I was so excited when I walked past Mister Nice Guy’s Bakeshop while I was in the area for work. I naturally wanted to buy everything but settled for a cupcake, doughnut and sausage roll. The sweets were both delicious, they would easily fool any non vegan. Although the sausage roll did taste like a vegan sausage roll, it was still delicious. I highly recommend this place for vegans and non vegans alike.
Picked up a takeaway late lunch on my way home from work. I just made it before they were about to close and they still served me and showed me what they had left in their take out window as well as getting me a mocha to go. So nice of the girl there! I went with the chickpea ‘tuna’ sub as it was one of the last options left. It wasn’t particularly what I would choose but this surprised the hell out of me. So tasty and huge! I am just hoping I can get in sooner next time and try the other vegan food on offer!
Absolutely delicious peanut butter brownie cheesecake. Loved that it was made from soy cream cheese rather than cashews, giving it a crumbly texture super similar to the non-vegan real deal and justifying the higher price. Perfect richness and not overly sweet. However the girl who served us looked really miserable, not a good contrast with the nice, chill vibe of the bakery :(
I’m not vegan but omg this is my new favourite cafe for cupcakes! The cupcakes looked average in store, just like any other place but so delicious I finished it in 30 seconds. The donut was good but the death by chocolate cupcake was amazing! Wish they had pricing of each item because stupidly was only carrying some coins, I would have ordered more if I knew. I’ll definitely be back.
My lovely friends surprised me with a large snickers cake ordered from mister nice guys. Im not a huge fan of cakes but this was AMAZING!! Super fresh, perfectly balanced, just sweet and creamy enough! And it stayed fresh a whole week later until it was eaten. It was a big cake. I wish they would make these cakes for the shop so you could try all different flavours in slice form. Its propably good that they dont because id be visiting every week. Thanks so much for the gorgeous cake guys.
O M G all I can say is yum ! The cinnamon bun/scroll was so soft and warm (probably because it was freshly baked). It had enough glaze and filling to make it sweet and cinnamon-y.
The service was great, everyone was nice. I would definitely go again to try out their other baked goods.
I also loved the fact that they had all types of options, whether you are gluten or lactose intolerant, vegan etc. they have it available.

What's not to love about Mister Nice Guy. The baked goods here are truly amazing, and with so many vegan options available, everyone can enjoy these treats. A cosy little cafe with a cool vibe and very friendly atmosphere and service.
The soy coffees are so good, and I love all their baked goods. It's so tough to choose between the donuts, pastries and cakes...everything looks delicious and mouth watering. They also have fantastic large cakes available that are beautifully decorated. If you are looking for a fantastic sweet treat in the west, you really don't need to look any further than Mister Nice Guy.
I purchased the Snickers cake for a colleague who was leaving and it went down better than I could have expected! The cake looked amazing, the buying experience was easy and the staff pleasant and most of all it was absolutely delicious.
Everyone in the office from vegans to die-hard carnivores was raving about how wonderful it was. Highly recommend!!
We attended a 60th birthday celebration last night and the cake was from Mister Nice Guy’s a decadent chocolate number that was a true indulgent treat. I loved the delicious buttercream inside too and the large size meant it more than catered for the 40 people in attendance

