Went to mama morocco tonight with my wife for our anniversary,the restaurant was highly recommended by our Moroccan friends and it didn't disappoint us at all . The food is fantastic and the service can not be faulted.lovely atmosphere with soft Moroccan music in the background.we would highly recommend this great establishment in the heart of Carlisle st St kilda East .thank you Mamma Morocco for a great dinner ,we will be back soon.
amazing food and friendly staff. Oxtail and Fish dishes are to die for, they are so so so yummy and also try out the donut with coffee for dessert as well. It's simply the best moroccan restaurant that i've been to
Love the food. Nice atmosphere. We had 3 courses and they were all very special and tasty. Definitely recommend trying. The location is also great, right across from the train station.

We dined there a week ago, the food was beautiful and tomorrow we will be dining there again with our friends . Great authentic flavours , nice vibe , and oh, dont forget to order the banana and chocolate cigars for desert.
Mama Morocco is a family run restaurant that focuses on offering traditional, home-style Moroccan cuisine and hospitality to those who walk through its doors. Enter, and you’re greeted with a simple, small space – white walls and wooden tables, with a assortment of Moroccan trinkets dotted throughout.
Overall it was a highly enjoyable meal with some spectacular dishes. The dips here, were simply unbeatable as were the ox tails. I even gained a renewed appreciation for olives - something I, and many others usually don’t care much for.
This was an eye-opening, and definitely memorable meal and definitely left me full, yet craving for more.
I am extremely thankful to have been invited to try Mama Morocco’s authentic, home-cooked recipes and there’s no doubt that I will be back for more. Very soon.

Really lovely meal at Mama Morocco on 11/09/16, the food was fantastic, definitely the best morrocan meal we've had. Really good value for money and the service was great too. Will definitely be going back!

Mama Morocco is relatively new to the Carlisle Street food scene, and the restaurant has a small, cosy feel to it, accentuated by striking, authentic light fixtures. It’s a narrow building, and walking past the kitchen down the side of the restaurant will bring you to a charming little courtyard surrounded by greenery and timber lattices, illuminated by string lights.
So delicious! Atmosphere was nice, to be honest was not expecting the food to be as nice as it was, so was pleasantly surprised! Will definitely go back again!

I'm normally dubious about group dinners where i don't get to order for myself. Someone else at the group table did the ordering but I was totally blown away by the tastes and flavours or Mama Morocco. I have not had Moroccan food this good in Melbourne. The bar has been raised for the simple entre of dips and pita. I shared 5 mains between the group. The Salmon was the gold star dish in a field of stand outs.
The food here was absolutely excellent! I highly recommend this family business - traditional recipes and friendly service.
