Review Noodle By Noodle - Ashburton

I would love to say that this is a great noodle shop, sadly it’s lacking as far as quality noodles go. The service is always friendly but they bumped up their prices and dropped the serving size... I have ordered from them quite a few times over the years and have found even if you pay for extra veggies the amount of vegetables is not great. It’s mainly filled with noodles and little of anything else. Such a a shame as this place has so much potential as it’s the only local noodle shop.

Not as good in comparison to other noodle bars, the staff are friendly but i feel like they're trying to cut costs in too many areas which have significantly diminished the quality of the food.

The food is really appetizing and they have big serving as well. It is not too salty unlike in other asian resto where I've been. Indeed, great value for money. *thumbs up*

Worse seafood curry laksa I’ve ever had. It had lots of pork and chicken and only a few slices of fish cake and calamari. Flavorless and watery. Would not recommend to anyone.

Food was not very good. The pricing was cheap, I should have known that nothing good comes at that price. I'd much rather pay 2-3$ more for better quality food.

Website said they were open and was willing to accept my order. Arrived to pick up the order and it was closed. Very disappointed in the lack of communication.

I ordered two dishes. A curry laksa and a honey pepper chicken. Having seafood allergies, the lady do extra care for me. The food is delicious and the lady is lovely.

After reading the reviews, I opted for the char kway teow minus prawns. It had a nice flavour and a pleasing amount of vegetables. I would eat a vegetarian version again but not with pork.

Have been getting my noodles here for years! Vegan Char Kuai Teo here is one of the best I've had anywhere - and I've tried ALOT! Staff are very accommodating to the various dietary needs I and my friends have had.

We’ve ordered from this outlet for years. Perhaps new management have come in but suddenly it’s not so good and why have the cardboard containers been swapped for average plastic take away containers? Likely because less fits in these plastic ones. I used to get 2 meals out of one order. Not any more. Not to mention the environmental issues. How sad these things change. Looking elsewhere.

I ordered noodles for lunch and was very dissapointed with what I got. Noodles were overcooked, tasteless and everything was literally floating in oil. In fact, all I could taste was vegetable oil. The beef was dry, chewy and I got like 3 little pieces of it. I had to discard half of it, and If there's anything I hate in this world, that would be wasting food.

Don't normally like these Noodle houses, but this one changed my opinion. Very clean and the food was very nice. Sticking to the trusty favourite of Char kway toew. I'll be back

House made dumpling are amazing here! Having craving for Asian dishes at the moment has me hunting out these great little noodle places. Definitely worth a visit.

The lady that owns this business is just amazing! She cooks every meal for you exactly to your liking every time and it is always extremely tasty! Remembers your order and always has service with a smile. Cannot beat that - a very regular eating place for us
(Special fried rice order who are fussy haha) thankyou!!

Casual cheap noodles. More or less what you expect. Good range of noodle dishes and generous servings, especially for the price. Eat or takeaway both are good options.

Simple but effective. Not a place to go for a fancy dinner, but the noodles are fantastic and it's a great takeaway place. The owner (I presume) is quite friendly as well, but other staff seem not particular thrilled to be there.
A small family business for those who have a craving for some great noodles.

A watery & bland Laksa, I just won't bother ever again...

Worst noodle experience. Bought 2 dishes last night for dinner. Both were swimming oil and barely edible. I persevered and suffered the consequence all night. There was something in those dishes that did not agree with me. I couldn’t sleep for my racing mind as well as the horrendous and impossible quest to quench my thirst. Refilled my 750ml pump bottle 5 times (so drank 4.5 bottles = 3.4 litres). Could that be MSG....?

Great tasting noodles (satay chicken is my personal favourite). They're cheap, have generous portions and are super speedy. Perfect for Friday night takeaway!

Will never eat there again after they said they don't cook with MSG and I became really ill due to the MSG in their food..told them I have a severe allergy to MSG..

I have just had the worst noodle experience thus far in my life.
I ordered 1 electric box which was swimming in a chilling sauce - sauce was nice but I couldn't taste any if the other ingredients, I paid $11.00 for sauce
The 2nd dish I ordered a special fried rice with chicken - this meal was unedible. The rice was mushy, soaked oil and didnt seemed to be fried at all and not a morsel of chicken to be seen - this tasted like cold oil.
3rd meal was a very dry Singapore noodle and very tasteless.
This unusual as their dishes are normally on the money.
I can't get the taste of oil out of my mouth so I will not be going back.
