Located on Civic Road, this restaurant is part of a chain of Jasmin1 branches. It wasn’t too busy this morning in this Lebanese restaurant. We were quickly seated and menus as well as water was quickly brought over. Service is nice here.
We had the Jasmin Big Breakfast and Fatteh With Meat. It was served with Lebanese bread, vegetables, and tea. The portion sizes are huge and great value for money. The big breakfast had Lebanese sausages, sujuk, scrambled eggs, foul, falafel, hommous, labneh, and shankleesh. The food was very tasty and this would be big enough for 2 people! The fatteh had a nice creamy texture and topped with minced meat. Bread was perfect for mopping up the sauces on both.
Don’t be put off by the old school interior and enjoy the tasty food they have here.
My favourite Lebanese food! Service is quick and the food is super tasty. Love the mixed plates for value and to get a little bit of everything.
Only thing to note is that it can get busy during peak hours and very noisy as it’s an open dining area.
Complimentary cinnamon tea goes down a treat after stuffing ourselves with meat and carbs!
When I was a urology intern in Western Sydney my colleague and good friend told me that we had to go to jasmin1. He said that it was the best Lebanese restaurant in Sydney and he was not wrong. The food was excellent. The only thing I might add is that the service was too attentive and made me feel watched.
If you’re looking for authentic, delicious and a hearty meal, this is the place to come. They make delicious kebabs and the meat is super fresh and tasty. Yum.
Very generous portions of tasty Lebanese food. So far the best Lebanese I tried in Sydney. Service is also very quick.
This place is fantastic. Fast service, excellent food. Visited so many times. Recommend ++++
Visited Jasmin1 to treat ourselves on my family friend's brithday. It was a decent restaurant with decent mediterranean food & taste. Mediterranean food lovers give a try, I hope you like it.
Ordered: sambousik (lamb mince patties, $12 from 7), fattoush salad ($10), chips ($6), mixed platter with lamb and chicken ($22) and medium mashawi plate ($30) with complimentary bread/pickles. I love the diy and communal aspect of lebanese food. If I’m honest, I couldn’t differentiate what meats were what, but it all tasted good to me. Nothing in particular stood out, but everything complemented each other really well and made for an enjoyable meal. All this food feeds about 5-6 ppl.
Came here for a weekend lunch. The place was quite when we came but soon it was full of customers.
Dish ordered: mixed plate (skewers).
Portion was quite generous and everything tasted delightful.
Parking space might be tricky during busy time and there’s extra charge if you pay by credit card (didn’t see any sign about the extra charge so I realised about it when I saw the receipt).
All about last night 11.04.2019!! Doing a good for all those foodies in Sydney who are missing on so much!! This is so far the best lebanese cuisine i have tried here. Simply finger licking taste!! The meat 🥩 was so fresh and tender and the entire food was complimented with the traditional lebanese tea. Mama mia 😋.. .

Traditional lebanese tea - 10/10 .

Yum food with big portions, you never feel hungry when you leave the restaurant. A casual environment. Parking can be a drama, there are some spots but can get full easily. We were lucky though. Positive experience.
Sooo what do I say about this place.. the food is absolutely perfect.. the ambiance is ok .. service is good..I have been to this restaurant so many times.. we are here almost every other weekend.. This is my husband’s favourite restaurant. I have tried almost everything on the mains menu.. starters I haven’t tried many... but everything I ate was absolutely delicious! Juicy! Fresh! The filafils are so crispy! The hommus is finger licking good! Chicken and all meats are bursting with flavours! There is nothing negative I can say about this place...Even on busy weekends their service is not slow! E
Very no fuss restaurant that is really good bang for your buck and super on flavours. My Favs are the garlic chicken which is their signature dish and Hommus with meat. I love that they give you complimentary garlic sauce which they refill as well as bread and pickles!

Thanks for the meal!
Ordered a mix plate.
