Ok pies (meaning they fill your stomach) - somewhat bland and dry BUT the pie crust is far too soft as if they microwave them before putting them in the warmer. Worst bakery in Aus. Quality of staff is even more pathetic than the 'food'. Nothing is baked on site, yet they carry on as if they invented the pie. Quite impressed with the pies here. I've tried the Thai chicken and vegan bolognese. Both had really tasty fillings and the pastry was light and flakey. Also ordered a salad roll which was very generously filled.

Worth a detour off the Western Highway and a much better option than McDonald's or Roadhouse food. Good local pie with great service.

I always enjoy a good country bakery until now, I have been to this bakery twice now and at least the disappointment was consistent. Never have I had such aweful sausage rolls in my life. Dry, hard and unable to eat. Disappointing for ballan, hopefully a real bakery opens up as the town deserves it
