One of the first dine in experiences out of iso and it felt so great to experience the hospitality here. The restaurant was at its maximum limit while still having heaps of takeaway orders coming in and out. We ordered the lasagne and the special pizza, I loved the pizza- the toppings were just right and the base was nice and fluffy. The lasagne was really hearty- I just wish it was more cheesy

First time going to grande forno on saturday. OH my they were buzy. Adults, teens, children, kids all types of people all dining in this beautiful little hidden gem. Frank the owner was so genuine and funny loves too chat. We enjoyed it all service, food and atmosphere. Great to hear that you guys do delivery im defnatily going to be a regular. YOUR pizza is amazing, the right amount of topping. Love it. Thanks
I heard this place does great pizzas so my girlfriends and I came down to give them a shot, and we weren't disappointed it was beautiful, the ingredients were fresh the dough was crispy and cooked to perfection and the staff were friendly and cheerful. we will defiantly be back keep up the good work

my wife and I came here last night and the owner frank was very welcoming and very funny, we ordered the grande forno special and two pastas, it was incredible, I can't stress enough how beautiful the food was and the service. I defiantly recommend this place to who ever loves exceptional food.
Such an amazing experience!!! Just visited Grande Forno with my family....the food is to die for, my 6 year old son had Spaghetti Bolognese, he told the owner this is the best he's ever had!!...i shared the Salmon pizza & Grand Forno special pizza with my husband..excellent quality food...great customer service....we'll definitely be back...
First timer to this restaurant, impressive customer service with Frank greeted us and introduced him to us.
We had the Grande Forno special pizza and the pizza base was fantastic. The toppings are great combination. And we had the spaghetti carbonara - very decent size and cheesy to my liking. My boy who is such a picky eater finished it.
Parking might be a bit of a problem unless you dont mind parking at the woolies across the road.
Overall, it is a great place for dinner with family.
Hidden gem of an Italian restaurant close to home. Serves a really good wood-fired marinara pizza and spaghetti bolognese. The garlic bread is buttery and bursting with flavour. Beats the pizza chain stores anytime.
I just know this as Franks place. Pizzas are great, and the staff and owners are like family. Keep up the good work. A regular place for rears to come.

Very friendly staffmembers! Superdelicious food! Went there with the family of 7, one order was forgotten and didnt arrive until the rest had finished their meal. Lucky it was so yummy! Would definitely go back if I was in the area :)
We order from here at lease once a week, the gnocchi is an absolute treat, some of the best I've had in Australia, same goes for the avocado risotto, beautiful!!Food is always prompt and the customer service is exellent!

UNBEATABLE wood fired pizza. High quality ingredients with subtle seasoning on the base. Fairly thin base. Toppings go right to the edge for a thin crust. I love how the bottom of my pizza is normally bone dry to touch and not soaked through with oil. The cheese is perfect too, tasty but not leaving oil. I feel like I could eat one of these every night because it's super tasty but doesn't feel heavy to eat. Very reasonably priced too, even compared to the commercial rubbish. Looks like a family business with GREAT pride and service! I come from Dandenong just to grab my favourite pizza here take-away, so hopefully that says something.
Pizza was well-made and the gourmet toppings are of good quality. was also happy to pay that price for gourmet. The tortellini pollo/funghi was the only disappointment, as it was tasteless, bland, and not very generous with chicken and mushroom. I would probably get pizza from there if I was in the area.
Terrific pizzas. Great family run business - they are always very friendly. Been going there since 2001, and will continue doing so! The kids also love their food, so it's a no brainer.
I had avert nice dinner. Steak was cooked just right, every thing came on time. Frank(the owner) and Staff were very polite and friendly.

Excellent Customer Service!. Amazing customer service from start to finish. The food was fairly tasty too and well priced! Had a lot of different pastas/pizzas/risottos to chose from and the staff are so accomodating..
Even gave us complimentary drinks :)

Very welcoming and great food. This is one of our favourite restaurants. We enjoy Frank's company as offen as we can. He always goes out of his way to make sure we are happy with our selection and the food is always great. Our favourites are Spaghetti marinara, garlic pizza, whole fish special and of course the chicken parma. The servings are always very generous. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great, local all-rounder. I took Rachie to Grand Forno for dinner last week, and we discovered a real gem of a restaurant. It has a nice ambiance, a decent-sized menu, and an owner who cruises the tables himself, checking to see if everyone is having a good time.
We ordered the canneloni, and two pizzas - seafood and pesto. They were delicious. Add to the mix a nice bottle of wine - and you've got a surefire winner.
I can't rate Grand Forno, its staff, or the food, highly enough.
Good pizza, good price. Our regular pizza place: consistently good quality, tasty wood fire pizza. Staff are warm and friendly too.

It's not very often I hear my wife say out loud "superb"! But this place is busy but you feel welcome, the pizzas and the deserts were fabulous. The service and atmosphere were great. Was here with 2 kids both less than 2 yrs old and we will be back again, the staff included the bubs in the experience. Corkage was also minimal I thought . One place not too miss.

Some of the best pizzas you'll eat anywhere around. Most of the time these woodfired pizzas are reliably good and they use fresh real ham, not the manufactured stuff you get most places. You might pay a little bit more than going to the outer suburbs but well worth it.
I've been going to fornos since 2001, the food is as good then as it is now, perfect pizza, great pasta, a relaxed place that outshine half of lygon street, service is great, owners and long term staff very friendly, highly recommend this place to anyone in the local area or just passing through
Been 3 times now and I like it. As everyone said, the staff are great and frank will shake your hand like your family. I havnt been Blown away by tge food but it Classic italian, you know what to expect. You wont leave hungry! Goats cheese pizza is my pick!

The pizzas are consistently good, takeaway or dine-in. Great value too. Goats cheese and picante are my favorite two. Ask for the special chilli if you like to spice up your food.
This local institution of fantastic wood fired pizzas has been forefront of mind for the more discerning locals for years. Its due to terrific and welcoming service by Frank and the staff and an excellent menu. One tip though, don't stray from the path in my humble opinion - it is an Italian restaurant!
