Go on a weeknight, preferably during non-busy hours, and dine in. These are the best ways to get great service and a well-cooked meal.
My partner and I visit here occasionally, and we get the Whisky Beef stir fry and Massaman curry. This place makes both dishes exactly the way we like them. We've only been disappointed by the takeaway portions, but I suppose it's hard to fit a plate's worth of food into a standardised takeaway container.
Some nights there is a professional chef that cooks authentic dishes in the kitchen and I believe that we've been lucky enough to visit every time she's on shift. While busy periods mean that the small staff numbers are stretched to cover everyone, we haven't felt that it detracted from our experience.
The service my friends and I received when here last was fantastic. Staff were so attentive and friendly, it really stuck in my mind weeks after we ate. I had the Thai Green Curry with vegetables and it was delicious, with really authentic flavours. It's very likely we'll be back!
First time visit for our party of 4, hubby is not a lover of Thai food and anything Spicy but this restaurant caters for all. We absolutely loved every dish we ordered ...Staff were fantastic, pork is to die for ....it took a while to get our order but we never mind this aspect as it gives us time to catch up with friends and actually have a conversation while waiting....after all, isn't that what going out with others is all about !!!! we will be back for certain.
The hubby and I went here on a Tuesday night which was quiet. Started with the satay chicken for entree and as mains ordered the fried fish with tamarind and the panang curry. All were so so amazing!! The fish went down like a treat and would probably be one of the best we've tried. Staff were very kind and offered great and attentive service. Definitely a winner and would come back for the fish again and again!!
They were having a wonderful special of a few entrée or soup with any main purchased, so I thought I would give this place a go for take-away. Phone order was friendly and I was warned to bring cash as my order was under $25. I arrived a few minutes before I said I would pick up. The restaurant is nice space and staff were friendly upon arrival. My order was ready waiting for me. I had the Tom Yum chicken soup and the red duck curry with Jasmin steamed rice. The soup was wonderful balance of sweet, sour and spicy with mushrooms, tomato and nicely cooked chicken. Great way to start the meal. The duck was cooked perfectly and the curry was nice, but not overly spicy. Rice was fragrant and fluffy. I was very impressed with my meal and will go in to dine next time.
A lovely restaurant. Started off with warm towels which is a nice touch. We shared the curry puffs which are some of the best we've had. This was followed by the Mango Tango and Fish Salad which is brilliant and the Massaman Lamb Cutlet which was also very tasty. The steamed rice was supplied as needed which I love. Service is very good. BYO is handy. Can recommend.
This place is a tad pricier than your usual Thai takeaway spot although the quality of food and service justify it. The coconut and lime prawns were my fav, it was subtle yet tasty. Loved the coconut flesh in the dish. Curry puffs were crispy with a sweet tangy sauce. Larb was alright. The green curry chicken was well balanced. Crispy fish was crisp with a light sauce that complimented the dish. Decent wine selection by the glass. Service was so friendly. The hand towels at the beginning of the meal are a nice touch. Def recommend this place! Look forward to trying more on the menu.

A restaurant which is have returned to several times. The service is excellent and the food is tasty, fresh and delicious. The servings are not on the large size and could, perhaps do with increasing slightly, especially since it is not the cheapest Thai restaurant in the area. However, the food and service is faultless. The chicken larb, green curry and beef and chilli are all yummy.
Pricy but delicious thai in Applecross. Plenty of options to choose from. Everything is very fresh (always) and worth the extra $! Love the Mango Fish salad - so delicate and beautiful. Green curry is also a winner. Also really like the Spring rolls. They also deliver!

Lovely food and friendly service. I and my wife went to this restaurant for dinner. The service from start which provides refreshment towel and cold water is exceptional. (Very rare nowadays to provide free water. The food were tasty, fresh ingredients and delicious. The staff are friendly and smiley. Our favorites are mongo fish salad and coconut prawns. We will recommend our mates and definitely we'll come back.
Good menu choices, much nicer interior than most Thai Restaurant's but missing that flavour hit.. Enjoyed our meal on a very quite Tuesday evening, we we're the only people dining. The menu had good range of traditional and basic's for the not so adventurous. I found the pricing slightly above average for Thai but worth it for the restaurant interior and service. Our food was enjoyable but not fantastic, missed that fresh mix of flavour you expect from Thai, we found the stir fry sauces very sweet almost Cantonese style.
Hidden Treasure: Little price with Elegant place. We went here last week with my old mates. It is very hard to find this restaurant. However, their food and service are incredible. Starting of cold water and hot towel, staff are very attentive and polite. The food are very tasty and well presented. Lastly, the prices are much much cheaper than other Thai restaurants. Our recommendation: Summer Thai roll, Coconut prawn, Crispy pork, Green Curry, Pad Thai.
I've had a lot of mediocre Thai food in Perth and was slowly starting to lose hope. Well this place has given me my faith back. The curries were all really good: Penang, choo chee and yellow curry. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff are friendly. I wish I'd come here sooner.
Absolutely fabulous!!!. We often buy take away from Colours of Thai. All dishes are lovely, never disappointed. Tonight we decided to celebrate father day (early cos' I work in mining), we were dinning here, crispy pork was awesome, services are excellent. This was even better than our usual take away. What we can say this is one of the best thai restaurant in perth. A Must Visit!!
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and even more amazing waiting staff. So much flavour in the meals, and decently priced too! A definite must try.

