We visited Two Seeds yesterday as holders of the Entertainment Book Voucher. We decided we would catch public transport from Brighton East and we're certainly glad we did.
The food was delicious. We both chose something off breakfast menu. I had the Smashed Avacado with Dukkah and Poached Eggs which was fabulous. My husband chose the Japanese Okonomiyaki (Pancake)with Poached Eggs and he was delighted with the flavor. We would love to return at some time and would recommend it to our friends
I zip past Two Seeds almost every morning on the way to work! The coffee is always on point, Its the only place I can get an XLarge size and I love the addition of the little biscuit which I always look forward to. Thanks Two Seeds :)

Had the beef burger. Full of flavour with subtle sweetness of beetroot. Will be regular lunch spot when in the area! Oh and the coffee was great too...
Great little cafe with a nice vibe. We ordered the fruit toast which was nice but a bit on the hard side. The chicken schnitzel burger was ok because it didn’t say on the menu that it comes in a brioche bun which was a letdown for me as I’m not a fan of sweet bun with savoury. It would have been good to have given an option of different bun. The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious! Overall a great find 👍🏼
As many review has mentioned, this cafe serves good coffee and the staff was lovely too. My partner and I ordered one big brekky and a egg omelette with red onion, mushroom and cheese. As the name suggested, the omelette did has a looootttt of cheese but it was yummy, as well as the sourdough, they were perfect. My partner’s big brekky was seriously big (with a big steak ) and everything was cooked perfectly. The price was very reasonable for the quality and serve size of the food. Will definitely come back again.
Absolutely love this place for a quick coffee before work! Kind staff and a good choice of plant based Milk Lab milks! They’re always very quick and there’s never a long wait for my morning coffee anymore.
Virtually stumbled across this place because two other cafes had decided to close early for the day (btw if you have a cafe in Melbourne and it's open during winter, chances are it may be a miserable day, but don't close earlier than advertised because that's really frustrating and rude 😣).
Firstly, great great coffee 👌 even the second cup was good.
Had a vegetarian breakfast which was delicious. Lovely and soft poached eggs. Could have done with an alternate to the Turkish bread. A nice thick slice of something else would have been much better.
Also had corn fritters which were equally yummy. Included a side of hash brown (yuck) and chicken ham because they had no bacon 😝 this was unnecessary and spoilt the dish.
Otherwise great experience and will go back 👍
Its a good day to have breakfast at new cafe. Finally i got to try this delightful cafe. The environment and the ambience was very calm and the staff was so kind and friendly to me.

benedict. Both food was so delicious!i really recommend the benedict, even though the portion is quite small. The salad was fresh and the chicken is grilled perfectly!both dish really amazed me!

Two seeds blew all expectations! Came here on a quiet lunch time period and was blown away by the amazing service! I had the vegetable stack with halloumi and was amazed! The coffee was great and everything was priced so well. Definitely will be coming back again
This cafe serves up consistently good coffee, food and friendly service. I like that they vary their menu and offer interesting dishes.
I had the dukkah spiced smashed avo today. Dish was refreshing, lightly seasoned with dukkah so it wasn't overpowering and nicely presented. Only negative was that the poached eggs were almost well done.
Friendly staff and fast service. I had chicken salad, chai latte and my husband had beef bacon burger. I am very happy with my Authentic chai latte and my salad was very nice with perfectly cooked chicken. My husband said that burger was best he had long time.
Pleasant and prompt service, charming and thoughtful decor, great coffee, excellent scrambled eggs with sweet and flavourful roasted tomatoes. Highly recommended
LIT: I had the fritter with eggs and a soy chai latte. This place is jam packed and customer service did not look like they were rushing and everything was in control. The food was enjoyable as well.
NOT SO LIT: the serving size could be a little bigger. Although I felt satisfied, I know some people who eat a lot more than I can.
Cafe was relatively busy when we arrived, waiter got us a seat pretty much straight away.

Came for brunch and coffees after picking up something from my tailor around the corner. Was the first cafe we came across. We were greeted straight away after having walked in.. Service was super friendly, and coffees were really good. Menu is small but have a nice selection of breakfast and lunch options. I had the poached eggs on toast and added mushrooms and wilted spinach. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the sides were pretty good too. My partner had the dukkah smashed avocado. He loved the combination of herbs and spices and the sourdough toast was so fresh and full of seeds. A real winner.

