Friendly staff and great cuisine. A bit expensive for the amount of food, especially for the fish (the rice bowl was really tiny)
We've recently visited Apollo Bay and found this restaurant one of the best. We ordered eye fillet steak and baby snapper. The food was sensational.
Maybe they changed restaurant manager or chef since two years age.
I'm not sure about negative reviews but we were very satisfied with service and food quality.

A place to visit to experience fine dining with quality dishes.
The Tasmanian salmon fillet was cooked perfectly with a nice crispy skin layered on top, the accompaniment of salad was full of flavor though the added shiitake mushroom was a tad undercooked.
The seafood linguine had a nice blend of prawn, scallop, fish and mussel flavors throughout the dish.
Desserts are definitely a must have here, we had opted for the terimisu cake and the creme brulé and was not disappointed.
Oysters are okay here, sizes are a little bit small and doesn't taste as fresh as other places though this is forgivable given the quality of the other dishes bought out.
Definitely a place to bring a significant other but keep in mind that this is fine dining, expect to pay fine dining prices.