There is solid hearty food to be had here. Everything is quite delicious with nice smokey grill flavours. The meats were tender and I particularly enjoyed the lamb. The servings of pickled sides was a big plus.
Nice restaurant. It was packed at 5 in the evening.
The staff who served us was very friendly and prompt.
The food was good, right from the bread, pickles and dips served complimentary to the main course. The meats were juicy and perfectly cooked. The breads were good. The vegetarian was good too.
Yummy food with decent size food, ok prices and great customer services.
Make sure to ask for tea in cups cause that is complementary but not the pot!
4 stars and a half but can’t select that in the stars above.
Was greeted with excellent and prompt service from the moment we walked in. Food portions here are massive and very filling! The garlic sauce was a highlight as well. Only downside was the lamb was a bit dry but other than that will be back again to try more of the menu!

Ive always liked Lebanese food, but this place is like truly Lebanese. I loved the meshawi mixed plate that had kebabs/kofte .. personally I lived the one with chicken.
The staff is extremely polite and sweet. Even though I bothered then quite a few timeस, they answered each of my questions very well and helped me place my order.
I ordered the fatteh which was chickpea and yogurt. I like the taste but it was a little less spicy for my taste.
The falafel was amazing and very filling.
Mind you their portion size is large and do not order too much food at once becauEe you might end up taking it home for dinner!
My favourite was the garlic sauce that they served along with. It was just the best thing!
For dessert I had baklava and I was surprised to see they had ladies finger baklava as well! Their cinnamon tea is free for the first round and tastes great with the baklava.
Overall, my experience was fabulous and I'm definitely going back for a gorgeous shawarma asap!
Excellent food, huge portions, friendly staff - couldn’t be better!
I just loved their garlic sauce, tabouli and garnishes. We ordered mashawi, fish and prawns - they were delicious.
Best chicken I have ever had in Sydney.
The restaurant is so busy when I walked in, yet the owner offer great service and food was delivered in a short time with very nice service.
Unfortunately, my phone died so I could not take a few pictures. For the record, I happily finished the mixed plate (all chicken) and grilled eggplant/cauliflower all by myself.
Have visited this place a lot of times. If you want to have food in a budget which tastes good as well, this is the place. They serve complimentary pickled olives and veggies with bread.Towards the end, they serve jasmin tea which is also on the house.Must try the veggie platter.
Best thing about the place - better taste and much better portions. You are greeted with the most beautiful smelling Jasmin tea. I went in for the veggie platter to get everything veggie they have on menu together and it's all worth for the price, the taste is authentic, portions size is huge and service is quick.
If you ever heard of the expression “looks can be deceiving” well I tell you what Jasmin1 is just that .
It’s Middle Eastern cuisine at its best. Our gang hit the streets of auburn on a fine weekday evening and came across Jasmin1. Let me tell you straight parking is no fun at this place. Space is limited so public transport would be good option. You won’t think much about the restaurant when you see it from the outside but don’t turn back yet . We got a table straightaway and started ordering our good. We ordered the chicken shawarma, Lamb shawarma and Mixed plate as we wanted to try everything.
The mixed plate was yumm, the combination of kafta, shish kebabs and falafel along with garlic , baba ghanoush (egg plant) and hummus was heavenly.
We thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken and lamb shawarma was awesome not to mention the pickled vegetables. We also had a jug of ayraan , yoghurt drink which very soothing followed by a sweet black tea.
The whole experiences as a reminder of the dubai street food scene which I miss dearly.I left very envious about the plight of sydneysiders as they have authentic Lebanese dishes at their doorstep.
LUCKY !!!
Kabseh Fish : 😁 Great
Mixed Plate : 😍 Amazing
Fattouch : 😍 Amazing
Service : 😁 Great
Beautiful food and great service. You can smell the deliciousness of the food from outside. Absolutely loved the meats on the mixed plate. Everything was cooked perfectly and some meats even had that smoky taste to it. Tabouli was a little sour for us but still paired well when eaten with everything else.

