Review Jovani's - Ascot Vale

My wife and I always enjoy our pizza and pasta at Jovani’s. the owners and staff are so polite and helpful. This is our pizza for tonight. Vegetarian with added chicken and cheese on top. Full of flavour. Two thumbs up 👍👍

The lasagna was just great so was the chicken pizza. Peter offered us all of his generosity. You would not find a better service in Melbourne. Highly recommend

I’ve both dined in and had take away from Jovanis a number of times. Hands down the best pizza and service I’ve had. And I love/eat a lot of pizza. Jovani’s is the best.

We found this place by accident as it is very close to our accommodation. I had a seafood marinara. My husband and my mother in law shared a pizza "Jovani's Special" and a garlic bread. The food was delicious. Very friendly Family Business.

Disappointed ordered theu Uber tonight capricosa large pizza suppose to have heaps of things on it All I got was ham and mushroom NO anchovies no capsicum no onion or any of the other things that was suppose to be on it Uber has plenty more choice will look elsewhere from now on

The owners are really lovely cute little pizza place. However the pizza bases are very bland which is an injustice to the lovely toppings.

Food is good and all staff are friendly and approachable. The only thing is the price has increased since pandemic, but it happens to 99% restaurants in Melbourne also.

Delivery staff are always efficient. I have always enjoyed the Jovani Special. The thin base the last time was too well done and the garlic bread the last three times has been on the well done taste burnt side. I usually also order the Mexicana with extra cheese and salami and while extra is paid for the increased toppings, we don't seem to see the extra toppings which is different how they were pre-covid.

We were at the Ascot Vale Pub for a meal and the chef had quite, we went to Jovanis for the first time and they are awesome! Up there with the best we have ever had, the base is number one Bellisimo!

Hey Jovani’s, I’ve eaten you pizzas for 15 years. There’s no other pizza like yours in the area. I’ve had a few beers with Sammy in the TAB over the years and have always enjoyed the best service from you. This has included getting a lift home with the driver, pizzas delivered on the tray and many great pizzas off the pan in the restaurant. During the week I rang up to order a pizza and was told there was a new delivery cost of $5 for people living in Essendon. When I asked the bloke on the phone why there was a $5 delivery charge, he said it can take the drivers 40 minutes to deliver because of the traffic. Essendon is two kilometres away. It’s nothing more than a cash grab. Disgruntled Customer!

Just waited over an hour and a half for delivery (told half an hour), pizza was lukewarm, drink was wrong and when I called up to check they told me it was on the way and no explanation or apology.

I came here for a takeaway not expecting much.<br/><br/>A rather pedestrian looking takeaway shopfront like countless other pizza/pasta fast food joints.<br/><br/>But boy was I in for a surprise!<br/>Never judge a book by its cover!<br/><br/>Felt like pasta tonight ... Ordered a spaghetti marinara pescatore ( mixed seafood with Napoli tomato based sauce)...with a hint of chilli.<br/><br/>Came out piping hot and had 2 clams and several large prawns which I lost count how many (not cheating tiny shrimp like how some other places dish out) plus some scallops and some calamari rings.<br/><br/>Seafood was fresh and crunchy... and sauce was superb.<br/><br/>The pasta itself was “al dente” to my delight.<br/><br/>Very good standard and amazing value for the price you pay for - my dish was $15.50.<br/><br/>And it came out in next to no time.... a quick bathroom visit after I had placed my order and when I came out, the order was ready for pickup !<br/><br/>To top it off, the owner and all the staff there were well mannered, helpful and respectful.<br/><br/>I thoroughly recommend you exchange your hard earned dollars for some quality food at this place.<br/><br/>Especially you Pasta lovers - it’s so hard to find a good place anywhere else.<br/><br/>Shall be back.<br/><br/>5 Stars happily.

The pizza crust is the best by far. Thin and not soggy. the Jovani's special has everything for the lot. I just add prawns extra. The Bolognese sauce is the best outside Italy. Highly recommended.

Very nice food and friendly service. Can be very busy for dine in but the atmosphere is great. Tried Jovani's pizza and my partner tried the risotto chicken mushroom. Both were very nice. They played music from the 80's which is pretty mush a reflection of their classic old school food. Highly recommended.

We regularly eat in. This place has good thin crust pizza. The prices for this area are very cheap. We love the red devil pizza. The risotto is good quality for a pizza place and the eat in drinks are extremely cheap.<br/> Well worth going in to eat. Know a few people that get take away and dont complain.

Great Pizza

If i could give less i would, the worst pizza i have ever had!! Only took 30 mins to deliver but would've rather wait abit longer as the crust was burnt, centre of pizza undercooked and the toppings on top were basically raw?? Not to mention not cheese at all!!!<br/><br/>And lucky last how it was delivered just shows that it was undercooked and basically in edible!

Amazing delicious food every single time whether it is in-store or via Uber Eats!! My favourites: Mexicana pizza, spaghetti bolognese and their chicken parmigiana (no cheese) with veggies. Bloody amazing! I could never have one bad comment.

Ordered home delivery and took nearly and hour on a Friday night. Pizza was average and the toppings were very stingy. They had a think layer of shredded ham (which just fell off when you lifted the piece) and then maybe 6 pieces of hot salami for a whole pizza. Not sure if they ran out of cheese or just were super busy but wasn’t a fan.

Great food, friendly service, and affordable prices. I won't image Ascot Vale without Jovani's.  Try their unique pizza crust with any of the popular pizzas, like Jovanis, Ramona, Chef's Special and be impressed. <br/>Keep the good work up!