I ordered my birthday cake from Mister Nice Guy's a venue that has a wide array of vegan options. I discovered the bakery on Instagram and trekked over the Westgate for it that's how impressed I was with their offerings. Tough choice between the apple pie, pebbles, and key lime flavours but I eventually settled on pink lemonade. Lots of interesting and creative options you don't find everywhere. It was delicious and we all loved it. In fact they might get the gig again next year!
The cinnamon scroll was an absolute delight! It was big, moist, and totally satisfying for a person who doesn’t eat sweets often. Yum, yum, yum 😋
Got the chickpea tuna bagel, spinach and feta scroll and spinach and feta parcel, matcha latte and hot chocolate. Absolutely love the “tuna” bagel it tastes like tuna so its a plus if youre vegan! Great speciality lattes aswell. Amazing service
Lovely vegan cafe with lots of interesting dishes. They occasionally do themed pastries (totoro, pokemon). I have tried their bagels and some of their sweets (cupcakes, bronut, baked doughnut, brownies) I would recommend the chickpea bagel, the bronut, and the peanut butter brownie. I would love to try all of their cupcakes as well but some are only available when you preorder with a minimum of a dozen. Maybe one day I’ll have a chance. Oh and do try their tumeric latte if you like tumeric.
I came here awhile ago to grab some cake for a friend who is vegan. At the same time I had a slice of their peanut butter cheese cake. It had good texture and tasted similar to an actual cheese cake save for a tofu-ish flavour to it. They had a wide variety of products on offer and the staff were very nice.
Mister Nice Guy’s is quite possibly the best vegan and allergy-friendly bakery in Melbourne. Their cruelty-free baked goods are some of the most sought for in town, and it’s always super busy.
My friend dropped in as soon as they opened at 9am to get us some of their famous cupcakes. We tried the Black Forest and the Cookies & Cream flavours.
Both cupcakes were amazing. The cupcakes themselves were incredibly soft and moist, and not one bit dry or crumbly like some other vegan cakes I’ve tried. The icing is very light and fluffy, and not too sweet which I love.
I will definitely be back to try more of their huge selection of cruelty-free and guilt-free treats!
Omg why have I not discovered this little gem of a bakery cafe before. Given we know so many people with gluten and lactose issues the cupcake range here alone would have been worth knowing about. Called in a grabbed a popcorn & caramel mudslide cupcake and a snickers bronut. These were both absolutely delicious although the GF muffin crumbled quite a bit but wasn’t dry so no drama there at all. So many yummy things
Dropped in on a public holiday Monday morning for some treats and picked up the jam doughnut and chocolate babka. Wow, both were so tasty and totally hit the spot. The doughnut was well cooked and crispy on the outside (even after being in the car and on the bench for hours), the dough wasn't too sweet and the jam was runny and complimented the dough well. The babka was packed with chocolate swirls that were super rich, the pastry was light and tasty. Vegan desserts sometimes have a bit of a bad rep for being really identifiable and not in a good way, but these were just perfect in every way. Will be back to try more.
After recently becoming Gluten Free due to health issues I have been visiting gluten free friendly places around Melbourne. Although I have consumed a few of the MisterNiceGuys cupcakes (which I find sickly sweet which is crazy for a sugarholic like me) I had never been to the bakery before. Today I stopped by and got a GF baked donut and chocolate brownie. I did think there was going to be a few more GF options available but was grateful to have a choice of three things. The baked donut was not the best... I found it very dense and a little bland with not enough sugar in it. But I have to say the brownie was delicious! Rich oozing chocolate with lots of macadamia nuts and a hint of salt to cut through the sweetness. Yummy! I will certainly be going back but will keep an eye out for more GF goodie on their Instagram page

Saturday afternoon, super busy. Staff, super friendly and super attentive, coming over and making sure we had enjoyed our food.
This is all good, but what all plant-based goodies had they got in store for us? The cinnamon scroll is amazing, so light and fluffy, so delicious. The sausage rolls had sold out on this occasion but I was told by my dining companion that this is their Saturday staple after the gym.
Coffee was great. The take-home cupcakes great. Not very often I use great this many times in one sitting.
My only regrets are that it is a long way from where I live, and I didn't get to try more!!
Amazing. I can't wait for November so that I can order my birthday cake from this place.

This place is THE BEST. Fulfils all my vegan junk food cravings and is so worth however much sugar/fat/refined carbs are in each delectable item. But all vegan food is healthy right? While I adore Mister Nice Guy's cakes as a treat, they're so sweet that they need to be an infrequent indulgence. The cinnamon roll, on the other hand, feels saintly in comparison and therefore means I'll justify that plus a coffee as a balanced breakfast... Don't judge. Recommendation number one is try everything on the menu, cause I've never had anything bad from this place. Recommendation two buy a whole red velvet cake, eat as much as you can while it's fresh, then freeze the rest. This may seem sacrilegious, but there's nothing better than a half-thawed and/or very slightly microwaved slice of this stuff.
I love the fact that we can order the cakes online. Make our own selection and pick up from their cafe. It was a breeze from the start and the cake was perfect, exactly like shown in the pictures! Taste-wise, one of the best cakes I’ve had in Melbourne and no doubt will be ordering from them again. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed our experience with lovely staff and fantastic food. Opting for the vegan sausage rolls, cookie cupcake and 2x shakes we were in bakery heaven!! The sausage rolls giving you the authentic sausage roll taste cruelty free. Super moist cupcake and an incredibly creamy shake there’s nothing I could fault.
Will definitely be coming back to try all the other incredible goodies this bakery has to offer.