Ordered a banana muffin and coffee combo. Very satisfied. Muffin came warm, and had a soft and fluffy texture with a delightful banana aroma and taste. Skinny latte was well presented and had the correct temperature and taste. Great seating areas for having coffee and reading the paper.
A pleasant and charming café in Ashburton. It has a split level dining area, with quaint old painted wooden kitchen chairs, and laminated tables up top. The décor features a predominantly white colour scheme, and there are wall ornaments (including decorative plates fixed to the wall), and a small “Two seeds” mural. There are a few kerbside tables for outside dining. I elected to just have coffee and cake on this visit – both were nice, the coffee made well. I did note their menu was reasonably interesting and included some vegetarian choices. The service was friendly, and I was attended to promptly and offered a menu. Water was available on every table without having to ask. A nice relaxed atmosphere, with some light popular music playing gently in the background. It’s perhaps not a hip venue, but a pleasant one.
Coffee and tea was great . I like the milk served warm to go with the tea , which is a big plus for me especially it's a bit chill today . French toast looked simple but taste awesome ! We also had a red sauce linguini on the special menu and it tasted pretty awesome too . Friendly staffs , Cozy cafe .

The reason i gave 4.5 is just because we waited around 40 mins to get our breakky on table, but boy what an amazing big brealky it was. After i saw they advertised they r hiring and realised that was the reason for delay so all good :)
First timers to this lovely place. Jay is a really friendly and smiling person. Very good vibes around us. We had only coffee, which was great. The food looks lovely too.
Great atmosphere! The cafe is structured beautifully and have adorable seating. The service was attentive and super helpful. Ordered the corn fritters and the big breaky. Good portion sizes. The fritters were nicely spiced and the hash browns were so soft and fluffy. Highly recommend!

One of the few early bird cafés around the area, 6am saw a STEADY STREAM of ZOMBIES coming in for their caffeine hit, JS Bach would have been queuing from 4am Lol.
Today, this Whippeteer was FIRST (except for the guy who pushed in, YOU HAVE A GOOD DAY NOW, YA'HEAR).
The venue is WHITE, subdued, calm, a little classy, the barista wears a trendy hat. We loved it.
They encourage you to tell them how you like your coffee made up. So we did. "TAKE YOUR TIME, we LIKE THE MILK NICE AND VELVETY" is what we said.
How was? SPLENDID. Velvety. Strong. Not burnt, not bitter.
Ps we driven past SO MANY TIMES and never seen. But now we know? It's one place we'll REMEMBER.

I've taken quite a fancy to High Street, Ashburton. It's a lovely mix of cafes, lifestyle shops and food stores with a friendly, unpretentious neighbourhood vibe. Two Seeds is one of the more newer cafes that have set up shop. We went there for Mr Strong's birthday and just loved the food that was served. It's cafe-style food with a semi Asian-fusion twist to it. The result is just simply delicious grub! Located along a busy street, Two Seeds is definitely the hidden gem of Ashburton. It doesn’t look like much at all from the exterior, but as soon as you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming and cosy. The food does tend to lean towards the healthier side of life, lots of different salads and all. However, the food items were got were good quality and reasonably priced. Would recommend if in the area.
The entertainment book actually led me here for brunch. Loved the vibe of the cafe, as soon as we walked in we were greeted by few of the smiling staff. I ordered the brioche french toast with maple syrup bacon and hubby had the corn fritters. We were both very happy with our dishes and will definitely be back again to try other items on the menu.
Lovely inviting cafe in the busy High St strip. I went in to shelter from a down pour. Was greeted and shown to a table. Offered water and menu promptly. I ordered a coffee. The ambience was cheery and pleasant. I will return as the menu looked interesting.
My partner and I went here with my parents yesterday. We always stop into a cafe for brunch when we do our grocery shopping in Ashburton and we thought we'd check out Two Seeds (we also had an entertainment book voucher for it). The decor and set up inside is just beautiful, food was great, I ordered the corn fritters and couldn't fault it at all. Minor issue, both mine and my partners coffees tasted burnt/really bitter so we asked for replacements and upon paying we were advised the coffees were complimentary. I was so impressed with that! Such good service. Would definitely return here!
We are regulars to Two Seeds and love their breakfast menu and willingness to add or change anything we like. It's not on the menu but I add the fried haloumi from the fritters to my poached eggs - delicious with their amazing slow cooked tomatoes. Very family friendly, will always make room for us and cooked a baby friendly scrambled egg on another occasion. Lunch menu is also fantastic with a Vietnamese/Asian influence - highly recommend their lunch specials or the chicken salad.
Not your typical hipster cafe, possibly better! Coffee beans were standard, but the execution was perfectly according to what a long mac is meant to be. They weren't being lazy by just dosing a shot of espresso with some fluff on top, I could actually see the two separate layers in my glass cup. The food we had was delicious, fresh, and well presented. They make their own sauces and preserves in house, and that's what makes this place stand out. A chili chutney that was a perfect sweet sour and hot accompaniment to the fried haloumi, whilst my brother had French toast drizzled with pure maple syrup and a vanilla bean fruit chutney that made a usually average meal into an experience.
Highly recommend for a big breakfast on a Sunday. There's outside seating and a nice homely atmosphere.
There's gluten free options as well, however the bread is a bit tough. Everything else is delicious though.
Yummy corn fritters, easy on the wallet, too... Coffee is good, as well as the service. Had sweet muffin (strawberry & dark chocolate), which could be a tiny bit fluffier & light... The kid's french toast looks cute with the gingerbread man cut drizzled with maple syrup & plenty of icing sugar, unfortunately the toast was so wet & soggy on the inside even though it was toasted perfectly on the outside... Overall not bad...3/5.
Has allot going for it. Food and coffee is second to none. Waiting time is very lacking. But if you are willing to wait for service a little while you will not be disappointed. Has room for improvement to finish it as a 10/10.
I had been meaning to try this place for a while and now regret I didn't do so months ago. Their granola breakfast with poached pear, fresh (locally sourced) fruit and vanilla something-to-die-for is Very Very Good. The service is friendly, but they are happy to leave you to eat in peace. The music and aircon were adjusted throughout my stay to keep things comfy. I will be coming back.

