the most beautiful plate of food I've ever seen (not kidding). The sandwich was very nice and steak tender. The chef did an outstanding job on both dishes. It was a different (higher) level of good. The chef clearly puts a lot of care and pride into his work. The customer service was also very good. 11 out of 5
One of the best dessert counters in town. Great cakes both large and small. A family friendly spot close to the park and beach.
Offering delicious takeaway options including pizza and burgers, plus $1 coffees - this is my new favourite coffee destination!
The average definitely doesn't reflect what's going on at Creme, the venue is always busy, the staff are friendly and the quality of food is well, well above average. Give them a shot, you won't be disappointed.

Awesome weekend vibe right by the beach with great outdoor seating. Perfect spot for us to enjoy delicious burgers. I had the classic cheeseburher and my partner had the fried chicken burger. They were both so good she made me go half half. Will be back for breakfast next time!
Came in for a quick coffee and salad. Food was delicious, coffee was made perfectly .Great job guys.
Tried the shrooms burger and I very much enjoyed it! The flavours worked well together and the bun was nice and fluffy. Ordered a coffee too and was made really well. Being close to the ocean can’t complain, great little spot!
I am a regular at Creme. Whether it be Altona or Port Melbourne, the consistency is on point. Friendly service, quality food and coffee and all round good vibe. Located near the beach and park - this spot is fantastic and is my choice for breaky and lunch when I am in the area.

A fantastic fritter dish! My daughter's go-to order at brunch is corn fritters and we shared the ones from Creme, they were outstanding. Great flavour and not too oily (which is a common fault, we've found.)
The staff were lovely, service was fast and we enjoyed our time here. Definitely an underrated cafe, it's a great spot to visit.
Crème is always fantastic, came for a coffee and wasn't disappointed. We were hanging out at the beach and they were simply perfect. TL:DR good coffee.
After trying Crème Port Melbourne I found myself passing through Altona and knowing the brand I knew exactly what I was getting into. The food is consistent no matter which venue you visit. The staff are great and the food matches. Enjoyed a lovely coffee and smashed avo.
Under assuming little place, worth a try if you are in the area. We really enjoyed our meals the chilli scrambled eggs being our fave item for sure!

From delicious goods from their bakery to awesome breakfast, lunch and dinner! Creme Altona has it all! Their fortnightly specials menu is a treat! Love their hearty porridges! The food minion approves!
The smashed avo at Creme is great. The mix with feta and tomato is a great mix and a dish that really hits the spot. Friendly vibe and a positive atmosphere.

OMG this is a hidden gem. Love the food here. Bit pricy but well worth it. I love Palio dish here. First time I tried the dish I was surprised how good it is didn't expect to be that good bit I was blown away. Now I'm a regular to this joint One of my favourite places in altona highly recommend it.

Lucky we booked because the restaurant was crazy busy.
Food for all of us was great with always something to suit us and our 2 young children. Coffees for us and shakes for the kids.

Been here a number of times and generally a safe option. They have some amazing cakes and the coffee is usually nice. I’ve tried a number of the breakfasts and the breaky board is such a good way to sample everything (if you’re hungry). The modern paleo is nice although at times the tahini dressing is a bit funny (I now ask for it on the side). Tried the protein pancakes and they were delicious! Will be back for sure!
I ordered the eggplant chips which were delicious, unfortunately a big let down was the lack of blue cheese and sweet chilli sauce which could have been amazing, all I got was a tablespoon worth of blue cheese mush, I tasted a 0.3% sweet chilli taste but that's it. Bit more sauce (a lot) and this would be delicious.
Have been here quite a few times for lunches and coffee. Always good food and drinks with great service. Easy parking and great location with a good vibe on the whole street in summer.
Been here before and it wasn't that great. But this time something has changed and it was pretty good. The breakfast was quite good and enjoyed that they had freshly squeezed orange juice. Service was good and waiters were friendly. Got my usual breakfast but forgot to ask for hash browns. If they could read my mind and know I wanted them anyway that would be awesome but still this was a good meal and will come back.
Hello healthy yummy food! Food is impeccable. Service was a bit slow even in the cafes down time. But the paleo breakky was worth the wait 👌🏽
After some tiring Pokemon hunting, my friends and I decided to have some dinner. We settled on creme and decided on the coffee by the fireplace.
I ordered the stuffed chicken and a chocolate thick shake. The stuffed chicken was decently portioned and well seasoned breast filter and not dry however it was sliced up so the stuffing had leaked all over the plate. It was doused in tasty garlic sauce and the roasted potatoes were tasty.
Overall I enjoyed my meal, it was okay for the price but definitely not the best.
Had a caramelised banana pancake in special menu, it is superb! My friend had big breakfast, it was just ok. The portion is not a big as other big breakfast we have tried and it also doesn't come with baked beans.
Coffee was just alright, the taste is very mild. It was actually not as good as the first time. Maybe it was small cup and today we had regular.
Overall, great staff service, spacious cafe and great pancake!
I love catching up with my girlfriends at Creme for a midweek lunch and coffee. The coffee is very nice and the food to match. Staff are always really lovely.
The food has really improved, in the past the food was a little hit and miss, but for me it now seems to now be constantly great!