Best Mediterranean restaurant in Sydney.best in terms of cost and taste both .. u have to wait in queue but hospitality , presentation ,taste of foods make it worth
Once you tried their food especially their meat platter you will definitely coming back. My favourite is their mixed plate so I have bits and pieces of everything. Their chicken and lamb is my top pick. It is very tasty and tender. They have a complimentary tea once you finish your meal. We always go here every friday and it is always packed which means food is really good!
I honestly love this place. Would come here over again and again and again and again. :) Definitely recommended to those who are looking for some good authentic middle eastern food.
Came here for iftar dinner with my family extremely busy and fast paced atmosphere didn't actually mind it. The food was average considering we were all fasting I had to tell the waiter to give us a new fresh fattoush salad because he gave me a salad from couple who were sitting behind us so that gave a bad impression of the place however the rest of the food was delicious.
Now about the service really good especially the girl her name is Sadi such a sweet and wonderful waitress but not the the others just minor things they could change about the way they serve people. Don't get me started on the people behind the counter extremely rude to customers!
All in all good food reasonable prices just minor things they should consider with customer service and presentation and I can bet people will fall in love with place and come back. Parking is shocking lucky if you find a spot. And yes from reading all the previous reviews the cinnamon tea is great at the end of a the meal but considering we came for iftar dinner during Ramadan I would have liked a slice of cake or at least a Baklava for dessert but didn't get anything.
Loved this place so much that went there twice in a week! The bread was lovely as was the garlic sauce! Enjoyed our shish taouk as well as the lemon garlic chicken immensely. The lemon garlic chicken was the star! Found the shawarma chicken slightly dry . The tea served after the meal was delightful. The pista baklava was so so good!
First of all i want to say that i am vegetarian & this restaurant is famous for its non-veg food ,only 3 4 food items were available as veg food here but it was the best Lebanese food i have ever had.
I love this place ! Value for money and great food and portions .
The garlic dip and pickled veggies are also a great touch. Sambousek were yum loved the cheese ones and the kebabs were really great too. Can’t wait for my next visit when I’m back in Sydney
Great food and friendly, efficient staff. I would recommend that you make a booking for this restaurant as this place was packed when I went.
SERVICE - A family had just vacated a table which we were directed to. However we soon realised that there was food on the chairs, floors. Overall it was gross. I asked for us to be moved, but the manager/senior staff told us there weren't any other available tables. He, however apologised for the unclean state of the table and quickly had 3 other staff clean the table and the area in less than a few minutes. The staff were all smiles, not once showing attitude for this added work.
FOOD - The food was amazing. Deliciously made skewers of meat. The food was plentiful, tasty and priced cheaper than I would have paid for this quality of food.
Overall a pleasant dining experience.
Very delicious Lebanese food and great value. The Mixed plate is huge and comes with Falafel and Kibbe on top of the usual mixed plate fare. The falafel is freshly fried, and delicious.
Be sure to grab the (free) cinnamon tea as part of the meal.
The car park fills up very quickly, but there is generally reasonable turnover. Make sure to reverse in, as people park all over the place
If you’re after a big feast at a budget price, Jasmin1 is the place to go. Great food with friendly staff. Serving sizes are enormous. Not to mention the complimentary sweet tea at the end goes down a treat.
Excellent quality Lebanese food at excellent prices. Service is very friendly and fast (wait is usually only 15 mins). The complementary characteristic tea after your meal is great and shows the generosity of the people at Jasmin
Customer service was perfect! Staff are professional and extremely attentive. The food is absolutely delicious and you can easily alternate for a complete vegan meal. The highlight was receiving a beautifully blended complimentary tea at the end of our meal 😁
Whenever I’m in Sydney, I go to Jasmin for some delicious. I have to say I’v never been disappointed. They are always fast, friendly & the food is delicious. Love their cinnamon tea!
