Delicious Japanese food with very friendly staff! The only place I go to for Japanese food/sushi in the Northern Beaches
Literally the best Japanese food ever. Reasonably priced and delicious!!! Udon noodles are a go to and sushi is very fresh and high quality!!

My favourite Japanese restaurant in Sydney! Have been going here for years. The Chicken Katsu roll, Grilled Salmon Lover roll, Cooked Tuna roll are a must! Tempura Udon is also really good. Staff are nice and friendly and I always feel like I am back in Japan when eating here. Only bad comment I have to unfortunately make is that when they are busy the service can be slow.
Tama Gawa is one of our favourite weekend lunch places. Always delicious and authentic Japanese, this quirky hole-in-the-wall place offers much more than sushi (which occupies a smaller part of the menu, anyway). Green tea soba is fabulous. Can't beat the value for money, too - a light but filling lunch for two can easily fit below $30.

Best Japanese in Sydney. This hidden gem of a restaurant is by far my favourite place to get authentic Japanese food. I used to live nearby and would visit regularly with friends up to once a week and now still make the 45 minute drive just to get my fix. My favourite thing to order here is the curry udon (never been able to find an equal for it and believe me, I've looked!) Rich, hearty soup filled with meltingly tender meat and silky udon noodles - it's impossible to not burn yourself from delicious impatience! Their sushi is also beautifully fresh and great quality, can't go wrong with their ramen or agedashi tofu either. But do yourself a favour and try the curry udon!
This is hands down the best japanese restaurant I have experienced in sydney from the great quality food to the smiling friendly service staff and very affordable prices I highly recomend tamagawa my favorite dishes are the salmon delux sushi, spider roll (soft shell crab) and the tempura veggies are just a few I have been eating here around 6 months and have never been disappointed I regard this restaurant highly as 5 star quality food at very affordable prices well done tamagawa !
Hands down the best Japanese food on the Northern Beaches. I go here all the time whether it be dining in or getting take away. The best!!!
