Review Sindoor Indian - Ashfield

I don't know how authentic the food is but it's really spicy and tasty. And the naan bread is freshly made! I am very picky with food but I like it a lot. Had it already the second time in this week. Far beyond food court quality. Nothing to complain about.

We tried the SINDOOR INDIAN for the first time last night and the food was great, freshly cooked very tasty and well presented. The waiters were attentive and service overall was good. The restaurant looked to have been recently decorated. The food is so good, the restaurant is comfortable with great management & staff who are friendly & efficient. We are fortunate to have such a little gem in our Suburb which can't be beaten & consider my self a good judge when it comes to Indian food & restaurants.Overall a good meal and great value we will certainly be going back. HIGHLY SUGGEST THIS RESTAURANT FOR BIRTHDAY PARTIES AND FUNCTIONS.

Used to be good about a year ago, but the quality had steadily gone down with less quantity of the quality ingredients (more bones than meat in curry, or just gravy or watery curry, less briyani in takeaway boxes, more fillers eg onions). For takeaway, hard to reach them vs before. Charges for eftpos now. Generally still ok but I won't be back as frequently now.

quantity is too less . too spicy. for meal they put everything in one box. requested at least give the dal in a separate cup but that girl is so rude to say NO. They talk with lots of respect and love with Aussies but no smile or greet to Indians

I have eaten curries all over Sydney for 20 years. Sindoor's curries from their Ashfield Mall outlet are among the best. These are serious curries. Full of flavour with plenty of heat if you want it. The goat curry & biryani are top notch as is their garlic naan. Despite some teething problems with service, they have carried their quality cooking over to their new restaurant in Petersham. Greg

This is a review for a home delivery. The coconut chutney was made with rancid coconut, and even allowing for that, was not made properly. The dosa itself was thick and bready. The masala filling had crushed chilli flakes added to it for no real good reason, That is not traditional. The sambhar was OK, We threw out the coconut chutney into the kitchen compost bin straight away. I made some chutney at home to go with the dosa. I also had some other condiments that usually accompany dosas so we managed. Never again. I notice that all the google reviews are so high only because someone called Aparna keeps giving it 5 stars frequently, with no comments. If you take them out, this will be lucky to have 2 stars.

Attended this take away (may I specify "take away". Not as stated by, obviously a relative or friend of the restaurant as being a restaurant) about 1 month ago and the food was "OK", nothing special and the portions for the price is way too expensive compared to actual restaurants, too much rice (because of the cost of rice makes it viable to sell more than the actual real food). Gave it the benefit of the doubt today (5 April 2022) thinking it may be just a one off downer on the previous time but to my absolute dismay, it was the same, if not worse as my first experience AND THE PORTIONS WERE MUCH SMALLER AND MUCH MORE RICE. Would not recommend it bearing in mind I did give it the benefit of doubt.

Got to be the worst place to get Indian food. Too spicy, no taste and the people who run the place just don't care for feedback or customer service.

Went in for a quick Sunday brunch, ordered a masala dosa and a chicken tandoori which they said will take time like 10 minutes. Was happy to wait but what I saw next just disappointed me and killed my appetite they served me burnt dosa and when I mentioned it to them they said it's crispy. Do I look stupid also if I wanted crispy I would have ordered paper dosa. Nevertheless didn't argue and just left. The tandoori chicken was dry and not marinated well. Worst service and pathetic food quality. Would not recommend to anyone.

I have had a few of the @sindoorIndian dishes. My husband loves Biryani, and I like chola bhatura and naan. Goat curry nice with juicy meaty bones, while chicken curry and butter chicken and lamb have soft tender pieces. Good service good food...we love Sindoor food bcos it feel like in india

Just when u look at fried rice in a food court I saw the biriyani and it does look like the biriyani you get from a proper restaurant
The options for mild curries are limited
Had the chick pea and goat curry,it's a little watery but the worse part is the goat curry had big but also small bones in it. It just ruined the experience

The standout for me was the Tandoori Chicken which in alotnof food courts is dry. The service here is great so friendly and a quick choice for satisfying the curry craving
