Excellent service!! My partner and I came for breakfast and the staff were so accommodating to my request to make their big breakfast vegan - they were very attentive to our needs and super friendly! Will definitely be back again
This place is the best if your on Union Road and are in the mood for a great coffee and a cheeky burger. Staff are awesome and always remember a regulars favourite dishes and how they like them made. Could not recommend this cosy place more highly especially if your a student in need of wifi and a much needed comfort food break.
Service wasnt the best. Took ages for coffee to come out they actually yelled out “soy flat white” then gave it to another table and they said it wasnt theirs so the waitress finally brought to our table. Blue heaven thickshake is real nice and sweet. New york cheese cake was nice and moist, heaps of flavour. Home made banana bread was lacking in flavour however it was nice and soft. My soy flat white tasted great.
Rueben Sandwich is excellent. Owners friendly. Great place for lunch or breakfast. Value for money. You won’t get a better Rueben in the North West.
I Had numerous coffee at this place, every time I visit mister nice guy for a vegan treat, I stop by this shop to have you cuppa! They have a really good dark medium roast coffee which blend perfectly with the soy milk! It's not bad for also as espresso.
A nice local cafe in a suburb that needs more trendy, contemporary style venues to attract those of a younger crowd. Espresso 155 has an older vibe to it given it has been around for a while (with a slight revamp of their menu having taken place in the meantime), but its double-spaced seating area impressively caters to the weekend brunch crowds or large groups/families. A delectable display of sweet treats (mixture of home made and imported in) entices customers at the front counter, with cronuts and muffins large enough to be considered a meal.
The food and drinks menu looks pretty standard to what you would expect on a Melbourne brunch cafe's menu, with some items uniquely 'signature' to Espresso 155, such as the 155 Pork & Egg (pulled pork, egg and a few other tidbits inside a burger, served with fries - deliciously addictive, but quite rich with the abundance of meat and the meat marinade), and the 155 Eggs (basic, but tasty nonetheless)... both of which we ordered, and enjoyed. If you have room, definitely go a cronut (or oversized muffin), for that sweet ending that needs to be satisfied!
Espresso 155 is a cafe in Ascot Vale and aside from pumping out good coffee every day they also have a lovely brunch menu and make some of their sweets in house. When we walked in the shop their homemade vanilla slice caught my eye and let me just say, it did not disappoint. Espresso 155 – Latte
Affordable cafe dishes! Just unfortunate that they aren’t as popular as they appear to be.
Great iced coffee 👌🏻
The BLT sandwich was perfect, however the beef burger was good but the patty was overly thick.
Staff were friendly but took awhile to be served and given menus.
Take your lover, friends and family here for great brunches.
A big double shopfront with a fairly spartan fitout.
Have purchased good take away coffees previously and been quite happy.
Decided on eating in for lunch. Good variety of dishes on the menu complimented by a few (semi - permanent?) specials.
Pleasntly surprised with the quality of the Reuben Sandwich accompanied with a side of really good chips.
Looking forward to another opportunity already.

We had a lovely meal here. The staff are welcoming and the dishes we ate were delicious.
We ordered the the potato and bacon hash waffles and the corn and zucchini fritters. Both were tasty, filling and well seasoned. We also tried their house made eclairs which was delicious!
The interior is very spacious - good for mums with prams. Thank you for having us!
I was excited to be invited to dine as a guest of Espresso155 to try their brunch offering and see what the new owners have done to the place.
We went there on a weekday around 10 am.
On first impressions, we were surprised by how spacious the venue was. The place looks simple with a lot of space between tables, some paintings on the walls from local artists that are for sales and the backyard has a herb garden and small veggie patch. It feels like a good space to receive a moms group or not feel too stuffy when full.
We first ordered a flat white and a cold brew. They pour the Lion Tamer blend from Reverence Coffee so I don’t think they can go wrong with such a full-bodied coffee. The cold drip was fresh and tasty, served with the right amount of ice and a straw – I didn’t use the straw. The flat white was good but could have been a bit stronger.