Extremely good food at an extreme speed. The staff are friendly and always smiling. After a tremendous meal you are welcomed with delicious complementary tea and also with chewing gum after your meal. Highly recommended.
Ordered the mix platter, lamb platter and labneh. was amazing, great service and delicious food. Will definitely come back again. The garlic dip was also top notch :)
My fave place to eat with my husband. We come here almost every night. It feels like home. Everyone's friendly. Very nice atmosphere. I love this place. I must say dont go or try KHAYBAR! $5 for a tea, and Jasmin is free tea! Ridiculous. What a rip off Khaybar! Its nice to be back home. Jasmin1 my 2nd home 😊
Ordered the lamb shawarma and the mixed plate. Service was prompt, the mixed plate meats were delish (esp the chicken - so juicy!). Even gave us complimentary tea of some sort which was so yum!
Reasonably priced too. Would return!
Favourite resturant in sydney. Value for money. Awesome food, attentive staff. Go there every week. Love the kabseh lamb and chicken shwarma.
Amazing food with generous portions at reasonable price. Love the tea at the end of meal. Friendly and quick service. Will definitely visit another weekend
Heard this restaurant n read its reviews decided to try it out on a Monday night for dinner. This restaurant was empty being a weekday. Its located walkable distance from auburn station. Its very spacious.
We ordered the mixed plate for starters which had the lamb skewer, kafta skewer, chicken skewer, falafel, kibbeh along with salad and hommus. It was pretty filling and tasty too. For mains we ordered the chicken shawarma with pita bread and salad. This too was good in quantity and quality too. We had to pack the shawarma as we were too full. They also served fragrant tea at the end of the meal which was tasty too with fragrance of cinnamon and other spices.
Service was good and quick and pricing is good too for a whole meal and yet much more. Lovely Lebanese restaurant close to my home. Will definitely go again to try more of their dished.
My Asian friend and I went there and were really satisfied with the quality of food. Fish, Prawn, chips and lamb, rice, hummus, yoghurt were all delicious and well prepared. Certainly will go again to try the other food.
✔️ Jasmin1 in Leichhardt is good but this one I auburn is so much better !! After just coming back from Lebanon, I have to say this restaurant had such great authentic Lebanese food better than any of the restaurants I went to in Lebanon. The service is always soo consistently quick at jasmin1. Really nice mezza (cheese sambousek, kibbeh and fattoush). The dips (labne, hummus, baba ghanouj) were all to die for especially the baba ghanouj - so creamy and perfect smoky flavour. For main we ordered the mixed plate which was a perfect amount for 2, absolutely beautiful kafta and chicken. Tender and so flavoursome. It was basically faultless. OMG and I have to mention the prices - super affordable it's ridiculous for the quality of food. Highly recommend this place for really quick and amazing Lebanese food.
❌ The only thing I would fault with the food was the tabouli - pretty saltless and no lemon so the flavour wasn't great. The workers are not very friendly here - not rude but could be a little less cold.
Food: 4.5/5

Auburn is known for middle eastern food and Jasmin1 is one of the first names one thinks about. Cheap, tasty and generous in size. Despite the large size of tje restaurant, can get busy still.
Jasmin 1 has super fast service and really good food for really cheap. This is our go-to Lebanese place in Sydney. We went here on a Sunday evening and the place was full however we managed to get our order in less than 10 minutes. We had Hummus, Falafel and Fattoush which was really good.
I have been eating authentic lebanese food at Jasmin1 since last 3 years (with my husband who introduced me to this lebanese food haven!), and the food tastes the same - fingerlicking delicious!
They are renovating now, so watch out for better interiors.
My ratings:
Food : unbeatably yummy, consistent flavours.
Ambience : quite basic, not a fancy place. Come here only to satiate your hunger!
Service : quick ans prompt
Value for money : 100%
Will I visit again? without a doubt!
Goodluck guys!
