Absolutely the BESTcannoli I have had just like nonna made them worth the drive there ..well done guys..auguri e complimentiššš
I canāt express enough most definitely the best I have ever had canāt wait for the residents of Villa Del Sole to try the cannoli cake ļæ½ļæ½
Friendly Siciliani who even threw in a caffe latte while I waited for my order. Great cannoli and awesome music creating a truly authentic experience!
Nice place to relax with a beautiful cannolo with ricotta and a cup of coffee!!!!
Delicious coffee and cannoli ļæ½ļæ½ friendly staff, the little gem of Avondale heights.
The best canolli Iāve ever eaten ļæ½ļæ½
The cannoli are great. So crunchy with a tasty custard inside. The almond biscotti are nice also. Good luck
Great coffee and absolutely incredible cannoli. The pistachio cannoli was delicious! Canāt wait to come back and try more!!
Authentic Cannoli! Best I've ever had... doesn't get any fresher than theseļæ½
Great classic home made cannoli, pistacchio filling is to dye for, grazie Carlo
Simply amazing cannoli and other sweets. Great atmosphere
Best Cannoli in Melbourne.
Must try!
excellent Service, Fanstastic Coffee!!
When you walk through the doors of Cannoli Bar, it feels like youāre transported to a small bar in Italy.
The first thing youāll notice is the aromatic scent of coffee that fills the bar as youāre greeted by friendly owner, Carlo.
The display is filled with some impressive and unique flavours of cannoli, from lemon meringue, to Tim tam, to ricotta topped with pistachio.
My favourite flavour however is ferrero rocher. It never fails to hit the spot.
The coffee here is just superb too - perfect extractions with crema every time.
A hidden gem of the north west.
Came here a few weekends ago, the cannoli's were awesome although pretty steep pricing ($6-7 each).
Yummo!! Great range and everything Iāve tried has been great!!
Cannot fault this place at all. I have tried several cannoli places around melbourne and cannoli bar is by far the best Iāve ever had. The shell is super crispy and the filling is not overly sweet.
Their potato mortadella pizza was also one of the best pizzas Iāve ever tasted. Very authentic which is what I love about this place and is very rare to come by.
Cannoli bar satisfies my crispy cravings every single time!
This place is one of my favourite places for a weekend lunch date, the desserts are to die for, cannot fault them, the pizza is just amazing and very friendly service, my only complaint is that the variety of pasta they have available is very over priced for the portion size.
Tried the pistachio and bueno Cannoli after hearing stellar reviews of this place and was not disappointed. I donāt even particularly like cannolis and had never been one to seek them but my god this was the first time Iāve ever craved cannolis and to think itās a little gem hidden within the streets of Avondale heights itās pretty awesome and gives it that exclusivity !

We tried out this old famous cannoli place in Avondale Heights. Surprisingly busy in residential area and their cannoli does live up to the standards. Cruchy cannoli shells filled with nice ricotta, sweet custard and pistachio sprinkles is out favourite.
Cannoli are one of those Italian treats, that when done right, are truly fantastic. The team at Cannoli Bar, in an unassuming back street of Avondale Heights; really have mastered the art of this perfect pastry. In a cute, little shop with a cosy ambience, cannolis are churned out to satisfied patrons day after day. You can dine in at the comfortable tables, but we chose to grab a box to go, so that we could share with the kids.
A perfectly crispy outer shell houses a wide variety of traditional and fun flavoured fillings. We chose the pistachio as sometimes simple is best; as well as Oreo, Tim Tam and Bueno varieties. Each had a beautiful creamy filling. The ricotta was so smooth, and the additional flavours were subtle enough not to take away from the shell. The toppings all looked cool, and added that aesthetic appeal and a bit of extra texture.
We loved each one of these tempting treats, and were thrilled that they weren't too sweet. Cannoli Bar is proof that you can fill a niche market with a single item, if you do that item well. The full cafe, and line ups for takeaway are certainly a great indication of how good these cannoli really are.
