only 3 weeks old and they seemed to have ticked all the right boxes! away from the busy strip this cafe is beautifully fitted out with open areas both upstairs and down - there's even a bar upstairs! great coffee, guys and the chicken panini was delicious. love the feel, the food and the service!

The food is of a really good quality nicely presented. The flavours are great,.I had a smashed avo and I enjoyed it while my son had a tasty baked egg and tomato dish that was delicious. We sat outside at pretty tables enjoying eating, talking and reading the paper. This place is unusual as it not only has outside eating but also up the stairs you find an area with plants and vines that reminds me of a conservatory . It's beautiful.. The food and service are always 1st rate. The staff are friendly the food is great with attractive surroundings, you couldn't ask for anything more

Such a delicious hotcake! I was their with a few friends and friend's baby on a busy ANZAC day brunch time. The staff were visibly busy but we're still very accommodating. We ordered one poke bowl, one hotcake dish and a corn bread dish. All were delicious. I also love the greenery of the place and then natural lighting. Can't wait to go back!

Coffee was reasonable. Outside seating is OK although not the best view. Food was very good - two had burgers, which were great, and an avocado toast, which was also good. Service was friendly but a bit slow; we waited about half an hour after ordering for food on a day that wasn't especially busy. Also being outside we felt a little neglected, probably due to how the areas are separated. Overall was good and we will be back.

Food and coffee both good, but service is a disaster. Went there for the first time last week and the service was a bit off but we thought maybe they were just having a bad day. Went there again this weekend. Food and coffee still good, but service was a comedy of errors, culminating in a waiter pouring hot tea on my friend's lap. The only saving grace was that the tea had clearly been sitting around waiting to be served for some time, because it wasn't as hot as you'd normally expect. We won't be going back.

The food is really very good and the coffee was good as well. They have a good range of vegetarian food as well. There is a kids menu if you need it. They are very dog friendly and bring water out to your dog.

Great for breakfast/brunch/lunch - anything really! Food was tasty as and the staff, super friendly and really welcoming which is always appreciated by customers. Definitely recommend and can't wait to get back there

I wanted to highly recommend Vince and Me as the place in Altona to have your next function. I had my 40th party here on the weekend and it was fabulous! The place has a really cool, classy vibe. The food was incredible ( and plenty of it) and the staff were friendly and attentive all night! Thank you staff, Maryanne and Vince - the night was better than I imagined!

Well, was very disappointed. Ordered the sweet cornbread dish for breakfast and found a rubber stopper (who knows what) in my food. No one seemed bothered by it ,no apology from staff . Please be careful if your little child got this in their breakfast it might have choked them. Thanks but first and last time at your Cafe.

A few teething problems with the food and coffee but overall I really loved this place and the staff were amazing. It'll definitely be back often, it's worth the drive from Willy to sit in that amazing, light-filled space. Love it.

Can't stop coming here. Worth a drive no matter where you are in melbourne. Coffee is awesome, food is amazing and staff a friendly. What more could you ask for. Could rave on more but I'm just about to get served my Eggs Vinnie

Food was effing amazing. Staff were so friendly and service was very quick considering it was their first weekend open and they were super busy. I’ve just found my new regular Saturday brunch spot!

We celebrated our son's first birthday here with a group of 10 and had a fantastic time. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive and accommodating. Not to mention the incredible fitout - a really relaxing vibe. We'll be back!

Came here for breakfast a while ago and found it to be very nice. It’s a quaint yet trendy place off the main drag of Altona’s busy Pier Street. <br/>Had myself a takeaway sandwich and the so, so friendly staff were happy to fill my Frank Green resueable cup with great coffee. <br/>Prices were reasonable. Good parking out the front and in nearby streets. Kid friendly. Wheelchair accessible.

Had strange feeling when a table next to us walked out after 1 hr 20mins and not receiving their food. The rightfully complaint very loudy about this. We waited a bit longer before the waitress came to tell us she forgot to put our order through and asked us to remind her what we were having...at which point we left as well, on the way out the waitress tried to charge us the 2 coffees we had. When my husband complained, they comped us the coffees..which was the least they could do after making us wait for an hour with no food!

Overall not a great experience and will not be returning. <br/><br/>Had to wait about ten minutes to even be seen and seated even though it was a Tuesday and very quiet, the waiter lacked personality, he tried to memorise a food order for four people then at the end went and got a pen and we all had to repeat what we wanted, food came out at all separate times, my poached eggs were hard on the inside and my haloumi was so salty I couldn’t eat it. <br/><br/>With so many great cafes close by around Melbourne this cafe will struggle to be successful if they can’t even poach an egg.