We tried the Granola ($15) from the menu and the potato & bacon hash waffle ($16.50) from the specials.
Both dishes were more than generous serves, full of flavours and a great value for their prices. We couldn’t finish our meals and ended being full until the evening – even had to skip lunch as we were still full.
The granola was a good paleo friendly meal. It was a healthy and flavoursome breakfast. You can tell that they care about sourcing quality ingredients.
The potato & bacon hash waffle was a very hearty meal – A lot of flavours and looked great. Unfortunately, it was a bit on the oily side but still a decent meal.
Very friendly staff and great spot to have a good and relaxing dining experience.
Melbourne Explorer was invited along by the team at Espresso 155 to try their brunch offering and great coffee.
We tried the corn and zucchini fritters ($16) and the famed 155 Eggs ($17), and we're not disappointed.
The fritters were served with a house made tirokafteri, smashed avo, salsa verde and salad, topped with a poached egg. And, the 155 Eggs with ricotta, mushrooms, tomatoes, pesto and avocado - a big brekkie on steroids.
Very friendly staff and great spot to escape the hustle.
A lovely little cafe serving up some delicious food and coffee. The stand out dish was the granola bowl absolutely fresh and so so pretty. Definitely worth a try if in the Ascot Vale area.
Visited last weekend and the coffee was awesome and brunch was delicious! The corn & zucchini fritters were amazing and the 155 eggs were also great. A lovely spot and the most gorgeous setting for an event out in the courtyard. Can't wait to go back!
I have visited espresso 155 a few times now and feel it's time to finally leave some feedback. I love this cafe it's slowly becoming my new favorite place to meet up with friends. First things first their coffee is amazing and even offer greek coffee which is a hard find this side of town.
There lots of seating options available in both sides of the double shop front. But my personal favourite place is out the back in the court yard, they have planted a lovely garden which is slowly coming along and shows how much care goes into everything and it really shows.
The food is always on point and i have worked my way through the menu and the specials board which is always changing and full of yummy options. Today I had their potato hash waffles, they were amazing crunchy, punchy and full of flavor. It was served with two perfectly poached eggs, gremolata (herby tangy salsa type sauce) chilli hollandaise and was perfectly complimented by some caramelized chorizo (crumbled chorizo as the chef reffered to it).
They also have a large but not overwhelming selection of cakes and pastries some made in house like their muffins, spanakopita, pasties and tarts. I do feel like there must be a bit of competition between the chefs when it comes to filling the pastry case as the selection always seems to be the much more interesting everytime I come in.
Over all this place is an absolute winner and they always out do themselves every time I visit. Massive thumbs up!!
Really lovely place with a great feel and lots of delicious options :) Very friendly, welcoming service and overall just an enjoyable place to be. I've got a lot to try but I can totally recommend the open souvlaki!
Under new management this place is surly becoming an institution of the Melbourne Culinary scene!!! Food is amazing. Fantastic location and staff are real friendly. Weekend ritual for sure!
Was walking around and looking for a cafe to have some brunch. I came across Espresso 155 and saw the menu on the window and there were so many options before even looking at the specials menu.
I ordered a long black coffee which was amazing and had a fantastic crema and it tasted amazing. The food was excellent I had the Smashed Avocado off the specials menu (forgot to take a photo as it looked amazing and I was starving).
Customer service was 5/5 and they made you feel welcomed and appreciated. They make you feel like family and as though you are not a bother at all.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Espresso 155, do yourself a favour and make sure you visit them soon.
First time coming to Espresso 155, Coffee was amazing and good food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great service, will definitely be back.

Great food and great coffee!! We came for breakfast for the first time since the new managers and we're very impressed! This cafe caters for gluten and dairy free options and most importantly the barrister makes great coffee! Such friendly service, get down here peeps and check it out! 👍🏼👌🏼
We've popped in for a coffee a few times, which is great, and finally sat down for breakfast this morning. The menu is great, has the classics along with a few interesting items. This along with the specials means there is something for everyone.