Lovely service. Bueno cannoli tasted amazing. Cookies and cream cannoli was fantastic. The shell texture was crunchy but not too hard. Wasnt a fan of the hot chocolate though because it was more bitter than sweet
We loved š
This place brought me back to Italy! The cannoli here was fresh and the cream was delicious. I would recommend the pistachio flavoured one.
Cute little family business in the suburbs.
We disliked š
More of a take away store because there arenāt many seats.
Great little hidden gem, these morsels do pack a punch!
We had the classic ricotta one and it did hit the spot.
Service was great, and we loved the decor.
Looking forward to come back!
You want to know how good this place is? I watched the waitresses bring out boxes of cannoli to customers who knew what they were doing. Being rookies, we ordered 2. I felt like I popped by my (fantasy) Italian nonna's place (it had a nice cozy vibe with lemons being used to hold napkins down) and she had just gone crazy and made too many canoli, pizza, biscuits and pastries! The canoli is the real deal. I am not Italian but I've tasted a few. Sometimes you eat something and you think 'this is how it's supposed to be.' We had that moment today. Thank you.
Busy litres place located in the back streets of Avondale Heights. We discovered this place through friends. We ordered Classico Cannoli and Gold Custard with chocolate. The Classico was nicer than the Gold Custard. Great experience would try again.
What a great place! I had a great experience at Cannoli Bar. I tried the classic Ricotta Cannolo which was beautiful and crunchy, with a coffee that reminded me of being in Italy. The arancino just requires more saffron in the rice. I cannot seem to find any arancini like those in Italy. The filling was super tasty, however the rice needs that saffron to be 10/10.
Otherwise, fantastic place. I enjoyed playing Italian cards like in my childhood!
This local gem serves up delicious fresh cannoli made to order. Flavours include pistachio, ricotta and nutella but flavours alternate throughout the week. After seeing these little scrolls of heaven all over Snapchat, we mapped our way to this hidden gem and found ourselves amongst a crowd of people waiting eagerly for their cannolis to be made. I canāt even tell you my favourite because they were all so good! The pastry was crisp and sweet and the filling was light and resembled the flavours without being overpowering. Such a great hidden gem!
I am so glad that Cannoli Bar has replaced what was a joke of a milk bar business. It has transformed the suburb! Their cannolis have to be award winning - they are the most magical things you will ever taste.....crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, well balanced sweet and savoury flavours.....is there a rating higher than 5/5??!!
Just came to reiterate what the majority are saying: This place is really really good. Friendly staff, easy parking, tucked away --- but most importantly VERY yum cannolis. I didn't even know how much I liked Cannolis // always thought they were overrated, but now I'm a huge fan. F^*^ Me they're good!
Really nice spot to stop for a coffee and cannoli or a light lunch. The cannolis are amazing and have such great flavours - definitely recommend the Tim Tam cannoli. The customer service was also really great and the staff are super friendly, will definitely be back!
Woo we! What an unexpected gem!
Absolutely loved the whole concept of this shop, authentic flavours fresh ingredients and great hospitality. Highly recommended
So unassuming, somewhat hidden.. my husband found this place and I will be forever grateful. Coffee is amazing as are the cannoli. The other pastries are pretty damn good too. Can't wait to go back. Also I saw some people having pasta, no idea they did lunch too, will have to try next time.
really great food, good coffee, staff were more than accomodatingonly hassel was parking as its in a narrow street but the experience was well worth t5hat little inconvenience.
I have really wanted to visit Cannoli Bar since it first opened however itās a bit far away from my house, so I was stoked when a work college who lives in Avondale Heights brought a box into the office.
Iām a huge cannoli fan and constantly searching for places that have cannolis with the traditional ricotta filling. I had the pistachio & traditional ricotta and they were amazing!!! The ricotta was so light & fluffy and the shell was beautifully crispy.
