Review The Narrogin Inn - Armadale

First time here and we loved it. The food was great. Fresh tasty and served beautifully. Lovely comfortable atmosphere. As we arrived we where greeted by Amy, an amazing friendly and welcoming staff member. As we hadn't been here before she explained the menu and seating options. Definitely give this place a go , we will be back for sure. The building and surrounds are all so historic. Loved it.

We love The Narry! In our experience the food is Always lovely, the staff are kind and helpful, there is generally always a quiet and cozy nook to eat and drink, but rooms are also large enough to hold a celebration. The fires and decor are delightful on a cold day and hygge at it's finest. We highly reccomend the Buffalo Chicken wings and tequila sunrise! They have Guinness on tap, which is always better, and pour it well! And their cocktails are (imo) reasonably priced for Perth. The kitchen are fabulous, and food is generally tasty, quick, and hot! If you're looking for a nice pub/tavern to have a meal, check it out!

Food was great and the service was okay until we had finished our entrees As there was 4 of us we thought we'd be helpful by stacking our plates ,knives and forks into the centre of the table for collection. When our mains came out we were told twice by the waitress ..please use your fork and knife from previous meal.. OMG Really !! LOVE my friends but not enough to share their germs.

Great steak sandwich (on Turkish bread) and Narry burger. Mountains of perfectly cooked chips with both. Service was fast and friendly and the old pub was comfortable and quiet, even though it's on a major intersection.

Went there to meet a person who we had not met before. Got the drinks exactly as ordered. After the meet up we adjourned to the smokers lounge, with plenty of room. A really nice place to visit.

It's OK. Don't expect anything fantastic with regards to the food. Yes, it's pub grub but it's sad. A salad with a meal could hardly be called a salad. It came with an eighth of a slice of tomato sat on a few leaves of lettuce / spinach / green leaves. Our fish (grilled) was only just cooked - a little longer to remove the slightly wet middle would be good. Chips too could have done with a few minutes more to brown them. Will we drop by again? Probably not.

Very good carbonara here. The beef brisket is a tad on the salty side. Service is great, wait staff was very friendly and helpful.

Went down for a Valentines dinner and could not fault the place. They were flat out busy and still offered great service, the food was great and quite cheap for the high quality. You have won a new customer

We had a lovely lunch here and were greatly impressed by the menu choices, the prices, the speed of service, the cleanliness of the venue, the retro decor, and the lovely staff. We ordered a Seafood basket and a Parmi and both were cooked perfectly and came out in good time. Thanks everyone - we will be back :)

Stopped in yesterday for a feed and an ale for lunch before heading home. Love this place and is hard to find another like it, the food is always great and the staff always friendly and good for a laugh. We may have moved 80Ks away but we will still be calling in. Oh P.s we may have to start buying your garlic sauce in a takeaway pack

Had such a nice evening tonight with my partner. Was my first time here. Friendly staff, relaxing casual atmosphere and customers were friendly as well which added to the welcoming feeling we got. We had enough time to sit and enjoy our meals - chicken parmi and pork schnitz with a beer and wine - tasty meals. Definitely want to come back and try different meals. Especially if we can come back on a Thurs night seeming we couldn't stay tonight for the Chase The Ace draw. Gave our tickets to a lovely lady who was warm and friendly with conversation. Never got her name but hope she had the good luck to win the prize on our behalf!? The social clubs advertised here also sound like a great way to meet new people, what a great idea...

I went there on a Monday night and decided to have dinner there and a few drinks.

Upon entering, the staff were friendly and inviting. The decor was what you'd expect for a bar. My friend and I decided to sit outside though. It was a cold night but luckily we sat next to an outdoor heater.

I ordered the scotch fillet ($25.50) and my friend ordered the hamburger and chips ($9.95).

The steak was requested to be medium rare but was over cooked. I'd consider it definitely well done for sure which was a massive let down. The chips were average and the gravy was nothing special.

My friends burger apparently lacked any taste whatsoever which was a shame but apparently still very filling considering the price.

Afterwards, we ordered some cocktails which were priced at $13.95 each. I personally loved the cosmopolitan and the fruit tingle. The pina colada & sex on a beach weren't anything too special.

My main issue with the drinks is they're quite pricey and arguably not worth it in my opinion. They were all tiny portions.

Overall, I don't think I'd recommend this place to anybody. I feel there are better bars out there with much better food!

Visited Ye Olde Narrogin Inne on a Sat night. First advice, it is also called The Narry. Our GPS had us going in circles until we spied a little sign proclaiming it to be the Ye Olde Narrogin Inne.

The dining area is totally separated from the pub/sports bar wing also.

Ok, they had a mixed grill special on the black board and various other food on the menu. Being only the Big Boss and me, we both settled for steaks.

The Big Boss had the Sirloin steak and I had the Rump steak. They had a good assortment of beer on tap as well.

Ordering to table service took about 15 minutes which is good. Restaurant was also half filled by this time so obviously kitchen is efficient. Unfortunately, wait staff got the sirloin and the rump mixed up and had applied pepper sauce on both when it was suppose to be one with pepper sauce and one with mushroom sauce. We were not too fussed about it though as it was a simple thing of swapping plates and the wife scrapping the pepper sauce off.

So how were the steaks? For the price that I had paid, I was pleasantly delighted. Most of the other establishments would have easily charge us double for the same size. Steaks were cooked to specifications, chips were tasty and OMG! I don't believe that I am saying this, but more salad would be nice. Yes, yes, I must be suffering from a head cold.