Awful experience! A two hour wait for two pizzas is just too long! Not even an apology from staff or driver when delivered. There was no cheese on the pizza and it didn't feel like it was cooked, all the toppings tasted raw! I would give this place a miss. I can't think of anything that was good about it

Never ordering again. Bought a family size veg pizza. Only the base of the pizza was good. There was no sauce, minimal cheese, no seasoning. All you could taste were some boiled veggies. <br/><br/>Such a bad experience. Not recommended.

Nothing about the food I ordered tonight was good. I ordered pizza as well as pasta. Both pastas were lacking flavor. Both pizzas were dry and ordinary. Not made with love.

Jovanis pizza has been very good, but be warned, on busy nights they are not able to deliver promptly and are unreliable in providing estimates of how long it will be. On a saturday night an order at 7.15 and an expected wait of 45mins - 1 hour had still not arrived in 1.5 hours. When called back was told it would be another 30 minutes and had not been put in the oven yet. No apology. Dissatisfied.

Amazing food. Friendly people.. Pizza and Pasta is always yummy. The cannelloni is great! Delivery is also always promt. And the staff are helpful and friendly.

Incredible, authentic, delicious.. As a chef in one of Melbourne's best upper class pub/bistro/restaraunt venues, I know a fair bit about food. And Jovani's is the best pizza I have ever had. No questions asked. The service, friendly and welcoming, the prices are more than reasonable, and the taste of authentic, delicious pizza is second to none as far as I am concerned.

Greeted by friendly and smiling staff who appeared to be the owner. I had a warm hearty homemade risotto served in a big bowl. Have a home feeling dining in. The inside has a welcoming feel. The outside does not give justice to the feel inside. Pleased with the place :)

Would not Recommend. I could not recommend this pizza at all, the meat used is very cheap, processed meat, especially the ham. Was not enjoyable at all, very low quality. It reminded me of bad pizza from the USA, is similar to Domino's quality, some of these reviews on here cannot be accurate.

Everytime I been here I have never been disappointed with any meal! It's a little gem of a place and best pizzas in melbourne by far also very well priced and it's never to late for anything on his menu Sam never says no :) great place highly recommended

The food will be good some of the time and other times will be terrible. need more consistency! the staff there are terrrrible, rude, slack, not impressed. Jovani can be rude, short and sharp but a sweet side to him. anyway the atmosphere is good and i'll be coming back

It was the best of times... it was the Blurst of times.... Firstly I would like to say that across all of my lAN Night Experiences of ordering pizzas I have never had an experience quite like Giovnii's. ahhh what a fun filled adventure I am so glad that I i ordered from the one and only, my love my one my all Giovaniis Pizza... Upon ordering my four large pizzas and pasta I proceded to hang up the phone, as I went to hang up the phone before i had even put the phone back on the hook the doorbell rang. It was Giovanii he had my pizzas all ready and cooked. The pizza man greeted me and seemed so proud of his pizzas which he stated were Microwave Fresh... Upon opening the box I was presented with what looked like a painting I had made in Kindergarden ohhh the talent that went into preparing the pizza that guy deserved a mdeal in my books... The first bite was never to be forgotten imagine being taken to a place filled with milk and honey and happiness and then destroy it with a can of molded baked beans and asparagus ahh the blissfull sensations.... Next followed my good and dear friend Liam who suffered more than the crucifiction of jesus christ all coz of one person. Jiovanii... Lets get one thing right Sam is definately not the Man i spent my entire saturday night at my friends death bed aka at my friends side next to the toilet soo if you would like to expereince such sensations then let jiovaniis temptations take you so in closing Bona Petite PFFFFFFFFFT

Worse pizza I've ever had it was squashed cold and soggy by the time it finally arrived after 50 mins.

Best pizza in Melbourne. Chef's special is something else. Really cheap and Sam is the man. A must try if looking for a homey meal!!!

Easily some of the best pizza around. Its great! The sauce is amazing. The gelati is also fantastic. Go Jovanis!

Only 1 option 'very thin crust'. All pizzas in general are very average. If they didn't deliver alcohol we'd never order there at all. Honestly 5/10. Go somewhere els if you can.

Pizza has no crust topping is barely cooked we used to order from them all the time simply because they were the only local place that delivers alcohol as well as food, no more as our order has been incorrect inedible and missing garlic bread and drink. Upon this happening twice rude customer service and a pointless VIP number which does absolutely nothing I would recommend users go a bit further and find good food and good service, how hard can it be? Very difficult for jovanis

10/10 pizza.. Ok there is pizza and then there is jovani's pizza, <br/>At Jovani's they make the old school pizza, not that modern crap with 2 toppings and floured fluffy rim that cost $22.<br/>it's italian, it's awsome and it's time for me to go and get one...<br/> see you there...

Best pizza in the northern suburbs. Always consistent and a great price.

Pizza Perfection. Found myself working back late at the office, and was in need of a decent delivery. Ordered a couple of regular pizzas from Jovani's and was impressed by the quality of the piping hot Mexicana & Meat Lovers pizzas that arrived. The Risotto Scampi I ordered was average at best, although perhaps I was expecting the impossible attempting to order Risotto from a take away pizza shop. Rissoto aside, would have no hesitation re-ordering when in need of a quick & cheap pizza fix.

The best pizza in ascot vale/moonee ponds! Staff are always super friendly, delivery is often pretty quick.

Always a lasting favourite!!. Great pizza, pasta and lovely staff