I donāt know if any other cannolis in Melbourne will live up to the ones from here. You must try!!!
Come for the cannolis, not the service from the female barista.
I was served by a really friendly & helpful male staff, and chose 6 cannolis to take home for the fam. We loved them all & look forward to dropping by again to pick up some more the next time weāre in the west.
Unfortunately, the only bad experience I had was when I received my box, I opened it to hopefully take a photo to show my daughterās what I was bringing home, the female barista just stared at me with this cold look on her face that would clearly crack had she attempted a warm friendly smile.
* You may think your lost in between suburban houses but you will come to the end of the rainbow with a pot of gold at the end.
* Loved the simplicity, this place needs a bigger home for the amount of foot traffic as it has already outgrown this shop front.
* Donāt stress they now have credit card facilities.
Iām not sure what I was expecting but it felt good homely and very welcoming. I definitely new what I was going to eat and that one thing was absolutely delicious. Hello Cannoli you just burst the doughnut bubble and gave us something excitingly new.
I loved the different combinations and for most living outside of Avondale heights you simply canāt just have one after you have travelled the distance. First time customer and you have to always opt for the traditional as thatās how you gage if itās good or great. Then you add a Nutella to the mix and then you get all fancy and you try a lemon meringue and then you say welcome to Cannoli heaven. If you are not a fan donāt worry they have other things that may tickle your fancy.
The service was very friendly and the owners really know how to make customers happy. Itās exciting walking in and feeling how proud they are of their accomplishment. I hope hard work pays off, this is a place I would love to come back to time and time again. P.s if you need these beauties at your next function I witnessed several of customers walking out with Boxās.
Just a pre warning if you have had a blow-wave the cafe is small and I did leave smelling a tad oily. So grab a seat outside if you need to go out after and donāt fancy food as perfume.
Thought about something spontaneous on this sunny Sunday afternoon. Have wanted to try a cannoli from Cannoli Bar in Avondale Heights for some time. Well worth the drive!!! A very close second to the one in Taormina. Thank you Carlo and his family for making us feel so welcome. āļø coffee also excellent. The music was so enjoyable. Meraviglioso! Grazie!
Whaoo! I'm stupefied! Extremely well balance pastry! Almost imperceptible taste of fry oil. Actually the oil give some moisture to this beatiful vegan pastry. Well done! Perfect crunchiness. I dived the cannoli with my housemate I just cut it trought with a serated knife extremely easy didn't crumble at all.
The originality of the cream! Almond milk and flour. Simple, tasty and healty.
10/10
I heard about this place weeks before I went and I canāt believe I waited so long to try it. Their Cannoliās are the best I have had in Melbourne. Super fresh, crispy and down right delicious. I have already been back, and will continue to return. I canāt get enough
Bedding sicilia !. I almost feel at home in here. Even the furniture is like sitting in a side street of a local pasticceria in Palermo. The cannoli are well made and typical sicilian delicacies unavailable almost anywhere else in Melbourne are available. For those that havenāt been and particularly sicilians and Italians must try this place and whilst you are there think of being back in Sicily
I only came here for the cannoli and im glad i did. I had the salted caramel cannoli, it was larger than expected. The cannoli pastry was delicious,Ā i loved that the inside was lined with chocolate then, it was completely filled with ricotta and caramel.Ā The coffee could be better it's old school coffico.
rate 4.5
visited here on a not so busy Sunday afternoon to get their famous cannolis and coffee to accompany.
