Review Whitebull Hotel - Armidale

If you want to eat the beat steak on town ... Don't come here , they were extremely bad ,I paid $50 for a rib eye and they didn't cooked property twice.. very disappointed even they offered a second one ... The buffalo wings tasted like sweet and sour Chinese chicken... And the blue cheese was like cheese with water ... Customer service was ok but they could do better ...

A very disappointing dinning experience in Armidale, the worst scotch fillet steak “The Bull” we ever have , I should have ordered a piece of rubber than “The Bull” , see photo. Very hard to win a smile from the busy staff also. We are not picky dinners while have travelled numerous places around the world, we know what we mean quality!

Just what I needed on a cold winters night. A hearty pub meal in a warm atmosphere. Dined here while staying in Armidale for the night. We ate at a high table in the pub area as opposed to the dining room. I appreciated how I could order and pay through the QR code on the table (though ordering this way was not mandatory). The pub was heated to a nice warm temperature which was needed on a 1 degree evening. It was busy when we arrived but the food came out quickly. Two of us ordered the chicken parmigiana and disappointingly the chicken was overcooked and a bit dry and one dish had noticeably more fries than the other. A decent selection of beers is available from the bar. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere, the selection of beers but the food could be improved.

Good pub grub! Had the mixed grill which is value for money and allows you to sample a bit of variety. The steak was good but cooked a bit too much for my medium-rare order. Staff were friendly and the ambience is really good. A few desserts had run out so we had the sticky date pudding which was nice!

I’ve always believed you can’t go wrong with a pub meal, but the Whitebull takes it to the next level! The meals were beautifully prepared and of a decent size, plus the service was quick. The beer and spirits selection sported a good range of local products, plus the usual suspects. Staff were friendly and well presented, and overall the venue had a welcoming, comfortable feel.

Very good experience, we were given a place immediately and were able to use a website - our phones to order which is very different and appreciated. The food was top of the line except for the lemonade which tasted like grass to be honest - that is what cost this restaurant it's fifth star. Overall very good experience but the drinks - not the alcohol mind you, were very disappointing.

Delicious meals, amazing ambience, highly recommend when you're dining out in Armidale. We are from out of the state, a family member was discharged from hospital on her birthday, this place was recommended to us by the nurses. Can't thank them enough. Fabulous place. 🏆

Jason the manager very disgusting attitude. You have the worst attitude to be a manager for a pub like white bill. I have been served mocktails in whitebull couple of times and charged the lowest amount as it didn’t have alcohol. Some patrons few of them where just argumentative. For that matter the bar wasn’t busy. I have been in this establishment where it was full and I still had the best serve ever. Jason you don’t deserve to be a manager at all your peoples skills is not good for the business. Get this, as a manager you get to listen to clients and be helpful. Sav Blanc plus mocktail at first was charged $21.50 (12.50 for mocktail and sav it ranges on what kind of sav you have). Jason do better, be better human

Very enjoyable, we’ve lived in Armidale for a year and have been looking for a place with quality surroundings, good food and wine. Last night we found it. Had beautiful entrees, Burgers for mains, everything was beautifully prepared and staff so friendly. We will definitely be back to work through the menu. I’m a pretty tough critic and last night I struggled to find anything to fault. Thanks to all.

My wife and I had drinks before dinner next to the fire place. Absolutely delightful atmosphere. Both ordered baked barramundi with vegetables, beautifully cooked, hot and very tasty. Well done to the chefs!! I enjoyed a Dom Benedictine (liqueur) with coffee. Great to see you have Dom as so many places don’t keep it! Again thank you to all staff, very friendly and helpful.

Recommended by the staff at Armidale Tourist Park. Great ambience! Open fires made it very warm and inviting. We had a beautifully cooked steak for lunch with all the trimmings and a few drinks. Great way to spend an afternoon. We also found out that this is an independently owned pub and not a chain. Great to see!! Keep up the good work White Bull!! Top pub!! Well worth a visit....or two!

Lovely meal and very friendly staff, needed a quick dinner after a long drive and it was excellent.

Totally excellent on every level We had our work Christmas party upstairs with a balcony view.There were 25 of us and the food arrived without a huge wait and was done to perfection and still hot all meals chosen from the normal downstairs menu. I would not hesitate to recommend The White Bull it was a very pleasant and enjoyable evening

Not very good. I ordered a Thai beef salad which had capsicum, onion, dried noodles and tomatoes topped with beef. However the salad was minimally dressed with honey mustard dressing. When I questioned the dish, the chef, with very bad grace, just chucked a handful of dried chilli on the top. This is not what I ordered. My husband’s expensive a la carte steak was tough. We wouldn’t bother coming here again, the food was inedible and the attitude of the kitchen terrible. AVOID at all costs!

Great pub, great food, great price, great staff... I have paid far more for far less in quality and service at trendy city based venues. Well done. Will return!

We visited 2 nights in a row and had lovely meals both times. The wine was great - sauvignon blanc. The service from all staff was excellent. Would definitely go again if we ever visit again from UK!

Was great can’t fold food for that price and speed, beer was cold, place looks great fun to be.

Unfortunately our meal was on the cool side, would have been more enjoyable had it been much warmer to hot. On nights like last night maybe more staff to deliver hot meals.

price was fair and so was the meals but they run out of there speicals that they advertised but staff didnt know and was still taking orders for them long before they where told.

Great atmoshere and loved the cosy warmth beside the fire. Good selection of value meals at $15 which were served hot and tasty.