Finally made it to one of those vegan paradise! All of the sweets and meals here are vegan 😊 i had the coffee chocolate donut and muffin with mini donut on top of it they were so so tasty! Service is very friendly and price is worth the quality. Definitely one of my favorite vegan paradise!
We ordered the unicorn cake for my daughter’s 5th birthday who’s allergic to eggs. The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing. My daughter loved it and was great that she could eat the same cake as everybody else. Highly recommend it!
Mister Nice Guys is hands down one of my favourite places in Melbourne. However I was sad to find out that they'd discontinued the ham and cheese croissants, they were one of my favourite things! Would love if they were brought back. Cheesymites are always amazing too. We ended up having a great chat with Samara who works there, wanted to mention her specifically because she's a great employee.
I had 5 of their pastry, some are a bit dry, but still really tasty, good amount of spices and frost, cream...etc...it is a nice place for a Vegan Pastry and coffee.
I have ordered many a cake here and had myself and my friends love it! This place is amazing! I finally went in and tried it in person, so many goodies to try I felt overwhelmed! Definitely need to come here more regularly, if you’re vegan get here now!

I often frequent and purchase cakes and savoury from Mister Nice Guys as it caters for my friends that have allergies and intolerance's. It is 100% egg free, diary free, lactose free, cochineal free, gelatin free and meat free. It also has options with soy-free, gluten-free, wheat-free, corn-free, fructose friendly & low gi options. It is a one shop stop when I need to cater for specific diets.
The service is friendly though at times I do feel they are not passionate when it comes to explaining the different variety of options (I assume they do it all day and get bored).
My favourite savoury is there cheesy mite scroll. I tried the coffee with coconut milk and I did not enjoy it. However it is specific taste.
I do like the cupcakes and when I have served them at parties I also tried the gluten free banana bread and for gluten free it was amazing.
All vegan and non vegans definitely need to give this place a go. Quite amazing how they make all this without dairy or butter.

We bought some cupcakes here for my little boys 1st birthday celebrations. He has a dairy allergy so it’s tricky to come by cakes that taste ok for him. All our guests got a cupcake and commented on how delicious they were. They never would have known they were dairy, gluten and egg free. So glad we have this place close by

Such a delicious bakery with very reasonable prices & the staff are super friendly! Their sweet & savoury scrolls are incredible as are all their baked goods! Everything tastes super fresh and you wouldn’t know it isn’t vegan! I also love all of their sweet drinks. The only limitation to this place is that seating is limited.
My overall thoughts on items:
Vegemite/spinach cheese scrolls- Fresh, fluffy & delicious (always ask for them to warm it up) But not very ‘cheesy.’ In my opinion though, the brioche style scroll makes up for this!
The dark chocolate babka- Honestly amazing I can’t flaw it- It is not too sweet, fluffy yet dense in a good way with a hint of cinammon. The biscuit crust on top makes it even better.
Cinammon Bun- These Guys are very sweet but in a good way! (not sickly) Again they are made with the delicious brioche and perfect amount of cinnamon! Sooooo good! Same goes with their cinnamon sugar bronuts- both a 10/10.
Cookies- Their giant cookies are incredible (HUGE chunks of chocolate chips & walnuts throughout) very satisfying!
Drinks- Good coffee & they do a georgous housemate chai latte! I also love the range of plant based milks they offer here! (Although I usually stick with Bonsoy)
Got my birthday cake here and it was the best cake ive ever had. Completely blown away! All the baked goods and staff are awesome. I love this place. I wish there were more shops like this.
Have been going here for years with my family. Staff have always been friendly over the years. The owners have always listened and taken action on customer feedback in my experience. I'm gobsmacked that people would complain this is a vegan bakery or that some of the items are too sweet (including their best selling products so they're clearly not bothering other people...)