My reviews are based on my personal experience of visiting this Restaurant and can be categorised as per below :
------------------------------------------------
- Location : 7 min walk from Auburn station
- Cuisine : Lebanese
- Taste : Excellent food
- Staff : Friendly staff
- Ambience : Average
- Serving per plate : Very good and waiting time is less
- Cost for two : $15 for two
- What I tried : There are multiple options to choose from.
- In short : Good budget restaurant. Fantastic food. Good place for non vege . No proper options for vegetarian.
They have served different kind of dips which were very tasty.
They have served delicious pickled salads.
Free Roti/Naan/Bread is served with every meal you order.
Food was excellent like always. It wasn't my first time at this restaurant. Loved their food thoroughly. I'm a big fan of middle-eastern/lebanese cuisine. They never failed to impress me. They need to improve their service though. The waiter kept bothering us to take our plates away while we were still having our food. It was a bit annoying. Everything we ordered arrived very quickly and tasted delicious. Parking is available at the back but only for a few cars.
Being vegetarian I had less choice here. Ordered veg plate and fatteh.
Well seriously have no idea how tye fatteh was made but it certainly had egg. (so it wasn't truly veg 😜)
The veg plate had baba ganoush, falafel, hommus and some really great sauted veggies. A garlic dip plus salad comprising of onion, olives, a pink looking veggie n green chillies (all very very sour) was also given n lebanese bread was given complementary!
Now i hav this problem wid lebanese food, why do they make it so sour? Everything except the hommus was too sour to appreciate. Upto few bites you really enjoy the taste but after that it all starts tasting the same.
However, all in all, the food was fulfilling n good. Quantity was ample.
But what was real refreshing breeze was their lebanese chai that comes in the end: hot, delicious and zingy! I loved loved it!
Kebabs and mixed plates here are amazing, great value and will leave you full. Service is good, not amazing but not bad either. Love their cinnamon tea!
Good service, decent food at a very reasonable price. Tried the mixed plate and free cinnamon tea, overall it's better than I had hoped as I am not a regular consumer of middle eastern food. The environment is nothing fancy but seems generally clean.
I arrived slightly earlier than my friends. The waiters kept coming to see if I was ready to order, which I didn't mind. I was looking around and it was packed and everything smelled so good. We shared platters - meat and vegetables and had another bowl of salad. I thought it was enough food for three people. They came around with tea which was pleasant way to end the dinner. I think the servings are generous and was good price. I'd come back again .
It's good to see Jasmin1 up and running again after someone left the gas on and the whole place went up in smoke. I look forward to eating there in the near future.
What a fantastic place! This institution-esque restaurant was buzzing on Saturday night and I understand why. My partner and I ordered one $15 mixed vegetarian plate, which was more than enough to satisfy our Lebanese cravings for weeks. Falafel balls, fried eggplant, and sambousek were the highlights, but everything was delicious.
Only few cuisines can match the sumptuous feeling one gets after having Lebanese food. Jasmine 1 is known for the generous portions of delectable kebabs that it offers at a reasonable price. The following review will focus on key components of taste, service and value for money.
When it comes to kebabs, the more variety the better. We ordered a small Mashawi to get a taste of the three prominent kebabs served at Jasmine 1. Out of the three kebabs (Shish Kebab, Shish Tawook and Kafta skewer), the Shish Tawook stood out, followed by the Kafta skewer. While the Shish Tawook was simply succulent, the Kafta skewer could have been more tender and the Shish Kebab was quite chewy. After getting a brief taste of the kebabs, we ordered a popular appetiser called Sujuk. Sujuk consists of sliced lamb sausages with a hint of spice, not too overpowering. It goes really well with the garlic dip, and is strongly recommended. Further, we ordered individual plates of the aforementioned kebabs as we could not get enough of them. The meal was ended with Kabseh Lamb, a preparation of aromatic rice with a generous, flavorful chunk of lamb. A good meal can be rated the best by the smile on a person's face post-consumption, and I had a big gleaming smile on my face post-meal.