Come here for breakfast. The staff a friendly although the service is a little slow and the breakfast menu is nothing special but reliable for a decent breakfast and coffee. However there are certainly better coffees for your morning ☕️ in Altona.

Great staff, great food, great atmosphere. Tried the eggplant chips and the pulled pork burger. Absolutely great! If you want casual food with a casual atmosphere, give this place a go. The desserts down the back are to die for.
Love the service here, I get my favourite paleo beef burger with no bread, you've got to ask for it though... Most of the staff here have been here for many years so it's a nice local feel.
Waited a little long for first coffee, however food was delicious and second coffee came quick. Coffee tasted great too, nice place for a casual breaky. Although feel like they need to fix up some of the upholstery.
Watched the manager spend 15 mins helping old disabled Gent get to his car, nobody else lifted a finger; top marks. The Gnochi al pollo was excellent, the strong Late was perfection. Give it a go, and if anything is amiss, then say something rather than complaining at home.

This place is better than some of the reviews suggest. It's not amazing but the coffee is pretty good, scones are nice, it's big and always open. It is unfortunate though that ghhhdsergh had their bowel taken away
Only called in for coffe but was quite impressed with the service and the ambience of the place. Will return soon for the food test.
Lynda. I find Creme to be excellent. The menu has changed and even though a few of my favourites are missing, there are some delicious dishes. I'll keep on coming back.
Creme offered such a good range on the menu, took a while to chose.
Great dishes, flavourful and portions were more than enough. Service was friendly, with the convince of the ability to order from the table via your phone.
The venue has spacious seating, with outdoor seating available. However the majority of the outdoor seating can get a bit sunny and warm.
Very pleasant dining experience, easy to relax and worth the visit.
My absolute go to dine in the area. Very welcoming ambiance, nice tasting food, reasonable price and amazing tasty food. I highly recommended the seafood platter, and I’m looking forward to my next visit.

It's taken me a while to get to Creme but I'm so glad that recently I was able to share it with my adult kids. As people who used to eat out a lot, we are just putting our toes back into the water and trying dining out again.
On a beautiful autumnal day, we were able to secure a table outdoors under the awning. The cafe was busy with diners under umbrellas avoiding the mid morning sun. Adults, teens, kids, couples, friends, families, dogs and more. A lovely atmosphere.
My 22 yo son had the Big Breakfast Board and as a 6'4" lad, he has a big appetite. He said it was the best big breakfast he'd ever had. The little side dish of muesli, fruit and panna cotta made it that bit more special and certainly caught our eyes as it was placed on the table.
My daughter loves her burgers and certainly ticked all her boxes. My other daughter had the lamb pizza and it was a good size - enough that she asked for a container and took some home with her.
In this cafe you scan a QR code that is on the table. You order and pay online. It's so cool because you can see what each meal looks like. Entrees, mains, drinks - all can be ordered online. Took us about 10 minutes to realise this as we waited for someone to give us menus. However, our order didn't go through and after 20 minutes I went inside and spoke to the staff. They were so apologetic, took my order and ensured it was hurried through. And it was. Meals on the table in 15 minutes!
Each meal was a good portion size and when we asked for some more sauce, it was at the table in a flash.
Big shout out to Creme and all the staff - the chefs, the waiting staff, the cleaners - everyone. I work in hospitality and was rapt to see the quality on every level.
Covid-19 compliant and although we don't have to use QR codes any more, they were still up (just in case).
Parking - this section of Pier Street has been closed off from Queen Street to Blythe Street so parking is in the side streets. No meters but parking limits are around 2 hours.
Disability - Disabled friendly both indoors and outdoors.
Dietaries - Well covered and the staff are happy to accommodate any special dietary requirements. Good range for vegetarians and vegans.
Dog friendly. A bowl of water available for the canine members of your family.
Toilets - didn't notice if it had toilets, but if not, there are public toilets only 100m away in the nearby park.
I highly recommend Creme to everyone and enjoy the delights of Altona.
This is one of the restaurants that started the Cafe boom in Altona. I've been coming here for years and it has always been a pleasant experience. The service and food is great. Coffee was fantastic and the atmosphere is always lively in summer. They also have tasty desserts 🍨
Had brekky here and totally loved the chilli eggs I ordered.
Was torn between that and the eggs benny, but was happy with my choice.
Staff were really friendly.

Very friendly staff. Relaxed environment. Ordered a steak expecting your usual pub/Cafe steak. I was seriously impressed with what came out! Good meat and cooked perfectly! Compliments to the chef. All the other food was great, but the steak was a amazing!