Rocked up at 7pm with out a booking.Not only was the Manager understanding and able to seat us 2 people but the food was great, fresh, tasty and well priced.it Was that busy after we got there we felt guilty having them make room for us to be seated.reserved signs on most tables - the place was packed!!!
Lovely food and service. We reserved a table on Thursday for Lunch on our friend's Birthday here. It was wonderful. The waiter was very attentive to us and other tables. Our glasses of water always filled up. The dishes were fresh and delicious. The lunch special (entree, main course and soft drink) was only $15. That's absolutely fantastic . We would love to come back again.
Fantastic Thai!!!. We've just moved from Sydney and try some restaurants in Perth. We found this restaurant is very good service, tasty food and reasonable prices (compare to other restaurants in the area). Arrival with hot towel given, which was surprised and up-class restaurant. We tries Colours of Thai Rolls, Tom yom soup and coconut prawn which were awesome. The yellow curry, chicken was a bit overcooked. This restaurant will be our regular visit. Highly recommend!

Lunch special includes an entree, a main and a tea or coffee for less than $20! Pad Thai noodles were absolutely delicious! As are the curry puffs! Very lovely little meals!
Really great meal, the atmosphere was lovely with Thai music and a water feature gentle trickling in the background. We were sat outside in the middle of winter and loved it due to the great outdoor setting and plentiful heaters. The staff were really friendly and attentive also

Beautiful food and staff. My family and I went to Colours of Thai last night, and if you haven't discovered this little gem I suggest you check it out! Eating out and having Coeliac can be frustrating, especially where you want to order some dishes to share - but not at Colours of Thai.
I made a booking and asked if they had any gluten free options, and they said they did and would prepare a menu. On arrival, they gave me a menu marking all the dishes they could do gluten free, and what a choice there was!
We ordered the chicken and prawn pad thai, coconut and lime prawns, chicken basil stirfry, and a steam seafood curry - all absolutely divine! The five of us cleaned up the meals pretty quickly, and the portion sizes were perfect.
The price was excellent for the quality of food and level of service - the tables have white table clothes, we received iced water and hot towels on arrival, and the staff were prompt and friendly. They do takeaway and home delivery too...we'll definitely be back!
Nice Thai Restaurant!. Firstly, Impressed us with hot towels and water (hardly find this good service in the restaurant). We thought that the food must be expensive, BUT!!!! Not at all, mostly are under $20 dishes for Thai restaurant!!! Wow!!! We tried their special steam seafood curry in fresh coconut and the fish, both were wonderful. Service was great. We will visit again next time, to try other dishes.
Excellent Thai Restaurant. Our family often visit here at least every fortnight. The prices never been changed for a while. The portion and quality are consistently good. The recommend dishes are Crispy Pork and Chinese Vegie, Massamun curry, and Crispy chicken lemongrass salad. The waiting time is a little bit long. (when they're busy) The services are always good.

New way of Thai restaurant. One of our friends recommend this place to us, but we are not quite sure when read the comments. So we decided to try out. The service is outstanding. We ordered tom yum soup, coconut prawn curry, crispy pork and maslaman curry, they are great taste but a bit too small compare to other dishes, macadamia nut beef and ginger chicken are a lot. All are tasty and fresh ingredients. We could not finish, and we had to take away the rest back home. One of the best Thai restaurant in Perth. We will come back to try other dishes. Recommend this restaurant.
So Impressed! This is a beautiful restaurant with gorgeously friendly staff and the food is delicious! My favourite is the pineapple fried rice, can eat so much of that stuff!
Outstanding Thai Restaurant. Excellent service, very creative restuarant. The foods are great but some of them just ok. The prices are average even much cheaper than some other Thai restaurants. Recommend dishes: coconut lime prawn curry, crispy pork and lamb cutlets curry.
Amazing service and food. Portion sizes are relatively small but personally i think it's worth it. This is by far, one of the nicest thai restaurants I've been too and i eat thai food regularly. The waiters were very nice and made us feel welcome. Highly recommended :)
Good quality but expensive. We have spent a small fortune on take out over the last cople of years. The quality is always good but size Is inconsistent and the prices are a bit steep. Delivery times can also be poor so now we go get it.
Value for money, yum!!!. We ordered prawn lime coconut curry, crispy pork, chili basil with beef, pad Thai noodle, and muses an beef curry. They were lovely, fresh ingredients and plenty. We had to take the left back home. Enjoyable restaurant. We will visit here again. Recommend this!!!
Creative Thai Food and Good Service 9/10. Great welcome by waitress. We tried their special dish "steam curry with seafood in coconut" which surprised us when it came out. It looked great, creative and the taste was wonderful. We recommend this Thai restaurant. Definitely we are coming back.