ORDERED:
almond cannoli $4.5
"iddu" cannoli with sheep milks ricotta $8
chai latte $4
latteĀ
pizza $6
and what looks like a Quesadilla? $8
food: Excellent cannolis! crispy shell and beautiful creamy filling, although i personally thought the iddu was a bit on the expensive side having a sheep's milk ricotta is very unique to the restaurant scene. There was a noticeably lighter but also creamier essence to the sheep's ricotta. I loved how the chocolate chips and pistachio embedded on both sides of the iddu cannoli gave great texture. Almond cannoli, although they used normal cows milk ricotta for this i didn't find a big of a difference although I do consider that sheeps milk is a little bit more creamier and lighter but i don't think that tiny difference is worth an extra $3.5. I would actually look forward to more traditional flavours from 'Cannoli Bar' don't get me wrong i love their modern twist on traditional Cannolis but seeing the simple orange zest ricotta would be great! I definitely think T Cavallaro and Sons in Footscray serve more traditional cannolis with more simplistic flavour profiles but if you want more "funk" on your cannolis 100% give 'Cannoli Bar' a shot. Their breverages were nothing special, nothing unique but I would recommend putting a sugar jar for coffee on every table not only two. I took the eggplant and mushroom pizza to go and it didn't really taste that good the "pizza dough" wasn't really soft but it was on the tough side instead and for a small pizza it was $6. I didn't know what this one was called but it looks like a Quesadilla? But it tasted a little better than the pizza and the size was a little more reasonable as well, i loved the inclusion of spring onions, ricotta cheese, tomato and ham it literally made a flavour explosion in my mouth.Ā
service: Very good!! Attentive, nice and friendly.
One hour before closing time, there was still a never-ending stream of customers coming through Cannoli Bar. That itself shows how popular Cannoli Bar is, and gives you an idea of the deliciousness that lies within
I can rave on and on about how awesome the cannolis are but I strongly suggest you just go and try them yourself. These crispy treats when paired with the excellent coffee here is just heavenly. The fillings are light yet creamy, not too sweet and the flavours are spot on.
It's not just the cannoli that is the star here. The arancini was amazing, and so was the almond danish and doughnuts. Looking at the other customers enjoying their slices of pizza, I'm guessing those are worth returning for too.
Service here was excellent, and despite the crowds waiting for their freshly filled cannoli, the wait time was very reasonable. When taking my order, the guy behind the counter joked "You're trying a bit of everything here. There's nothing else to entice you to return". He's very wrong; I'm definitely returning because how could I not when everything that I tried were that incredible?
Cute milk bar converted into a cafe and cannoli bar, wide variety of cannoli and other desserts too choose from, great coffee. Great idea. One to remember for a quick dessert location and takeaway, perfect little gift boxes if you need to bring dessert to an occasion.?
Fantastic cannoli, best I have had! Crisp, gorgeous shell with lovely filling which is flavoursome and sweet but not overly rich.Ā
About 10 different flavours when I was there including tiramisu, almond, berry cheesecake, Sicilian gold, Amarena cherry, nutella and pistachio. Also has various biscuits, sweets and pies, plus several savoury options.
Very busy both times I have been, with all seats taken and queue out the front door. Friendly staff and nice laid-back atmosphere.
Holy Cannoli ! Hands down these have to be the Best Cannoliās in town š @cannolibar This little slice of Sicily Cannoli bar serves up the most delicious and freshest cannoli you will ever have!
Cannoli Bar is a family run business that specialises in traditional Sicilian cannoli and if your anything like me you will try all three of their delicious flavours which include Classico, Nutella and pistachio.
Please note they only accept cash at this stage.
Wed-Fri 8am-3pm
Sat-Sun 8am-4pm
23 Riviera Road, Avondale heights
The line outside didnāt deter me and Iām so glad I waited. Probably the best cannoli in the north west. The pistachio was my favourite closely followed by the Oreo. The cannoli are piped fresh so the pastry is crispy while the inside is smooth and delicious. Well worth the wait and will be back.
An incredible cafe with incredible people who are passionate in the food they sell and to ensure that each customer leaves with a smile. I had such an amazing experience there today that lifted my heart. Canolis are to die for and would 100% recommend this cafe to everyone!Ā
I will definitely be back soon.
