Review Banksia Bistro - Arncliffe

We live close by and decided to visit for dinner for the first time. The staff were disinterested at best, and we felt less than welcomed as soon as we stepped in. Food was just fine, and unfortunately that's not a compliment given the price tag. The venue itself certainly has potential but there was no effort to create any atmosphere. Not planning on coming back.

Came here for dinner with friends and ordered the Bangers and mash and Beef burger. Both were ok but definitely nothing special. The standout would have been the fries! The sausages were a strange texture - it's like the sausages were boiled so tasted almost mushy and floury. Unsure if it was just what we ordered on the night but we will unlikely be back.

Finally make it down to eat at the Bistro after a friend had posted many times the meals he had here. Really enjoyed our selection, very flavoursome meals and good portions. The standout dishes for me were the chicken salad and the greens w/ cheese entree (asparagus and broccolini). I also loved the lettuce side with the barramundi, it simply had this delicious dressing drizzled throughout it and it was amazing. Highly recommend, exceeded expectation.

The food is delicious you can tell it's made with care and passionate chef the staff are warm and friendly and know the menu you wouldn't know you're eating at a pub. Great food at reasonable price definitely will go back with the family

We had a great lunch at Banksia Bistro. The chicken schnitzel was perfectly cooked and the chilli mayo was just right. The pulled pork bun was a special on the day and was great as well. Good fresh clean surroundings with a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will return.

Good food. The beef cheeks were amazing!!! so soft and delicious with a good amount of jus. had a few bites of my husband's chicken schnitzel - i usually don't like chicken schnitzel but this was one was an exception. very lovely!

We moved to this area recently. Saw the reviews n decided to give it a try. Staff are not quite interested at all. $16 buffalo wings is a joke. I have never tasted buffalo wings that were fried. Parts of the wings were either too bland if not very salty on some part. Kfc wicked wings definitely will be better. The sauce is so salty. My partner had the $24 Schnitzel...not great but the fries were great. Dun think will come again...taste n quality does not justify the price. Wahaha....i graded it as 2 stars but my partner say honest truth is 1 star...

Another great family get together at the Banksia - roomy and open, clean surrounds ideal for all ages of the family, complimented with great pub food. Staff, both in the restaurant and the bar, were efficient and pleasant. Couldn't ask for more!
