This place is absolutely incredible! I cannot fault this exceptional local dining experience. They source only local produce and what’s seasonal from their garden and the result is terrific. A limited menu with only the best, beautiful food, elegant setting and lovely country service. Put it on your list next time you’re in Clare!

I came down to Clare and Balaklava a week for work h last month. First time I sat out side for one hour and I was advised they were fully booked out. So I immediately booked in a month, which is today why I have these photos to share with you. Firstly, let’s talk about his attitude. when I was notified that they were booked out last time, I could feel that Dan said no to me because he wanted to treat other guests well without any compromise. Then let’s talk about the dishes. I would say this is the best dining experience in my journey in Australia. You read menu, but you never know how they taste. It is beyond your imagination. Strongly suggest to come and experience by yourself. Like the comment below by Dan, he would appreciate your constructive feedback. I think that’s because they treat the food and costumers well. It’s not arrogant. It’s just being honest. Experience this by yourself and you will know what I mean.

We had a great meal dining at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We also stayed at the guest sweets which were warm, inviting and we'll decked out. Looking forward to going back

We absolutely loved our experience at Terroir, and cannot recommend both staying and dining here highly enough. From the warm and welcoming host, to an inventive and delicious vegetarian friendly tasting menu, to the rustic rooms complete with cosy pot belly fire and relaxing bath tub, Terroir had everything we needed after a long, cold winter's day on the Reisling Trail. Thank you for making our anniversary trip so special!

Friendly and attentive service, delicious food (the lamb pie was a favourite 🤤), and a comfortable stay too. Couldn't fault a thing. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway in the Clare Valley.

Absolutely wonderful experience! From welcoming, friendly yet professional service to the amazing food we could not fault a single thing. The plating of every dish was exquisite, clearly showing the chef’s artistry, passion, skilful technique and attention to detail in the kitchen. Each course was perfectly timed, balanced in flavours and featured the freshest of ingredients. At $75 for 4 courses this was great value. Thank you team Terroir!