However, the smile was cut short at the end because of rude service. A sumptuous meal was tarnished by ignorance of the staff, and that's one of the only few negatives about this restaurant.
The food portions were generous, and are great value for money. The restaurant offers family-friendly ambience, and a slightly more amicable service will make this restaurant a potential favourite in the area.
Overall, the ratings would be -
Food - 7.5/10
Ambience - 6/10
Service - 4/10
Value for money - 8/10
P.S. - The spiced bread along with the Hommous makes for a great snack!
Amazing food and despite of being very busy, amazing service too. I just love the chicken (with note spicy) and the bread. Will highly recommend.
Decided to try out Jasmine1 for a weeknight dinner with 2 friends. I ordered the lemon garlic chicken, and my friends ordered a mixed plate and a lamb plate. The three of us were happy with our dishes! My lemon garlic chicken was great however I think if I had to have eaten any more the lemon garlic would have just been too busy. The lamb was also delicious and very tender. The mixed plate was a very generous serving compared to other Lebanese restaurants that charge almost double the price. Value for meal is great and service is pleasant.
Amazing low cost food ... Worth the price. Ambience can be better. But for the price they are offering food Ambience doesn't matter.
Must try dishes are chicken shawarma and humus.
Value for every buck we spent.Staff can be a bit more polite and friendly and smiling.
A nice Lebanese food joint in Auburn having good food in good price. We have tried lemon garlic chicken and mix bbq platter along and both were good in taste. Complimentary Arabic tea on the top was awesome. The place have plenty of sitting space, still quite crowded in off peak hours as well. Parking is another issue over there.
Not the prettiest looking restaurant, or friendliest staff... But the food, AMAZING. We drive 45min to eat here. The mixed plates are done to perfection. Everything is fresh and delicious.
Where do I begin with this Lebanese eating house?!
When you first take a step into this restaurant it's just crammed with seats. That's the first thing that catches your eyes.
Human bodies just sitting on the patio at the front of the restaurant that is covered by plastic weather protection stuff (can't find the words to describe it to you) like a makeshift extension, just feels claustrophobic. When you actually make it into the restaurant itself, it is pretty much the same scenario. The place, chocker block full of tables crammed in so close to each other. The atmosphere of this place is... A sense of crowdedness, plate cluttering and lots of noise, but after a while it begins to sounds like bad background noise that you block out.
Trying to flag the wait staff was a challenge as we quickly became aware that... Service is bit non existent in this place, but managed to catch the eye of a wait staff working there, asked for a table for two and was directed to x table 15, which was at the back of the restaurant in a corner near a door that led into another room/area of the restaurant (I assumed this was a function room, as there was a birthday dinner there) as it turned out, this table was the worst... Why? Because it happened to be the nut sack and belly gut table. Quickly discovered that oversized men (if you could call them that) walked past the table, almost knocking the food off the table with their gut and groin. Was so off putting. We had to push the plates in so that these individuals wouldn't inadvertently bump our meals when they were walking pass our table, due to the narrow walk way.
Apart from that...
This place was a great dining experience and I can see why there were many expanding waist lines.
We ordered the number 2 banquet (it's a minimum of 2ppl) did not realise the portion of this banquet meal! Holy moly it was MASSIVE! We hardly made a dent in the food before we got full.
There were three meat types; 2 skewers each. Two salads, three dips, pickled vegetables, Lebanese bread, falafel and some other fried stuff. It was insane!
Do they really think two people could eat that much! It was so well worth it though. At $25 per head, it out weighed our expectations. The meat was just tender and ingredients so fresh! To top it off, they gave us free containers to take the left overs home to be consumed later. Waste not want not.
For $50 for two we walked out with a big grin and a very full stomach. This place is well worth a visit. Will be back to try other things there. It's so cheap! It's unbelievable
if youre hungry and low on cash then you definitely need to go to Jasmine, one of the cheaper and extremely filling and tasty places ive ever been to. The mixed platter is amazing, large portions of meat and you're bound to leave full. Love the garlic sauce and the skewers (especially the lamb)
Well there are a few jasmine 1 restaurants in Sydney, I have been to all of them and tried pretty much all of there delicacies. Undoubtedly, This one is the best among them. From the quality of food to service and ambience it just hits the right chords.
