Cheap place to have wonton noodles, the place looks old and unrefined. But don't judge a book by its cover, this restaurant has nice food. The wonton soup was clear, it wasn't too salty and it was clear. The dumplings in the wonton was the best part if the meal. It was really good, would go back for the wonton. The place is very affordable, ranging from $1.80 to +$15 depending on what you get, but I spend less than 20 for dumplings and the noodle soup.
What an absolute gem! My partner and I found this place by accident whilst looking for a quick snack in Ashfield. Their delicious noodle soup dishes are less than $10, their big super soft buns under $2, congee for another few dollars... this is the best bang for your buck Chinese breakfast you can ever get! Pretty sure I will eat there weekly now.. FYI There is no eftpos, cash only.
Found vegan options here: vegan veggie steamed buns and red bean steamed bun great price and quite cozy atmosphere here. Very close to the station, the service is always sweet and friendly. Would recommend for a quick bite.
It's the best Chinese breakfast in Sydney you can have.what I mean is breakfast at 7am...not the ones after 10.They offer lots of good traditional deserts like bean curd soup and fried dough stick with pancake and source ...one of my favourite place. The average cost pp is 10...

The humble Formica table restaurant is a rare breed in Sydney these days, but some fine specimens are still around, like Yummy Nest in Ashfield. There's a change of guard happening in Ashfield. Besides the multitude of places with 'Shanghai' in the name, the building of new large scale apartment blocks is set to change the feel of Liverpool Road. There will be a load of new places opening in the next few years when these are finished. The restaurants are starting to get a little flasher but some old school goodness persists. Yummy Nest was New Taste Dim Sim not so long ago, we're pleased it stayed low key.
Vegan options here!!! Great price and peaceful atmosphere. Close to the station, service is always friendly. Would recommend for all.
Gorgeous food, great customer service. Only place to go for true Chinese breakfast in Ashfield. If they opened at 6am people would travel. Otherwise Superbowl in Chinatown is the only other option. I highly recommend.
Not much vegan choice, but was cheap and tasty. Lovely staff, cash only and they were chill for me to leave to find an atm after I’d finished eating.
The buns are cheap, huge and warm, and also tasty. Good value for money. The chicken drumstick is also yummy. The wonton noodle soup is good as well.
Good value for your money. Taste is also great if you prefer authentic northern Chinese food.
It's simple, cheap, unhealthy. Just the way it should be. A gem of a place that isn't pretending to be someone else or to cater for a special demographic (hipsters, yuppies, snobs)
Wow. Just awesome handmade wonton and dumplings. Fresh, tasty. Pork ribs noodle soup is great.

Best Wontons in Sydney! Pork wontons or the Pork mushroom and Prawn wontons are to die for! They even offer bulk buy uncooked wontons.
