This was a great meal. It has a stellar reputation and it really does deserve it. The food was very high quality and tasted absolutely divine. They were obviously short staffed in terms of serving staff when we visited with only two on the floor of the restaurant and yet their service was quick and responsive, way better than most restaurants who have many more staff. Do come and enjoy a wonderful meal.

We visited The Barrelroom Restaurant at Ballandean Estate Wines for dinner on a Saturday evening. It was easy to make a booking on the website, and I would highly recommend doing so if you plan to visit on the weekend. The service was good, and so was the food. We ordered a range of dishes, and loved all of them. The favourites probably were the mushroom soup, the sand crab fettuccine, goat ragu and and lamb two ways. A slight complaint would be the dirty glassware as all of our glasses had marks on them. Replacing some of the them didn't resolve the issue either. This would be okay at certain venues, but one has slightly higher expectations from a winery. Other than this, we had a great experience dining here. The staff were very friendly in answering all our questions about the winery as well as make wine and food recommendations.

One of the best meals I have had in a long time! The team were so accommodating with my dietary restrictions. While I was disappointed that the porchetta had run out by the time we ordered the lamb dish I ended up having was superb. My wife loved her quail main. The service was extremely professional with a wonderful personal and friendly touch. To top it off, the wines we had on recommendation were so good we immediately went and bought some to take home. Our only complaint was that the restaurant is 4 hours drive from our place so we can't just 'pop in'. Can't wait to return.

We ordered a lamb and a seafood dish and both of them are delicious. The service is good too.

Great food and wine along with a lovely ambience. This was our first time dining here and it didn’t disappoint. With a delicious duck breast perfectly cooked and a beautiful seafood pasta leaving you wanting more. We look forward to our next visit. Yum.

Shared an Antipasto plate for lunch with a glass of their wine. Food and wine were excellent. Atmosphere in the new room was wonderful and Leeann was an excellent host. Strong recommend if you’re in the area.

This is worth coming to when you’re in Stanthorpe. We just had their handmade seafood fettuccine and the confit duck maryland but you can somehow taste the passion and dedication of the hands of the one who cooked them. No second thoughts or regrets on spending that much for the quality of confetti in your mouth (even though we’re only treated to that dine). It really makes you pour their award-winning wine more. We’d surely come back if we get by the place again.

Awesome restaurant! Firstly, Ballandean wine is really great and there is only a limited mark up on these wines on the Barrelroom Restaurant menu. We choose the Merlot, which has to be one of the best examples of this type. For entree both myself and my partner had the mushroom soup, which was really exceptional. We also had the freshly made sour dough, which was also great. For mains, we had the prawn tagliatelle and the mushroom tortellini. Both were exceptional and come recommended. For dessert we had the Panna Cotta, which was also great. This has to be the best restaurant in the region!
