Upon reading the reviews, I actually feel bad for this small cozy place. I ordered chicken momos and I thought they were fantastic.

Ordered the saag and we ordered the spicy hot option. It was not only extra spicy but the flavour was intense. We thoroughly enjoyed this place at its new location

After getting off to burwood from the airport, we thought of having nepali food. As we were so hungry, we grabbed 5 skewers from a nearby store. As soon as we entered the restaurant, a short waitress in black uniform confronted us saying that outside food are not allowed. Fair enough, but we literally had 2 skewers left and the container was enclosed. We tried to convince her that we would finish it right away without making mess and we will be ordering alot. She still insisted us to not have the outside food. Seriously?? Does she even know what customer service really is ? That is not the way to handle such situation. She was rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. My past experience was horrible too;serving wrong orders and cold food. No wonder this restaurant has such poor reviews. Keep up like this, I doubt you guys will have many customers in the near future. Save your bucks and spend in an actual good restaurant.

Pretty mixed feelings about this place as the food here was not too bad but it was confusing to see ‘dumplings’ here. The place seemed a little rundown and any place that uses plastic covers on their tables says a lot about the standards of the place. The waitress also seemed always confused when speaking to her and some menu items are unavailable. Also there is no indoor restrooms here. You have to travel outside through a little alleyway with a toilet that definitely does not look like it’s maintained but I believe it’s shared so it may not be there responsibility ? Probably won’t come back.

As like others, I had similar experience with their food. Was starving and craving for momo and got off at Burwood to go to this place and ordered veg momo and aalu ko aachar, momo was awful, no taste like momo, lots of carrot and chickpeas only and aalu ko aachar felt like taken out from frozen, it taste nice when chilled not frozen. I did order more momos for my brothers they ate chicken momo and they didn't like it either.

I came here last week to have some authentic nepalese dishes. I was really craving for noodle soup so I ordered a thukpa..i was really shocked and dissappointed when my thukpa arrived with peices of chicken tandoori.. Really?? Has the chef ever tried a real thukpa in the streets of thamel or boudha? If I wanted chinese indian then I would have gone to some where else!!!

It used to be good in terms of service and food. But now everytime i go their service is shit. I tried calling them 4 or 5 times to make an order. No one answered and when went there and asked them why didnt they answer phone there was no apology whatsoever and made an excuse that they were busy. I believe every businesses answers their phone for customers no matter how busy they are. It is part of their job. If cant be bothered then don't work their. I am so not happy with the front of house staff. Hire some good staff.

I love ANYTHING to do with Nepal and will support any business they are involved with. The Nepalese people are what all of the world's people should be like ... kind, generous, humble, peaceful and beautifully natured!

See, I was suggested this place by a friend. Its a BIG no for vegetarians.
First of all, there is no need avoid a vegetarian at your restaurant. I ordered veg momos, steamed, because it was an authentic Nepali restaurant. I got momos that were barely cooked inside, and were sticky outside. There was CAPSICUM and CARROT (raw) inside the momo.

The chowmein, they made it spicy with chilli, but forgot about flavour. So they gave a ketchup bottle with it. So they knew that it was going to be bland?

The thukpa looked good, but nothing too special about it, according to my partner.

The staff was good, I have 1 whole star because of them.
I had to force myself to eat 5 momos, and thankfully my partner ate 3.
Sadly, will not be going back.
Relatively expensive, too.

Beautiful food, tastes fresh and loaded with flavours
Amazing presentation
These guys are doing some great work in bringing Nepalese flavours and dishes to this part of the world.
Definitely the best Nepalese restaurant in Auburn
One of the best in Sydney
Used to be really good, when I first moved to Auburn a couple of years ago, this was the place to be for Nepalese around these parts... But recently the food started to feel bland... Tasteless .. so I stopped going there ... But last week my friend wanted to try the place ..so we, a group of 4, went there .. tried all sorts of things . ... Momo did not have any spices felt very plain ... The spicy soup noodle .. did not even have salt in it ... let alone being spicy... The khaja set .. supposed to have goat meat... Tasted like lamb .. and anyone .. who has eaten both can tell the difference ...so I will not be going there ... Recommendations: not really... May be you can try .. I wouldn't ..

Its a mid-range restaurant you can go for the food. Don't expect too much on the service. Its mostly nepalese food but had a few Indian dishes on the menu.. could have definitely done without it!

The general food is good but I go back again and again for the momos and chicken chow-mine. They lack consistency at times but overall its a good place.

This place is awesome! We had chicken momos and chilli chicken and both were equally as delicious.
Staff are lovely and service is great. Definitely worth a visit !!

First time trying Himalayan cuisine which seems to be a mix of Indian, Chinese and a mish mash of other neighboring countries. Their specialities are the momos, in other words dumplings. We tried their chicken mince dumplings drenched in a sweet chilli gravy w onions and capsicums and it was quite good. Then we had their chicken thali which is comes with a few side dishes including rice, lentill dish resembling Dahl, potato and bamboo shoots which we didn't eat as we found the smell of the shoots overwhelming, crunchy fried beans of some sort, with chicken curry. A generously sized dish, but not something I'd have again. Seems to be popular with the locals though.

Firstly I have to say. The service is so friendly. Being welcomed into the restaurant with a smile and a warm Nepali "Namaste" made us feel immediately at home.

The food is like a carnival for the tastebuds. If I wasn't so full after eating 3 dishes I would eat more.

Coming back tomorrow!!!

I am their repeat customer who only goes back as they serve the best chilli momos and unfortunately, also the only item on their menu which we have found to be good. The momos are served in chilli gravy and is enough in quantity to feed an adult. Their wait staff is friendly and food is very reasonably priced.

Food: 4.5 (Chilli Momos)
Ambience: 3
Service: 4
VFM: 4

Auburn is a suburb in Western Sydney, well known for its saturation of Middle Eastern and Asian supermarkets, bakeries and restaurants. In the last couple of years, I've also noticed an increase in the African and Himalayan communities. The wonderful thin