I really wanted bacon and eggs. Ordered with a side of spinach in gluten free bread I was not disappointed. Perfect eggs, delicious bacon and sautéed spinach and only $1 extra in gluten free bread. Next time though, I'm keen to try the breakfast salad!
Hubby ordered the breakfast pizza which was fresh, tasty and a great combination of flavours.
The specials look great and include blueberry and lemon cheesecake pancakes, breakfast crumble and even Welsh rabbit with poached eggs.
There is also a lunch menu and cookies and slices.
Staff are welcoming and they don't hurry you along.
Do yourself a favour and visit this spacious, friendly local cafe.
Great service, very welcoming and accommodating! Also child friendly, especially for younger kids. Coffee was good and food was yummy and served quickly. We will be back!
Very friendly staff!! Food is always to die for! Beautiful place, owner is very friendly and knows how to make a bloody good coffee what's always good!!
I love this place. It has a great atmosphere. Gary makes a fabulous coffee. I took my parents and we enjoyed the lamb salad and the veggie salad for lunch. Food was fresh and delicious. Can't wait to go back in summer time and enjoy the courtyard out the back. You won't be disappointed.
lovely family run cafe on union road with plenty of seating and a beautiful courtyard. the staff are very sweet and welcoming. food arrived on time and we did not feel rushed. we had the corn and zucchi fritters as well as the poached eggs with avocado. it was a TERRIFIC breakfast! very flavoursome food and well presented too. . coffee was pretty good! give the masala chai a try as well. will be sure to visit this cafe again :)
Union road is full of cafes and it's my mission is to try them all.
Today we checked out Espresso 155. Plenty of seating when we walked in for singles, couples and big groups. They also have courtyard seating available. Staff were welcoming and attentive.
Food was pretty basic. Not bad. Just not amazing. Doesn't need much to make it great though. Just missing that... kick.
Great new brunch place along Union rd. Really friendly staff and good, quick service. Food is good value for money with decent serving sizes. Super yum. Will definitely be back to try some of their sweeter options! (Cheesecake in the cabinet I'm looking at you...)
We stopped in to Espesso 155 last weekend after a gym class because they had a courtyard where we could cool down. The food was quick to come out, which suited our hungry tummies, was fresh and tasted delicious. We returned yesterday with some friends for coffee and were impressed with the variety of small bites also available. Great addition to Union Rd
Great place! Awesome almond crossaints and coffee is always consistently very good. Nice varied menu with specials that keep things interesting as a return customer.
Service attentive and warm, keeps me coming back.
Well Done to Maria and her staff at 155 coffee shop in ascot vale. I can honestly say the service was warm and very efficient. The coffee was perfect and food was amazing and hot. The Mr Big is big and I couldn’t even finish it. If I could give you 7 star’s I would. Well done again see you guys very soon

This is a great place! Perfect coffee- stong, not milky! Great food - I had avocado toast and my friend something with carrot. We both loved that place. And Kosta - the new Manager - so funny and down to earth guy!
Full story:
I don't live in that area and I was meeting my friend for a lunch that also doesn't know that suburb. I didn't know any places on Union Road so I googled coffee near me.
The rating wasn't great but the funny thing is... I work in marketing and I know how people blackmail business with "I will leave you a 1 star review if you don't give me this and that for free." or "Had to wait 30 min for my coffee." Where in reality it was 10 min but you were already late so someone needs to take the blame. So long story short - give this place a chance and see it for yourself 😜
Amazing coffee and friendly staff. Kosta made my coffee in record time and it was so busy. The chef definitely knows how to cook. I had the smashed Avo on toast, delicious! Will definitely come back. Highly recommended this cafe!
Visited espresso 155 for Sunday breakfast. Friendly staff, nice coffee. Spacious and cozy. If there's a little bit of jazz or bossa nova, it will be perfect. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, happy to recommend.
Amazing breakfast, service was great, friendly staff. Definitely coming back
