Review La Dolce Vita - Armadale

owner was so nice, he talks to everyone positively, the shop was cosy and warm, and the pizza was delicious. it was piled with toppings and the crust was small. 10/10 would recommend.

One of the best pizzas we had in Australia. The chef was very generous with the toppings. Recommended.

Beautiful fresh pizzas, quality ingredients and they are made properly. There is no oil or grease whatsoever on the box which is a rare find. Can get a bit pricey but you have to pay for quality. Delicious.

I have been buying cakes here for the last eleven years, latest today in a last minute rush. This place is a treasure of authentic home made cakes with the best Continental sponges filled with various custards I can find. Ordering process for celebration cakes is personal with many options.

Great original Pizzas. Love it.

Really nice pizza friendly staff and there is absolutely no grease on the pizza. The delivery process was great

Best Old school Pizza in the area !

La Dolce was a sturdy pizza experience: plenty of toppings, tasty, fresh. I'd put it on par with Wise Guys, another pizza joint that I like in the area.
It's a cut above the dominos/pizza hut fare, but so are the prices. Worth checking out, especially on one of those nights when you don't feel like cooking.

The LDV delivery system most definitely needs an upgrade. As a renter who has begged my landlord to fix a broken buzzer I let LDV know of this every time and ask them to call me when they are downstairs. Every time they say this isn't possible and they will call as the pizzas leave the shop. After a few times of waiting downstairs for a while before meeting the delivery driver this time I decided to wait a little bit longer, but was met by a delivery driver who decide to berate me because "he had been waiting for so long" before giving me my food. After apologising four times I told him that there wasn't much else I could say and apologised again. His attitude was appalling, letting me stand in the street and just repeatedly telling me off. Also when complaining over the phone I was told "Thanks for letting us know" and then hung up on. Step into the digital age, if you can't manage to call me when you are outside my property I'll just order Uber Eats pizza from plenty of different locations :)

I love this place for pizza! Affordable and great staff only reason not higher sometimes i find they have overly dry bases on busy days andthe food is missing that oomph. Also it would be great to see a longer menu.

I used to really enjoy these pizza's until last Friday night when I went in to collect my pizza. After the girl took my cash she immediately put her hands straight into the pizza dough to flatten it. She was not wearing any gloves and her hands went from touching money (notes and coins) to the pizza dough. Makes me wonder about the levels of hygiene throughout the rest of the business.

Fetched a pizza here on Wednesday night. Best pizza I've had in Melbourne. Crust was medium thickness, perfectly done. Toppings were very generous. I'll come back here all the time. Thank you very much!

For what it is (and make no mistake, it really is a pizza take-away spot! do not expect a vibe, friendly service or a vino to accompany your meal in-house), the pizza is excellent! Generous amounts of toppings, a good medium crust, lots of classic options to choose from.

I've been going here for years and there's one major flaw that I hope they resolve. There's not enough tomato sauce! We stopped going here a couple of years ago because there wasn't enough sauce and tried it again tonight. Yet again, basically cheese and bread. C'mon guys, you need to pick up your game.

MORE TOMATO SAUCE!

Pretty good local pizza place. If I didn't live nearby I wouldn't be going out of my way to get here however pizzas are good enough to keep me coming back. Have always had good pizzas from here except when I tried the mexican, pizza ham and chilli flakes is not enough to call it mexican!

Surprised at the good reviews, will never order here again. Is this place run by teenagers? Tried to order a couple of pizzas from someone on the phone whilst their buddy was in the background, sniggering the entire time. Hate going to bigger chains for pizza but would rather do that than call these guys. Ended up cancelling the order.

Less tinned mushrooms please!. Pizza place is small, better suited for take-away. My veg pizza had mushrooms which must have been tinned and not drained as it made the pizza base soggy. For meat pizzas - this place is value for money, for take-away veg pizzas - I would create a Crust login, use the app and score free home delivery.

Dry and tasteless. I also don't get how this place gets its high rating. I threw the outer third of the whole pizza out as it was completely dried out from the oven, from the ham on the top through to the crispy, crackerbread-like base they use. What really annoyed me off was that I asked them for extra cheese, and was happy to pay, and was told there was plenty on there already. Sauce was also tasteless and I suspect form a tin or packet.

Best local pizza. On behalf of my boyfriend and I this is the pizza ever.
It's the best local pizza take shop in Melbourne. If I didn't leave in the area I would still drive a mile to buy one

One of the best pizzas in melbourne.. Been coming here for years and never got a bad pizza. Usually get an LDV special or make my own with cheese, salami, achovies, olives, pineapple and chilli.

No frills, local, quality pizza place. Support the little guys. OVERALL- 4/5

La Dolce Vita is a small pizza place on High Street. The drinks fridge is limited to your standard soft drinks with no liquor license. Whilst predominantly take-away, there's seating for about 10. They only serve pizza and have a good range of toppings and pizza sizes. Pizza's are pretty good, and they provide the option of ham off the bone over the more processed type ham. Good place for a very casual eat in or take out pizza!