A popular breakfast spot on High Street, Two Seeds was packed when we arrived on a Sunday morning. Having not made a booking, we were initially seated on a bench at the front of the cafe. However, we were promptly accommodated and shown to a table when one became available after about five minutes.
I ordered the corn fritters. These were really tasty, and my poached eggs were cooked exactly to my liking. The only minus was that the fritters were on the soggy side.
Coffee was great, and overall it was a satisfying meal. Service is also extremely friendly and attentive.

I decided to have something from their daily specials: ‘Lasagne bolognaise with béchamel served with mashed potato ($13.90)’. The steaming hot lasagne arrived on top of the mashed potato.
You make the most consistent & smooth coffee! Well done to the Barista Team! The Moroccan chicken on the Specials board is delicious. Never been a big fan of cous cous but you've done it well...it's a delicious & healthy meal! Also highly recommend the Pea & (chunky) Ham soup which I had yesterday. If you're not a fan of P & H soup like me, you won't regret this!

Flying to and from Sydney I have really missed the soulful, trendy and quality cafes that Melbourne has to offer. Staff are soooo lovely!!! Typical of the demographic in this suburb - really pleasant experience. I remembered this place so much for its balance between simple, comfortable quality breakfast options and earthy modern ambience. Coffee was good, poached eggs and spinach hit the spot as a breakky lover. Perfect for a chilled catch up with close friends. Love that the breakky menu has now expanded!!
Hard to find fault with this place. Great food, friendly staff, quirky decor and inviting set-up. Oh, did I mention the food is delicious!? Recommend going for the specials (I salivate upon reminiscing about the laksa I ate there - better than Laksa King. Just sayin'). You also can't go wrong with their steak sandwich (or probably anything else on the menu for that matter). Kudos to the chefs and crew! I don't particularly live near the vicinity but it's well worth a visit (or tenfold).
Love this place. I use Two Seeds for client catering in the area. I call the day before and the food is always ready on time. My clients love their amazing sandwiches and they are always so fresh. The staff are always wonderful and polite. Couldn't recommend two seeds enough. Well done!

Nice coffee. Good coffee with nice friendly staff. Haven't eaten here as I much prefer The Resident cafe for food. Promise, one day to try the food. The service is a tad on the slow side, but I suspect it's just the lack of staff.

Such an under-rated Cafe. Had an office job transfer to Ashburton for work today and found this little beauty of a cafe for breakfast. I live in CBD and I don't usually venture out for cafes over the CBD radius. But my first impression of Two Seeds as I walked in is calm-positiveness. The staffs had such a great attitude alongside the smiles that I swear made me feel like I'm their regular customer. It surprised me that I got served by the barista with a glass of water and the menu as soon as I sat down. Bearing in mind, as I remembered there was two staffs on and one was serving other table.
I'm usually picky with my standards, especially with coffees. The eggs benedict that I ordered came out with decent timing and it's magnificent, eggs are nicely poached and what got me is the homemade hollandaise sauce. Also ordered triple shot large cap with no choc top and it came out exactly what I ordered. Coffee extraction was perfect, not too watery nor the opposite and the male barista did a very sleek tulips pattern.
Worth the try. I would rate the food and especially their coffees over the ones in the city/south melb. I'll definitely be coming in every morning for my brekky and coffees before work.
I luv the Two Seeds' Big Brekky !!!. I absolutely luv the Big Brekky at Two Seeds. I always finish everything on the plate, it's that good. The mushrooms are the tastiest ever. The potato shaped hash brown is crunchy on the outside and succulent on the inside. The chorizo sausage sizzles my taste buds. The bacon, tomato and spinach are cooked to perfection. Eggs cooked anyway you like them, I like mine poached. I enjoy my big breakfast with some hollandaise sauce on the side and a Latte ordered in a mug. I sent my compliments to the chef, because I was so impressed. I give Two Seeds' Big Brekky 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The soups at this place are sublime! Honestly I know you'd think soup is soup but the chef here has a gift. Give it a try before the weather warms up too much.

