Review Burger King - Ashfield

Hungry jacks is our go to when it comes to veggie/vegan burger. We went to this particular store and badly regretted not choosing Oporto over it. The store was filthy. It wasn't even the case that they were busy. We were the only customer when we got in the store and we were the only ones for a very long time. Bins were full .. each and every table was dirty. We ordered two regular meals and a burger. Burgers were very average and chips were cold. We asked for fresh chips and they replaced it however the quantity they gave us was a joke. Each chips bag was only half full. Never going back again.

Absolutely disgraceful service I was there for close to 15 mins in drive through to get food, they tried to charge me twice, didn't give me drink walked away while I was asking for it, then looked bothered by me when she the forgot my straw, which by the way wasn't covered and couldn't be used.. I got home and good was cold, barely edible, the onion rings felt like they came out the fridge.

Poor service and English was poorly spoken. The Girl who served us did not ask any questions about any extra items we needed eg. Any need of extra sauce or sugars in our coffee. I was not asked either I would dine in or takeaway. When I went to ask for some sugar the girl said they didn't have any packet sugar And gave only approximately one teaspoon of sugar, which was not even enough for my 3 cups of coffee. There was no tissues available. Then went to ask for tissues and was given only one. Recommend to improve your customer service and English.

Staff member did not say please or thank you once. There was only one other customer seated at a table but 5 of the other tables were not clean with remnants of melted cheese & onion pieces scattered on table surfaces. Behind my bench seat were old fries & dirt in general. In comparison to Maccas this place was filthy & it was 11:55am Tuesday. The floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped for days with boot prints everywhere. With Covid in our rear view mirrors I would’ve expected cleanliness would be noticeable.

The workers are great and can have a laugh. I came through drive thru and was served by a guy named Lucas and he was really helpful and funny. Another guy named Dario charged me and was really nice and then was served again by Lucas at the second window. Would recommend going through drive thru to get the best experience.

My sister decided to surprise me with breakfast today. What we both got was indigestion for the rest of the day. While the servings were good and the food looked edible, I found that the bacon egg muffin, the egg, bacon and sausage smelt and tasted like it had been out for a while before cooking it. I threw that out and thought the hotcakes would be better. Sadly I was wrong. It felt like both items were either cooked on the same griddle or not cleaned properly. This is not an attack by any means. I hope they take this onboard and step up their game a little. I enjoy the other products on the menu, specifically the whopper with cheese, my constant go to from my local HJ outlet and they never disappoint. I’ve always stopped myself from buying their breakfast items previously and I know now why. Breakfast is not their forte at all unfortunately.

Stuck in the area for a couple of hours longer than expected, and gave in to temptation. Had the Bacon Deluxe Burger meal. Certainly hit the spot 👌 Place was spotless and during the hour I was in there, the staff were continually cleaning up the mess people had left, and wiping the tables down. Not somewhere I'd normally visit but excellent value for money.

Did the shake and win on their app. It said it'd be calculated into the shopping cart but it wasn't. I got charged for it. Staff couldn't help. Said contact head office. Wouldn't even give some free fries to make up for it. McDonald's would just give you the cash. The burger was extra hearty and delicious tho.