Can't believe these cakes are vegan! Absolutely phenomenal. The quality reminds me of Magnolia Bakery in New York. I tried the Magilla Gorilla cake which was chocolate chip cake with banana frosting and a chocolate drop. Highly recommend!
I’m so glad that I live so close to this place! It has the best vegan treats ever and so well priced! The cupcakes are to die for I love every single flavour and I can’t believe it’s all vegan! It’s insane! They have really nice coffee as well! Love it
I am so happy I have found this place! The staff were lovely and very helpful with any questions. They knew exactly what was in their products and could help you navigate what delicious treats you could have depending on certain dietary preferences. As for the food... it was delicious! I had the Chocolate Babka and would definitely recommend it heated up.
Banofee cheesecake was yummy, not overly sweet. Chilli dog (brioche roll was awesome). You can't tell the sweet items are vegan and refined sugar free.

The cinnamon scrolls are my favourite and you wouldn't have a clue they are vegan (as everything here is!). At $5.80 they aren't cheap however they are huge-so good!
The chocolate babkas have the perfect amount of chocolate in them and I love the crumble topping.
The cupcakes are tasty without being overly sweet.
Their shakes are a little bland in flavour (even though they look amazing) so seem a bit expensive. I think the soy flavour is overpowering and it needs to be a bit thicker.

Heavenly food here. Great place to get a GF, fructose free, vegan birthday cake that's sure to impress for an excellent price. Great staff, delicious sweet and savoury food. Cupcakes are addictive, I struggle to stop at one.
Incredible curried "egg" bagel, slated caramel shake was visually appealing and all toppings great. Unfortunately the shake itself had no flavour, very nice coffee with homemade almond milk. All in all a good experience, came away with some take home goodies too.
Enjoy having the occasional treat. Love the fact that there is so much to choose from when there are dietary restrictions in play. The variety is great, staff are lovely, coffee is made well and it's always clean. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is that there is definitely sugar over load, even the savoury pastry items are too sweet. I had a savoury roll a couple of months ago and the brioche bun was soooo sweet the chickpea mixtures flavour was spoilt same as for the spinach and 'cheese' scroll on a different occasion.
I highly recommend these guys as they cater in a way others don't, in saying that expect to get very high on the sugar you consume. :)

Cannot rave enough about this place! Amazing vegan options that just proves you do not need dairy for amazing baked goods. Potato danish is delicious and monsters shakes are a sight to behold.

decided to try the peanut butter brownie and cinnamon roll. i didn't like the pb brownie because it was crunchy like a cookie but i liked the peanut butter filling in the middle. the cinnamon roll was lovely. the staff here was friendly, but i can't say much about the service because i didn't dine in. i will definitely be back to try their savoury bakes!
I was determined to try the much talked about Mister Nice Guy Bakeshop which was touted as a headliner in the Vegan Cupcake game and I was not disappointed. brownie and red velvet cupcake which I had were both good - I was dying to try one of their peanut butter chocolate options but they had sold out! I'll have to come back and try again.
I travel about an hour to come here for lunch and stock up on vegan goodies every few months.

Staff are so friendly and patient when I umm and arrh over what to take home, they are quite knowledgeable in regards to food allergies and always find out an answer quickly if they don't know something straight away.
The baked goodies here are magical. So many to choose from and it's hard to leave with just one item. We had a box of cupcakes, chocolate babka, bronut and chocolate brownie. The cupcakes are fluffy and moist, my favourites being the chocolate varieties. Also loved the chocolate brownie which is dark, rich and dense, you really only need a small piece of it. Can't wait to come back to try the cinnamon buns and more cupcakes.
The cinnamon bun may just be that, a cinnamon bun. But in this case it was a whole lotta memories as well. The taste, smell and full belly afterwards was a memory of a time I went to America and my Mum and I devoured a Cinnobun. Cinnobun is one of those chains across America you'd find at a mall or airport. They have coffee and milkshakes and of course cinnamon buns. Mum and I maybe overindulged a few times on our travels that warm sweet creamy icing pastry.
Always love this place! I live forever away but I make a trek every so often to stock up. This time I pigged out on a monster rainbow shake & potato with bechamel danish (pictured) plus x4 cupcakes, a sausage roll & a curried egg bagel for home. Yum yum yum enough said. Gimme more.
Been a regular here for years. My favourite items being the cinnamon buns, strawberry sprinkle donuts and a cashew mylk hot chocolate. Yum! The cakes taste so delicious, recently got a vanilla cake with strawberry frosting and everyone non vegan absolutely loved it and couldn't tell it didn't have animal products in it. Yay, love it here!
Ok wow!! While there's no dairy here the coffee is very good. I had a soy latte and also a coconut cap and they were both excellent. All the treats were quite delicious. The only down sides were how dense and heavy everything is. It certainly doesn't make you feel sick but if your after a coffee and a light snack you might want to wait until your a bit more hungry. It's definitely one of those places where you go to have a naughty treat, or you show off to your out of town friends. The staff were excellent but I would have liked it if the shop had been a bit cleaner. When you're this busy though it's totally understandable that it becomes hard to keep up with wipe downs.
Definitely not a vegan but I (Nic) came here ALL the time for a year and a bit when I lived in Ascot Vale.
Would happily recommend for all food eating groups as a place to go and enjoy guilt free food which is SO delicious. The sweets, savoury and coffee were always excellent from here and I will always go pick something up if I'm in the area. Could not recommend this place enough and if they still do them, the choc-mint Mocha melts my heart, incredibly delicious.