One of the best Thai in Perth. We tried coconut lime prawn and Tom yum stir fried , they were absolutely superb!!! The service was excellent. The atmosphere was great for hang out. We will come back again.
Very good food and service. Coconut lime prawn is very flavoursome. Roast duck red curry is creamy and superb. One of the best I ever visit. Recommend to my friends. Only one thing to complain 'the waiting time' we understand that we hadn't booked however it was slow though. Next time we will book in advance.
AMAZING. The food was absolutely beautiful! i was surprised for a Saturday night the place was not packed!
We had the curry Gaeng Panaeng and the special Fried Duck with Orange Chilli Sauce, and it was DELICIOUS! Best Thai food I've ever had. Was quite filling too, just the right amount.
The waiter was also quite sweet and very polite.
Will definitely recommend the place, and will be returning soon.

Thai-tles are hard to come up with.. Excuse my horrible pun, but I really am terrible with creating titles. Let that not detract from my review of this great restaurant. There are quite a few good reasons to eat at Colours of Thai, some of which I will list below:
1) Their staff are friendly, polite, and helpful when ordering dishes with names one finds difficult to pronounce.
2) The atmosphere is inviting and you don't have to shout to be heard by the person sitting next to you or even across from you.
3) The food is delicious, which is always a plus in my book. Although the servings are on the smaller side, the taste is still wonderful.
4) They aren't stingy on the chili. After sampling one of the pork stir-fries my sister and I had difficulty communicating with each other for a good ten minutes while our mouths coped with being assaulted by their fiery chili sauce. Chili haters be warned!
5) They make a mean special fried rice.
The only negative comment I have for this restaurant is that the waiting time between entrees and mains was longer than usual, but it just gave me the time to work up my appetite! I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again in the future, and I recommend everyone else do the same.
Top Class!!!. We have been here every week because of their dishes and prices (compare to other Thai Restaurants). Their services is absolutely outstanding. We tried their Grill Snapper, Herbs & Banana Leave, that's very top class taste. However, the only one thing is sometimes the dishes come slow. Overall they are doing very well with this.
Awesome!!!. I never been there before but many people recommend this place to me. We ordered coconut lime prawn and yellow curry and tum yum stir fried they are very tasty. Big portion, we still have some left for our lunch tomorrow. We will be back again. One of my favourite thai restaurant.
Nice tweeking of Royal Thai. As we hadn't eaten here before we chose a banquet to sample a range of the dishes - good choice! Every dish was fabbo with some traditional and some twists. The Choo chee was excellent as were the fish cakes - fish cakes are my measuring stick of a Thai restaurant!

Great Takeaway. The garlic and pepper chicken dish is always my favourite pick at $18 (with rice). The chicken is succulent and flavoured to perfection. The restaurant looks a little sterile, but is usually busy at the weekend.
Yummy. Have been here a few times with a group of friends. We ordered a few dishes and shared between us. The food has been consistently good. My favourite is the Gaeng Massaman Beef Curry. It is really good value, usually coming out to less than $15 each for the food.

Once we had finished our meals we weren’t offered tea or coffee which we were surprised at but the staff did step in and offer to take a group photo for us when we were snapping away. Overall the staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was well cooked. I would definitely eat here again.
Authentic Thai cuisine nestled in the food district of Applecross. Prices are reasonable in comparison to the other Thai restaurant near by. Lured in by their 25% off Facebook promotion on a Monday evening, we were the only customers which was good for an intimate night but as it wasn't busy, they didn't prepare any of their dessert menu items except for the stick black rice. Would try again on a Friday or a Saturday.

Best Thai food me and my partner have ever had. Dinner Sunday night not too busy, lovely decor and friendly staff. The chicken wrapped in lettuce (no. 3 on menu) was to die for,perfect balance of flavours. Curry puffs were fresh, very tastey. Omg the mains, so much flavour! I had the pad Thai wrapped in omelette (no. 47) was different and delicious. The steamed seafood curry was beautiful... Great night out with my partner! :)
Had a great lunch there, we shared 3 dishes with rice. Green curry, panang curry and a roasted pork dish, all very good. As we live in Thailand, the dishes are to the western taste so not so spicy as they are back in thailand but still very enjoyable with reasonable pricing.
Very good atmosphere, staff are lovely and the food was tasty. Great value for money, plus you can BYO. 3 of us had starters, drinks & sizeable mains for $45 each.