Ambience is that of a pub so nothing much to complain about. Environment was nice and acoustics were alright so you did not have to shout to make yourself heard. Parking is plentiful as well.

So is it worth a return visit? I would say so. It's near, the food is nice, prices are acceptable and most importantly they have Guinness and Kilkenny on tap.

Surprisingly good food! My calamari was really well cooked and tasty, and the burgers were a solid choice. The value for money here is great !

Pretty rough pub, but myself I haven't had any problems here. I've dropped by for a pint a few times over the warmer days and we've had wedges. Nice to sit in the sun.

Came here on a Saturday night and waited approximately 40min for our meals, the place was not very busy. I ordered a grilled fish and mash and instead received grilled fish and chips, so the Chef or waitress couldn't get a simple order right. I was hungry and just wanted to get out of there, so did not complain. Upon tasting the fish, I could immediately tell that it was not fresh, and tasted as it had been frozen and chips were soggy. Very disappointed that this pub charged top dollar for food that or poor quality and taste. Will not be going back to this place.

Overpriced and sort of crap, also super awful service!!. If you want to pay loads of money and get crappy food you should come here. Also the servers are super rude and the drinks super expensive and tiny!

Disappointed. We have been to the narrogin Inne lounge 3 times inThe last 6 weeks. Great meals, great service the first 2 times. The 3rd time, great service from bar staff, ordered and confirmed what I ordered but when the meals Arrived I got garlic sauce instead of mushroom and we never got the side salad we ordered. Managed to catch the attention of staff( we had finished meal by then) and queried why we didn't get side salad (think she was a settlers resuraunt staff member) she went to check. After waiting a further 10 minutes of no response we left Dissapointed. Will try somewhere else next time.

Top Pub Grub. We went for lunch on sunday, although we arrived late (2.30pm) was no trouble to order. the staff are friendly and effficient. best fish and chips i have had for a long time - fresh, hot and served quickly. the prices can't be beaten!! i am not a local, but will be back for sure :)

Fillet mignione was awesome. Came here for lunch Thursday arvo. Sevice
was couldn't be faulted either really. Decor is ancient but has character, it's an old pub. Prices were great $28 for top notch steak you would normally expect to pay $40 to $50 for. Recommend as a casual pub dining experience.

Just had much here with my family, highly recommend the Beef & Guinness Pie with steakhouse chips! Lovely flavours! Went well with the perfectly poured pint of Kilkenny :) our boys had the kids grilled fish and chips and lasagne & chips, the whole lot was gone - great sign! Very prompt and friendly service! All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will be back again next time we're in the Neighbourhood!!

Fabulous meal. My friend and I went for Mother's Day Lunch at the Narrogin Inne. Despite being a very busy day, we were quickly served good food, by friendly & professional staff at a very reasonble price. I look forward to going back again soon!

Disappointed. Went with family about 4 weeks ago for lunch & it was great, no complaints. Hubby & I decided to go back for lunch for our wedding anniversary. Big mistake. I ordered surf & turf well done. It had blood running out of it so sent it back, waitress apologised & said she didn't tell kitchen to cook it well done. After 5 minutes waitress returned and asked if I'd like to order a salad while waiting. Why would I want to pay for a salad for their mistake? Second steak came out and was tough & hubby had already finished his meal. When paying they asked how was the meal and weren't too happy when we said it was "ok". "Oh, we don't like to hear that" said the waitress. So disappointed, won't be going back.

Gluten free friendly. Gluten free chips at a local restaurant!
Been a few times now, last time I just wanted a cheap bar meal. Ordered a steak sandwich and and chips without the bread. Was very pleased to receive a lovely little steak, lots of chips and I'm sure they gave me more salad than you would otherwise get in a sandwich.
Thanks for catering for my needs, see you again soon.

Went to The Narrogin Inne on Sunday for Father's Day and had a wonderful time. Cosy, friendly atmosphere with a classic menu done to perfection. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for the lovely day.

We went here for dinner on the weekend. We are a family of 5 and when we arrived it was full. The waitress went to the trouble of moving another table around to fit us in. Dinner was absolutely amazing, hubby and the kids loved it.
The service was second to none. In spite of being really busy the waitress took the time to chat and made sure everything was spot on.
The open fires, awesum food and fantastic service is the reason we will be back . Thanks for a great nite
Sandy
If you are looking for cosy and warm on a cold rainy day this is perfect with its small intimate front bar and small but well stoked fire. We ordered lamb shanks for $19.95. While the very generous serve of two huge shanks came out in a rich tomato sauce over mashed potatoes isnt going to have your taste buds dancing with excitement it does have a lovely home cooked meal feeling to it. Couldn't fault the service given its a pub with a busy barmaid and the kitchen staff were very helpful when dealing with the needs of a baby. Will be coming back again.
TLC FOOD
Awesome. My Husband and I went to check an iconic pub, been ages. Heritage listed and still the same It was fantastic, great food , just like home cooking, spuds mashed to perfection with just the right amount of salt. Fillet mignon was amazing, hubby had chicken cabonarra, also amazing, couldn't fault the food the service or the drinks. A little bit on the rabbit warren side, hard to find toilet but if that is the worse thing they are on a winner, Well Done Hayley and Staff.
Did I mention how friendly everyone was......