Excellent Sunday brunch. Excellent coffee and great food. My quinoa and avocado spread with rocket, tomato and feta was sensational. Service was of a high standard and very friendly.
Great food. We had breaky Monday we turned up and shop was full, found us a table within two minutes had coffee within five, breaky didn't take much longer and the food was amazing. Will definitely return.

Consistently good coffee. The coffee here is consistently good. Staff always very friendly and helpful. Dogs like having fresh water outside, and what I have had on the lunch menu has always been first class, from Caesar Salad, to the artichoke, goats cheese, rocket etc. pide (toasted). This has been my regular in the Ashbuton Shopping strip for a while now, due to the consistently excellent coffee.
I'll be back. Recently moved to Ashburton. Had breakfast at two seeds today, great big breakfast, great coffee, friendly staff. Will definitely be back.
We love Two Seeds!. Hubby and I come here for coffee most Saturday mornings and whenever else we can get there. Chris makes great coffee and the service is always exceptional. They also do yummy friands and muffins! Awesome spot :)
Best Mocha in THE WORLD!. Not only does Chris make the best Mocha I have ever had, I just tried their tomato, basil, feta & quinoa salad & it is to die for!! Keep up the excellent work :)

Busy little cafe. great sized portion breakfast. can pretty much make your own breakfast up. Quite noisy when full.

Eggs Benny. Had eggs Benny recently, requested a change - bacon instead of ham - turkish bread/toast - not a problem
The hollandaise is to die for...not out of a packet like some but made from scratch - way to go.
Coffee a hit as well. This place is getting their groove back after a change in ownership.
Place looks fantastic - bright, light, and friendly.

Although I have had s couple of ordinary experiences since the takeover I believe they are just teething problems... Watch two seeds grow... Good luck guys

Unimpressed. So Two Seeds has new owners and therefore new management. I dined there this week and was very unimpressed. I was told I had ordered by a staff member and was left alone...however I hadn't ordered and after numerous attempts at trying to get her attention I had to get up from the table I was seated at to actually order. By the time I had done this the table I was sitting at was now occupied and they were reading the paper I had brought in myself! I waited nearly 20 minutes for my coffee ( there were maybe 8 other diners in) which was still of a good standard but unacceptable. Imagine if I was on my way to work? My meal was nice - I tried to order a second coffee but gave up.... Whilst the food and coffee were still of a good standard the service sucked. I hope it is just teething problems. Pick you service up or you will loose me as a customer. There are plenty of other cafes in Ashburton.

Fricken wicked coffee. The best coffee in ashburton, food good, staff fantastic.
Welcoming and relaxing cafe with a great variety of yummy meals available.
Good strong coffee, definitely not bland milkshake unlike some places, rhubarb and white chocolate muffin was a bit light on the rhubarb but still very nice and elegant decor simple yet sophisticated. I might make this my regular coffee shop!
This is a nice cafe on Ashburton High Street. The coffee is good and there is a reasonable choice of food. There were various savoury tarts on offer - the fact they were frozen does diminish their appeal somewhat. I settled on the Pumpkin and Feta Tart. It was tasty but not hot in the middle. So overall 4 stars is a fair reflection.
Everything was delicious!! Would definitely go back - service was also exceptional and they didn't have an issue splitting the bill for us (which is a welcome change on a Sunday in Melbourne). Loved it!

Not sure if they've always got this deal, but I got the small coffee + muffin for $7.50 combo.
The small coffee sizing is very generous. The muffin (I got the raspberry muffin with white chocolate top) was Big and better: Good. Very fresh. Moist but fluffy but the right density.
I dunno, man. They got me vibing.
And the staff were super friendly and nice too! Great customer service.
OH! And I got a mini shortbread with my flat white!
