Really great place for malatang, good value and large range of produce as well as dishes other than malatang. Highly recommend.
I have known about this place for a while but never went until today. I can honestly say the malatang was good but their laksa was great. Definately hit the spot.

First time trying Ma La Tang and as a hotpot lover I’m surprised I never knew this was a thing. It’s pretty self explanatory when you walk in and the first thing you see is the tong and bowl area right next to the filling station. It was clean and tidy and everything looked of good quality. You can easily rack up a very expensive soup however upon return I can certainly see that I wouldn’t need so much and could be a little cheaper. Awesome if your cutting carbs or sticking to a certain diet. I stuck with prawn, loads of tofu/soy based products and veggies with a small amount of noodle. Choose between clear soup or spicy. The spicy broth was so delicious - a really decent broth. Came to $17 which is expensive for soup but this one has loads more substance, super filling and packed with things I love. Husband has the Hanan chicken and it was cheap, tasty and a large serving. The lady at the counter had a lovely smile on her face and there’s a sauce station to make your own. Can’t wait to come back!
First time trying ma la tang and it was delicious! The broth was really nice and had some good spice flavour to it, ingredients were also fresh. Service was good and food came out pretty fast. Overall they had a clean environment and cool air con for a hot day!

What’s most important about eating at a Ma La Tang restaurant is the flavour of the broth they pour over your chosen goodies. Here, the soup is spicy and addicting. After adding all your favourites inside a bowl, the chefs will cook and add their famous Ma La Tang. Service from behind the counter is quick and friendly. Here they also do other dishes if you don’t feel like soup or noodles.
Cheap, affordable, tasty and definitely filling! Perfect for winter and you can choose between normal or spicy soup bases. Service was also very fast. We also tried the stir fried rice noodle with beef and that was quite nice too.

Really fresh ingredients and clean environment. You choose your own meats, vegetables and other ingredients for the chefs to cook in a flavoured broth (clear or spicy). Consistent cooked well and with an abundance of sauces to add to your dish after it is cooked! They also have the best Pork Chop Rice dishes I have ever had too, worth the trip for this alone.
Definitely one of the best 'Ma La Tang' places in Sydney, would recommend.
This MLT place offers a wide variety of ingredients to be paired with either the MLT and laksa soup base. I was really keen to try the laksa base but personally found it too sweet. However, my boyfriend really enjoyed the MLT base! Surprisingly, they also have other dishes like hainese chicken rice, which we will definitely have to come back and try!
I live in Lidcombe and we come here very often. There are two Malatang restaurants in Auburn, we tried another several times but didn't like it. Golden Towe Malatang is still always been the best even though the price slightly higher than other but it doesn't make any difference. We love it!!!

Went here to get takeaway for dinner tonight. The service was great and all the staff were wearing face masks for customer safety. The Ma la tang was delicious, the broth quite light and good flavour and I got to DIY all the sauces. Even after a 30 min drive home - the soup was still piping hot. Great value for money, would come back again.
Not bad Malatang but also not great. The Malatang soup was not big enough and the portion size was small compared to other Malatang places for how much we paid. The soup lacks a kick.
Broth tasted instant and had scoop full of msg. The selection is not great but price is relatively cheaper. Would come back for a quick eat if nearby but would be a disappointment for malatang fans.