There Lebanese Mixed plate comes with sheesh kebab, well grilled tender chicken breast, kafta, baba ghanush and hommus dressed with olive oil is sure to excite your taste buds, fatteh with chicken is just perfect toppled with pine nuts cooked with yoghurt served with veges on the side, don't miss the fattoush salad which is a traditional Lebanese salad quite colourful , crunchy with full of tangy flavour to it, add to that there complimentary black tea made in arabian style. Ola!!! That's sure to make you fall in love with the Lebanese cuisine.
The ambience is good. Cost vice they are quite cheap comparatively. Mandi here is not worth trying, save yourself.
Wonderful food in a crowded place. Being a veggie, I was sceptical about the options in a kebab place. But I had my best ever falafel, baba ghanoush, bread. I had tried the veggie platter, it was too much filling and with ultimate taste. Spiced black tea was a great show stopper. Love to go again.
What a pleasant experience. Delicious Lebanese food and hospitalitt. Complimentary colourful pickles, bread, and garlic yoghurt on arrival. Menu of all the favorites ! Fav of the order was the kofta served on bread!!!
Can't find a single fault. Absolute perfection including what I'd call the best falafels ever!!!
They have the most delicious sweet fruity tea that's free with your meal that I've never tasted before. Everyone was very entertaining to our 2 yr old also, she laughed her head off haha. Thankyou for a wonderful first time experience.
Situated in Auburn, Jasmin is your place to go for quality Turkish/Lebanese food. We went on a Saturday evening, the place was packed and more people were waiting to get in (always a good sign).
We ordered the chicken shish tawook (succulent chicken, cooked to perfection) and a mixed plate. The mixed plate contained a chicken shish, a lamb kefta, a lamb kebab, hummus, baba ghanouj, 2 falafels and some tabouli. All this was served with pre-cut fresh Lebanese bread, salad and garlic sauce. The lamb kebabs were very moist and a delight to eat. The falafel was not over fried and spiced just right. There was a lot of food for the two of us, but the quality of food was such that we had no trouble finishing it. We ended the meal with the complimentary sweet, black tea which was a great way to end a fabulous meal.
One word of caution though: if you are going here on a weekend, the place will be noisy.. no, very noisy. You can't really dine in peace, but the quality of food makes up for the commotion.
This place has set the bar so high for all other Leb restaurants. Service, food and price - all on point.
Food comes quickly and in huge portions, everything tastes so fresh and authentic. Falafel is light, crispy and warm and dips are full of flavour without being too creamy and overpowering. Tabouli is lemony and juicy, unlike all the other dry and bland ones served at other places (ahem Leichardt Jasmin). They also let you make variations to the mixed plates (unlike Leichardt Jasmin!) at no extra cost.
Service is fast, bringing out water and complimentary bread + pickles within 5 mins of being seated. They're also more than happy to bring you a 2nd round of free cinnamon tea.
We come here at least twice a week, ALWAYS walk out of here happily stuffed and have never paid more than $36 for 2 ppl. Out of all the Jasmins, the Auburn one is hands down by FAR the best.
How is it that we have driven past this place so many times and never tried it?! Does anyone know how amazing the complementary starters are? (Mixed plate of pickles, mint, chilli, tomato and onions plus garlic dip and a basket of Lebanese bread!!) or how glorious the mixed seafood plate is? How affordable it is????
For all my incredulity I had a fantastic experience here. The mixed seafood plate was very filling: the marinated BBQ Prawns were delicious, the calamari rings crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the eggplant dip just so multidimensional in flavour and the tabouli so fresh and tangy. And shared between two as well... $11.50 each, not bad. Not bad at all 😎
Service was great, the waitress brought out this sweet tea with cinnamon and cloves(?)