We just came from a boxer dog meet up at Altona Dog Beach and made a random choice as it looked nice, we shared the Vinnie’s big breakfast and coffee, the service was a little slow but the staff were friendly. My coffee was awesome which is a plus and the breakfast was nice, eggs cooked perfect. Cost was $33.00 for food and two coffees.

Had brekkie here on two occasions. Service is friendly and very good. Food is fresh, tasty and well presented. The coffee is also very well done here. I will be back again.

Overall pretty good. Great service, very comfortable atmosphere inside (even though was reaching 40 degrees outside). <br/><br/>The drinks were nice, iced coffee had a nice strong flavour. <br/><br/>The Rueben was a bit of a disappointment, it was not a reuben by my definition. More like a ham and cheese toastie. <br/><br/>The hamburger looked delicious.

First time dropping in on a Sunday morning. Was initially confused by strange type of set up - outdoor tables - very nice. Separate room off to the side - big to share. Long table along window with seats but customers back is to the kitchen. <br/>Somehow this seems very uncomfortable. <br/>Food and coffee however was great and would definitely return again - but probably sit outside.

Lovely setting & great styling. Coffee lacks punch though, I ordered a large & it was a bit weak & tasteless But maybe a smaller size would be better. <br/>.I ordered the Coque Madam & unfortunately copped a serious dose of food poisoning. The fried eggs on top were way undercooked & I’m guessing probably they were the cause. My dining partner seems fine (no eggs) but I’ve been in agony & vomiting all day.

Stunning interior space, light and airy. The service was at times a bit too forced. My friend and I ordered the ricotta hot cakes, they were delicious however we were told they would take about 20mins to come which was ok, unfortunately they took closer to 45-1hr to come out which was quite disappointing.

weak coffee and poor food. great space although a little cluttered with plants everywhere maybe take them off the floor guys. service was very slow and very short and abrupt last time I came. won't be returning as its not been good. previous visits coffee was excellent hence return visits

Came here with some friends and our kids, small space but pretty atmosphere. I wouldn’t recommend taking a pram as you have to walk upstairs for more seating. The food was really good and very friendly staff. I had the wagyu burger which was very tasty. The milkshakes were a highlight for the girls but I think a little overpriced for what you get. Just some milk with flavouring, but very pretty indeed. I would definitely recommend this cafe.

Great location & I cannot wait to come back in summer time when those upstairs windows will be all open. Now onto the food. Great dish and lovely service. The decor and set up of this place is ultra cool and welcoming

Pretty good option in altona which has been dying for a good brunch spot for a while. The inside may be pretty small, but the options on the menu are nice. I recommend the eggs vinny

Not just a pretty face ...<br/><br/>Most attractive and good looking facade from the street, outdoor seating area, glass street barrier, youthful looking signage (Vince), I wonder who's the man that the shop is referring too ... flows into the interior of the cafe, well designed and set up, upstairs and downstairs.<br/><br/>Most pleasant service ... even the young barista is on training, well done ... <br/><br/>7/10 $3.50 latte, a combo of Roasting Warehouse coffee beans and La Marzocco. I can't believe that there's no surcharge on a Public Holiday, thanks guys ... will give these guys another visit for their food ... JT-25/04/2018.

Great service & atmosphere. <br/>Food was delicious & well presented. <br/>Upstairs looks like a great venue for summer drinks too. Love the selection on the menu there are not many restaurants that pull off both breakfast & dinner & everything in between but im pleased to say Vince & Me appears to have got the balance right.<br/>We will be back.

Found this place on mamma knows west and was really happy with the find! <br/>The food was delicious! I ordered the ricotta hot cakes and the were picture perfect and tasted just the same. <br/>I will say however I got food envy as my husband and sister both got the eggs vinny (their version of Benedict) and they raved about it. <br/><br/>One of the other things I loved was that the place was busy but I didn’t feel over crowded or loud. <br/>Will definitely be returning.

What a fantastic addition to Altona! I am a regular at Vince & Me and I've never had a bad meal or coffee. The ricotta hotcakes are out of this world good - highly recommended. The service is always friendly, helpful and attentive here! Hands down fave cafe in area!!

Cute little find. Coffee was perfect (almond milk) and I had sourdough toast with jam. Good location for a coffee and a catch up. Outside seating for dogs with water bowls also.