I drove all the way from Richmond and stopped by on the way to my friends house further away. This place has a home feel in a suburban street. After staring at the choices for a while I got a couple of cannolis and proceeded to pay. The lady said it was cash only. I didnāt know what to do, I wanted to go find an ATM. The lady behind the counter was soo nice I was taken aback. She said come back another day and pay its okay, I trust you! Wow in 2018! I will be back to pay but also to try more desserts! The cannolis and donut thing was soo good. Probably as good as the ones in Italy. Light creamy right amount of sweetness and crunch!
Holy Cannoli! A secret cannoli bar is here in the north...well I thought it was a secret until I saw the place packed on the first weekend. Hidden in Avondale heights. With 3 main cannoli flavours, Nutella, original and pistachio they are definitely to die for. The wait is worth it as they are freshly filled. Been back 2 weeks in a row!
Small cafe in a residential area. Excellent coffee, we tried the pistachio cannoli & vanilla cannoli. Both were very fresh & tasty, with a delicious crisp, thin shell, $4.50 each. There is also an assortment of Italian biscuits, custard filled donuts & a cake on offer. My only criticism- music was quite loud & at one point myself & another customer were left waiting at the counter while staff were having a discussion at the sink. 4.5 stars
This newly opened Cannoli bar is taking the north west of Melbourne by storm. And rightly so. A family run business they make their rustic Cannoli shells and fill them to order. Pistachio? Oreo? Tiramisu? Theyāve got it. A very nice sweet treat in the form of this delicious Sicilian delicacy.
They also have savoury food like pizza and other sweets as well.
Saturday morning was bustling at this place! We waited for about 15 mins for our Classico & pistachio cannoli as well as our coffee. The cannolis are fresh, crunchy, creamy and perfectly sweet at the same time! š
Will be back to try their other flavours!
This place is awesome! Waited in line for 15-20 minutes and fortunately managed to get a seat once we ordered. The coffee was good and the cannoli were the freshest cannoli Iāve had in Melbourne. Still warm a little when we got them. Worth the drive! Will be back
I took my husband here because he had never tried cannoli before and I wanted him to have a good experience. We were blown away by the cannoli, you can smell the deliciousness from down the street. Our favorite was the pistachio! We will definitely be back :)
Beautiful cannoli but really overpriced!
Original flavors $6 each
Special flavors $7 each
There is no competition in the area. When they opened 3 years ago prices were $4.5 for original which was very reasonable.
Bought the cannoli for a special occasion
Omg, I've never had such a foodgasm in my mouth. Not that I have had that much experience in cannolis but this will be what I hold the others up to from now.
Not only that, they serve good looking table food and their coffee is pretty damn good.
I was thrown off as you travel through residential streets to get there, you think you have taken a wrong turn or the address is wrong. But boom, there it is, clearly signed and bustling with people. It adds to that overall, almost family type feel to it. Absolutely perfect.
If you're in the area please do yourself a favour and pop into Cannoli Bar!
The cannoli's are fresh and made to order.
Perfect with a cup of coffee
Cannoli Tastes just like Italy.
Coffee is a bit Melbourne (acidic to me). Would have loved a more Italian blend. But Iāll be back again and again!
The best cannoliās in all of Melbourne!! My partner and I absolutely love visiting this place. Everyone is so friendly and the food (pastries, homemade pizzaās, baked goods) are just too good.
Love this place!! So close to where I grew up, visiting family and we had to check this place out. Wasn't disappointed. Cannoli amazing, food amazing, the decor amazing and the staff all look like they love their job. What a great concept turning this old Milk Bar into a cannoli bar.
3pm in the arvo and people still lining up out the door.
Well done everyone!!
The vegani cannoli was one of the best things I have eaten!! Thank you for putting out a vegan option (and it's incredible!)
It was a pistachio custard flavour.
If you're in the area give this a go!
Just ask the staff if they have it as it wasn't in the display fridge when I went š