Yum can't w8 to go back tbh fam
EDIT: went back. Got the fish and prawn plate this time. Couldn't finish all of it, fried cauliflower was AMAZING, decent serving of prawns!!! Fresh and zingy fattoush, wonderfully seasoned chips. Brother had the chicken shawarma and he loved it.
PS: TRY THE TURKISH TEA. Amazing, bye
I have a Lebanese background and I'm probably the most fussy critic when it comes to our cultural food because I've traveled to Lebanon and I guess you could say Ive had the real deal + my mums amazing cooking all the time.
For the quality of food, plus prices, portion sizes and overall hospitality you get at Jasmines I have to give it 5 stars. I absolutely loved it. I've been a few times now and I always order all dishes minus the meat dishes because I'm a vegetarian. Although I don't eat meat I know for a fact my boyfriend absolutely devoured his!! He gave the food two thumbs up as well. I love the complimentary mezza, bread and yummy tea. It's a very traditional casual dining Lebanese restaurant. Just awesome :)
My wife and I decided to go somewhere we usually don't go the other week and ended up at Jasmine 1 in Auburn. We've visited Jasmine in Leichardt, the home of Italians, but never Jasmine in Auburn, the home of Lebanese, Indians, Pakistanis and other middle eastern cultures. A little closer to the real deal hey?
The restaurant was packed with locals, people were waiting outside even though customer turnover was thick and fast. The moment my wife and I walked through the door we knew we weren't going to be disappointed. The moment we sat down, out came the flat bread, garlic dip and pickles. Within ten minutes of ordering our mixed plate (18.00) and garlic chicken (13.00) the food arrived. The mixed plate was stacked with beautiful meats - barbecued chicken, beef and lamb kofte sat on a plate of smoky baba ganoush, lemony hommous and tabouli. Kibbe and falafel was also included. Garlic chicken speaks for itself. YUMMM!
Staff were lightning fast and ultra friendly to us, bringing us small glasses of cardamom tea and offering more bread and pickles. Jasmine 1 doesn't have the most glamorous interior but the food is gorgeous. Fantastic value. Will be back in the near future to try other dishes.
Food was great ! The portions are unbelievable for the price you pay !! Love the lamb shank ! And also the Sambusas are to die for ! Love the lamb filling in the Sambusas and the flaky pastry on the outiside ! So good ! Service wasn't bad either ! Such a great meal 😁

Garlic sauce Ninja'd !!!
Grilled meats of lamb, chicken and beef. Moist and flavourful with heaps of sides and lebanese bread. $17 for the mix plate but we had a groupon voucher so its $24 for 2x Mix platter, small piece of sweet and their sweet spiced tea, we were stuffed and happy.
The meat were moist and flavourful which was great and some considered it healthy .... Until next time .... Keep eating !!!
Great food , All grills are so fresh and the accompaniments are super good.Have been at the restaurant several times and always enjoyed the service and quality of the dishes
Brilliant lebanese food at a great price.
Outdoor seating area in particular is great to sit in groups.
After you have stuffed yourself with delicious platters, make sure to have a Cinnamon tea before leaving
Mum, Stepdad and I were heading back from the Cherry Blossom festival in Auburn and decided to have lunch at Jasmine 1 afterwards. It was early in the day, about 11am on a Saturday, but the restaurant was filled with lots of people already. As a casual restaurant, the ambience here was loud and noisy.
The best Lebanese food in Sydney the best things to eat mashawi plate fish n prawns n kebseh the best part is the complimentary black tea must go place in Sydney
Must have dish is their platter . Authentic falafels after a very long time. Awesome mutton seekh, hummus and tabouli. Value for money. Decent ambience. Conveniently located.
Great food. Always crowded but the serving speed is quick. They have a private carpark ($5) but we usually park at the Auburn Civic Carpark and walk over. Will revisit!
