Review Lickt Gelato & Dessert Bar - Ashburton

Nice gelato and brownie shop. Not the best ice cream I have had, but certainly nice. They are price roughly the same as Mesina But although nice, not in Mesina's league.

Last time I come here… just treated myself and my son to a gelato ice cream- $11.50 later we end yo with what looked like two baby cones wi the barely 2 tablespoons of ice cream. The portions used to be 4 times bigger. So disappointed, that I’m writing to us before I even leave. I even came in thinking I could get brownies, but half of them look stale and dry, and it reminded me that last time we got them, that 4 out of 6 brownies were stale. Used to be fab, but now the cakes are stale, and the indoor dining areas is even used as a storage area for food containers and ice cream cones. Yuck.

An amazing location for lovers of things sweet and delicious. The ice cream was smooth creamy and all the flavours had their own unique aspect that made each a delight to try. Pricing is great and the interior of the shop is clean and very presentable. Awesome customer service with a smile. The brownies are also incredible each well worth the price. If you're looking for a lovely treat or great after meal dessert. This is definitely the place to go.

Discovered this hidden gem on Google today and it was amazing! We got the brownie 6 pack and must the original and non-chocolate brownies were delicious. The service was outstanding and we felt really welcomed. Moreover, all the brownies are made in-house which increases trust in what you are eating. Cons- Not open before 12pm, would love to grab a coffee and brownie if it was to open early morning. We found the chocolate brownies a bit to sugary for our liking. Recommendations- Go for the original brownie Will definitely visit again to try the Gelato.

Delicious gelato and desserts. The staff have excellent suggestions for flavour combinations. Our favourites include the creme brulee and espresso thickshake, the mint chocolate, rum raisin, and ferrero gelatos, the toblerone cheesecake (cake) and the blackforest cake. They also have a wide selection of yummy brownies, and you can buy full sized cakes as well as individual portions.

I’ve really been delving deep into the ice cream game as of recently. Banana has been a top priority of mine. Look we all love Messina but honestly Lickt outplayed them. They weren’t trying too hard but still being super creative. The banana crumble was the don perignon, it tickled my taste buds on every level. Special gratitude to the mars bar slice because that was also the ducks onions. I’ll be making a pit stop here this weekend to gather a litre tub for a dinner party.

Had brought a large cake, didn't know it was an ice cream cake, go into the fridge to have a slice only to find it's totally melted, rang the owner next day at shop shop owner was sympathetic to what happened as this the cake was not properly explained that it was ice ice cream cake was fully refunded, and I as a customer was most grateful to his understanding and give it by stars

Gelato was overtly sweet, I'm really shocked how this place has such good ratings. There is much better ice cream out there people!

The coffee, cakes, service all of aspects are excellent...my favourite place for having coffee and dessert so far in Melbourne

The service, cuisine and atmosphere is wonderful for such a cozy boutique place. Have thoroughly enjoyed every delicious meal or meze. Great spot that you can just drop in and grab a cake or some biscuits on your way through as well. <3

The latte was the best, not too strong. The place is relaxing even on the busy road.

Great food and friendly service. Have been here many times with our visitors from overseas. Great desserts too. The kids wil love the ice cream and the adults will enjoy the coffee and cakes.

Omg guys so another favourite dessert of mine are brownies. My brother who is a chef used to make brownies all the time when we all lived at home and I used to finish the tray in two days😂<br/><br/>SOOOOO today I visited @lickt to get my brownie and gelato fix and OMFG WOW! <br/><br/>Not only do they do incredible gelato but they also killer brownies with 16 amazing flavours to choose from and whats even better you can make a box of 6 up for only $18! Such good value!!<br/><br/>We tried the snickers, cookie dough, cookies and cream, creme brulee, lemon meringue and the apple crumble. <br/>We also had a loaded smores with chocolate gelato and a loaded nutella with salted caramel gelato! <br/>My favourites would defs have to be the apple crumble, smores, snickers and nutella but they were all so good!! If you have a sweet tooth like me then you need to check this place out😍

Ordered via food delivery app and the cake I had selected was out of stock, however I received a call from the lovely owner Paul who offered me a large range of alternatives. Cake we ended up choosing was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend! Lovely cakes & staff.

Ordered Bombe Alaska in larger size... did not disappoint! It was huge! Owner even came to open shop 3 hours earlier so we could collect it at suitable time.

Came here after dinner and owner was very accommodating. Nice dairy free and dairy ice cream and a huge choice of other sweets. Would visit again!

I really loved the gelato here at Lickt.<br/><br/>The interior is super retro, with the massive Lickt sign & the blue decor.<br/><br/>All of the flavours are delicious! The creaminess of the gelato comes from the special churning machines which differentiates this gelato from a lot of other gelato places in Melbourne. The atomic espresso & snickers combination was so good.<br/>Atomic espresso: Great creaminess & not too much coffee<br/>Snickers: Lovely peanut butter flavour & also get notes of chocolate!<br/><br/>The owner is really kind. He’s more than happy to let you try as many flavours as you want before you buy something!<br/><br/>The next time I come here, I’ll be trying their new brownies for sure!<br/>

Best owner! So friendly, the brownies are so addictive, had to go back twice to the store, maybe even a third time HAHAHA also gelato the mango flavour is so good! Cannot wait to eat the whole store down

These brownies are AMAZING! So many amazing flavours to choose from and each of them are so delicious ! My favourite was definitely the Cookie Monster and bounty- <br/>They are just filled so full with the fillings and super enjoyable !! <br/><br/>Will defs be back to try the iceCream

Smooth, creamy gelato with a wide range of flavours. They have all the gelato churners out for display. Flavours were delicious and prominent. They also have a range wide of brownies and cakes on offer, even bombe alaska. They just released a range of brownies and they are delish. Soft chewy and not overly sweet.

Great place for some late night gelato and dessert - interesting flavours (we got bubblegum, creme brûlée & raffaelo) and excellent customer service!

Probably the best icecream I've ever had! Creamy, rich and full of flavour! I had cream brulee and salted caramel. You can sample flavours before buying. Worth every penny.

Super dooper sundae! Yummy! Super smooth delicious gelato, friendly staff, nice coffee, beautiful cakes... what is not to like! I easily give this place 10/10<br/>My daughter says it’s the best gelato she’s tasted. Even better than her mamas....

Been waiting for this to open for ages. It opened last week (end of Feb). Unsure why you would open at the end of summer. I just hope it lasts because the Gelati is superb!!!<br/><br/>I had chocolate (which was so rich and smooth) children had Raspberry, lychee and salted caramel. <br/><br/>We’ll be coming back again for sure. <br/><br/>It’s worth stopping, maybe after you have dinner at KFC ;-)

Yum! Post date night dessert at Lickt- we tried the creme brûlée, noisette, pistachio & salted caramel. Creme brulee was the stand out for us. Despite it being busy, the staff were friendly and happy to offer tastes of the ice cream before purchase.

Best gelato in the area. Well worth the visit. Great vibe and really nice staff. Will definitely be coming back in a regular basis. Welcome inclusion to the neighborhood.

Awesome new gelato/dessert shop which is much needed in this neighbourhood. There's really something special about the rich creamy texture of the gelato that is being served here. They have the gelato churned right in front of your very eyes, and a wide selection of flavours. My 3 boys loved the bubblegum flavour very much. Definitely make a stop here for a refreshing cup/cone of gelato before summer is over!
