Review Gallery 5 - Atherton

It’s a shame that such a funky cafe is so out of touch with ethical consumption and quality customer service. No free range eggs (only cage eggs) and what a look did I get when I asked! I ordered a panini and got the attached. Very disappointing dining experience to say the least.

Fun, quirky and friendly cafe in the centre of Atherton. We came on a weekend and it was really popular with a queue out the door! The food options are perfect for a country cafe. The service was great, food came out fast and was hearty.

Nice place great service but don't ask for a half size as they only take $2 off the price for going half-size and then when you mention it to them all she does is argue with you. Is left a bad taste in my mouth excuse the pun.

Lovely Cafe in town. Friendly staff, spotlessly clean, great food. I had the one pan breakfast, my partner had the breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious & could not fault either meal. Lot's of locals seemed to be eating there. We were passing through on the rd to Undara. Highly recommend.

Funky vibe, love the look of the place. Food was ok, however took half an hour. Forgot to ask for tomato sauce when ordering and was made to order the sauce at the counter and pay $.50 with my credit card as I had no cash or coins. It was a lot of messing around for sauce after spending $50 on food a drink which was disappointing.

Probably the worst food I’ve ever had at a cafe. Pancakes were pre-bought “Golden” brand pancakes, which they didn’t even bother to heat up, and the bacon was undercooked. Their hot chocolate was basically lukewarm, sweetened milk. My partner got the English breakfast which came with two minuscule pieces of toast, and everything was placed on top of the baked beans so it all tasted of baked beans. Would never go here again.

Ordered a flat white coffee in a mug with 2 sugars and a large flat white coffee with 1 sweetener in a take away. Received a flat white in a mug, told there is sugar on the table. Received the takeaway with over a third of milk froth in it. When I took the Frozen flat white back I was treated with discontent by two of the staff. The staff member who made the coffee then said she will remake it. This time I got what I ordered. Do it right the first time, and have staff who can treat customers with respect. Repeat visit nilly.

Has a great atmosphere and nice decor but the food is lacking love which is a shame as it has potential. The Cesar salad was blah but the Brekky sandwich had an egg fried in the top slice of bread which was novel and the avo sauce was spicy.

Nice ambience and staff, food okay but coffee ordinary.  The Gallery 5 looks to be the nicest cafe in Atherton. Especially with the morning sun, the cafe is nice and airy. The inside of the cafe has a really nice feel and inviting to it. The staff are very pleasant, as everyone we came across in Atherton seemed to be. We ordered poached eggs, egg and bacon roll and coffees. The poached eggs on toast were good and the poached eggs were spot on. The spinach was dry and a little tired, which upset the balance of the dish. The egg and bacon roll was good. The cafe lattes were ordinary. The coffee taste was just weak. Locals said it was the best coffee in town. I think this might me right with the cafe itself, but the coffee needs to step up a lot.

Waited 50 minutes for what was meant to be omelette w mushroom, bacon, onion. Raw red onion and something that would be miniature toast? first person to order and by the time the meal came out everyone had finished & wanting to leave. Wouldn't go back!

The staff are amazing friendly and helpful. The coffee is fabulous. The food is wonderful. I love it there. <br/>Chicken pot pie is sooo yummy. <br/>The gift shop is quirky and interesting.

"My Local". Need a spot to stop and meet in town... this is the one!