This place is amazing and essential eating for vegans and non vegans alike. Cinnamon scrolls and cupcakes are heavenly, and the milkshakes and delicious and gorgeous in equal measure. Also had the curried egg bagel which was awesome, as was the sausage roll.
Occasionally pop into here with my family when we're in the area. They make an awesome chocolate babka (you wouldn't even be able to tell that it's vegan!) that I always gravitate towards and can't leave without having. Their hot drinks are great too with such a wide selection of non-dairy milk. I definitely recommend getting a hot chocolate with coconut milk - it tastes like a bounty! Sometimes I find that the drinks aren't hot enough, though. Nevertheless, I think this place is great and the staff are always friendly which is a plus.
A favourite for vegan eats! The desserts are consistently of a high quality. My absolute favourites are the cinnamon buns. Just make sure you let you non-vego/veg mates know that they don't put dairy in coffees before you take them (it gave one friend a surprise) but trust me, one bite of a cinnamon bun and they'll be converts!

Because my pleasure shouldn't be derived from others pain! 🤘🏻I had a banana and cinnamon pastry which was very tasty and didn't leave a fatty taste in my mouth which dairy used to. Good variety. Would like to know what sugar alternatives are used though. But was surprised at the quality and no inflated prices because of the niche market which is great.
Now this is what I call donuts! A friend brought me here after I was complaining that donuts are overrated. I'm not sure I could eat them all the time but this is the place to get a donut!

BEST VEGAN DESSERTS EVER! The red velvet was incredible and a MUST! Can't believe how amazing they all tasted. There's so many options to choose from which can get super exciting and you end up ordering more than what you can consume. Coffee was great too! Seriously in love with this place

This place is my life, they can do no wrong! The best vegan bakery ever and if I could I would be here everyday. I envy those of you who live close to this beautiful place. Located in ascot vale you will find heaven.
Everything is completely vegan and they cater for sugar free and gluten free aswell. My favourites are the cinnamon bronuts, sausage roll and the cheese and Vegemite scroll. They also do a mad coconut milk latte. If you want lunch, a snack or a treat you will find it here at mister nice guys! They do insane milkshakes too!!
We absolutely love Mister Nice Guy's! Staff are super-super friendly and so helpful! Also give you little bits and pieces of complimentary stuff to try. BEST doughnuts in all of Melbourne. We have travelled through 10 countries and tried Cinnamon Scrolls or similar in all of them and The Cinnamon Buns here are seriously the Best in the World🌏 Mr Nice Guy's Cinnamon Buns are perfectly glazed and swirled, and have the perfect dough:cinnamon:glaze ratio! Annnnnd they're gluten and soy free 🎉
TIP: Do try the Cinnamon Buns they are an absolute must- if you don't you are a fool!
Absolutely incredible bakery with delicious fresh baked goods. Had the brownie and a donut and both were absolutely delicious. Coconut milk coffee and peppermint hot chocolate were amazing too. Omni's wouldn't be able to tell at all!
Love love love this place!! My boyfriend loves sweets but is lactose intolerant, so this is a weekly stop for us. Obviously nothing is better than teAl chocolate and dairy but obviously it's not everyone's cup of tea, so it's really nice knowing that there's somewhere accommodating that for people with allergies and different lifestyles that is absolutely delicious.