Vince and me is absolutely amazing! Firstly, fell in love with the interior of the cafe, upstairs is so bright, fresh and full of greenery! I ordered the smashed avocado and this did not disappoint. Although it is only one slice of bread it was very filling and the whipped feta was unique and so delicious. Coffee was also great and the table water is infused with orange and lemon which is a nice touch. Staff were super friendly also, 100% will return 😊

Had big expectations of this place after reading that the head chef was from Woven Cafe. I was however highly disappointed with serving size and taste. Ordered the corn bread with poached egg and cured salmon. The poached egg was over cooked and was like eating a boiled egg. The corn bread tasted stale and like it had been in the freezer for too long. Cured salmon was just like any other packet smoked salmon you can get anywhere. All in all the dish was horrible to eat. Looking at other photos of the dish on zomato it seems like there's really big inconsistencies with serving sizes. My portion was tiny in comparison to the other plates I've seen with only a few drops of corn and a couple of cherry tomatoes to the side. Avoid at all costs!

We came here on a Saturday morning and were immediately greeted by friendly staff members. We ordered the Breakfast Bowl and the Smashed Avo which was delicious & fresh. The serving size was great and the ambience was lovely. The place is well lit and there are seatings both downstairs and upstairs. We had a great meal and would definitely come back again! I have been here a few times now, the only reason I have been coming back is for the food. The food is very nicely presented and is very delicious. <br/><br/>However the staff are very unprofessional in the sense that they all seem untrained and get flustered very easily as well as they don’t seem to know what’s on their own menu. I also found that they would muck around with each other and be on their phones a lot of the time. You would have to flag someone down to get service to the table. <br/><br/>I recommend coming here for takeaway.

Vince & Me is a recent (and very welcome) addition to the Pier Street precinct of Altona. Located a block away from the water with a beautiful beach house theme for the interiors, Vince & Me is the perfect stop for a pre-beach brunch. They are also open for dinner, although I've yet to have the chance to try.<br/><br/>The menu here has all your classic brunch staples in addition to some delicious burgers and poke bowls. For this visit, I tried the Eggs Vinny (Eggs Benedict served with grandma ham on hash browns) and the Corn Bread (Toasted Corn bread with avo, bacon and poached eggs). The dishes were presented beautifully, the eggs were poached to perfection and the hash browns were great. Needless to say, the coffee here is also good.<br/><br/>While there is nothing out of the ordinary for service here, the menu is priced very, very reasonably.<br/><br/>Vince & Me is definitely one of my new favourite cafes and I can't wait to come back to try more of their menu.

We tried the Cheeseburger and the Mac and Cheese burger. Both delicious and came with chips. They use Waygu beef which isn't common in burgers which made the burger more delicious. <br/><br/>There was live music upstairs so we sat downstairs which allowed the music to play in the background while we spoke. <br/><br/>Also tried the spanish red wine... very nice not to full on. <br/><br/>Service was really nice but the owner and his wife were working so maybe thats why it was excellent.<br/><br/>Give it a try. I hope it succeeds. <br/><br/>Total $48.

Terrible service! Had to order myself down stairs! Waited 1 hour to have order come in wrong. Manager was rude and unapologetic. Needless to say I will not go back and advise others to AVOID AT ALL COST!

The Crab burger and chips were really yum and totally fresh. Abit hot upstairs but still a gorgeous venue. Staff are friendly and the family atmosphere is refreshing.

My first time at this new cafe and it was just delicious! The food I give a 5/5 ... it was like the taste, quality of a 5* restaurant and it was absolutely beautiful to look at. I had coffee and the corn bread and both were brilliant! <br/><br/>Happy smiley helpful staff and clean modern decor. <br/>4.5 rating cause it’s always good to have room to grow ... my knife had a bent sharp tip and a sign letting people know there more seating open upstairs would be lovely, as I wasn’t aware till I’d finished my meal. <br/><br/>I’ll be back again & again.... so happy to see this cafe space open again! <br/><br/>Well done team #vinceandme

We have been for brunch a number of time since Vince and me opened recently. They never disappointed us. Coffee is superb, food is delicious and great vibe with attentive staff. It’s such a great addition to Altona! Our new local favorite!

Coffee is good, maybe not the best in the area but good. <br/><br/>So far I’ve had a breakfast bowl and the Mac and Cheeseburger. The burger was HUGE, so much so I couldn’t finish it and I was hungry! Burger was medium, slightly pink still which was great. Not structurally sound (falls to pieces), but very tasty and good ingredients. The breakfast bowl was nice for a light summer breakfast. <br/><br/>We’ve also tried the Croque Monsieur, which we rated quite highly, and the kids hotcakes, which the little one wolfed down.
