Review Grill'd - Ballarat

The restaurant inside is very welcoming, with attention to detail, and contextualised with the history of the place itself. The soft-seated and tables were clean and adequately lit. I'm not crazy about junk food but I must say that the quality seemed rather appreciable, especially when compared to other fast food restaurants.

Grill'd Ballarat is always a good time! Friendly service and good food! I always order the same every time and it's always perfect, no matter if it's takeaway or dine in (superpower salad and zucchini chips for one)! Highly recommend!

Grill'd is a burger joint. It's a fast-food restaurant but it's pretty hard to find flaws. The food quality is great, the options are varied (thanks for the vegan choices!), and the service is welcoming and helpful. Go here for a pretty simple and casual burger dining experience.

I've been here a few times now, the burger are great and big enough for a meal, though the share plate of chips is really hard not to get, so good. Sometimes the chicken burgers can be a little dry but the beef ones are always good.

As an avid member of Grill'd, I was very impressed with the service here! Burgers and chips came out quickly, staff were friendly and the store has a lovely rustic atmosphere.

First time to a "Grill'd". It was okay but nothing more. Burger was okay but messy to eat without cutlery. Chips were just chips. Had to go ask to figure out how to order but had two visits to the table to ask how everything was during the meal. Just a burger place really except maybe a bit more expensive than some others.

Had the HFC blat burgers and zucchini chips. All was delicious but both burgers had no bacon in them so that was annoying and disappointing. I realised that my last one also didn’t have bacon in it so I think maybe someone at the store doesn’t realise it’s meant to come with bacon. Would be 5 stars if order was correct, was tasty but disappointed to have missed items.

Gluten free range is amazing and the food is absolutely great!!!

Delicious burgers, good for a quick bite. Good fast food option. Always fresh. Lovely service. Food is quick to come out. Good to dine in or take away.

All time favourite burger place. Have visited almost every branch in Victoria! Love the crispy bacon and cheese on a gf bun and the chips are amazing. Always friendly service and I've rarely had a problem in over a decade of visiting various Grill'd restaurants. Serves are generous and good value. You can't beat a Grill'd burger. Funky atmosphere too.

Staff were friendly. Haven't been to Grill'd in a few years, so thought we'd try again. Burgers and chips were tasty. I feel like the burgers have down sized.<br/>Nice enough to eat but a tad overpriced for what you get.

Most places that were open at 9pm on a Saturday were $25 a dish! Where do the locals eat? There were quite a few chains, one of which was Grill'd, lets go there! I know that we didn't go all this way to eat at a chain, but Grill'd is always good (we have one on main street in town) and there were things on our to try list.

I love grill'd - Have only ordered take away from the Ballarat Shop but it was perfect. Will be going back to dine-in - such a nice modern place.

Usually my experiences here are pretty good, but tonight was awful. It was slightly busier than usual. Our burgers came out with the wrong buns, and the chip trio came out almost cold. The sweet potato chips were burnt black. Not overly impressed.

Went to grilld here tonight for a quick burger takeaway. Service was very attentive and my burger was ready promptly. I ordered the zen hen with a low calorie bun, it was delicious (as always), however I struggled to eat it without juice flowing into my hands - this is the only downside I can think of!

I've been to a few Grill'd restaurants. From my own experience the consistency has been pretty spot on. The only difference here is the really big waiting area for people getting takeaway. Not the cheapest burgers in town, but some of the best. I'm also pretty anti-Grill'd fries. I hate the seasoning they put on them, strange flavour but some of my friends love it so it's a matter of personal preference.

Service is terrible.<br/>They do not serve water to your table. You have to request water and then they only bring out a warm glass full straight from the kitchen tap and do not replenish. Water should be something that's always served at a table either in bottles or a place for customers to serve themselves.<br/><br/>Burgers are nice but price can be steep for a burger type meal. The zucchini chips were disappointing and did not taste like zucchini at all but just deep fried batter.

Charred. Worst burger dining experience i have had in a long time, the Zucchini chips were burnt the staff had no idea and the ingredients were of poor standard! The cost of the food most certainly did not match the final product!

Negative atmosphere. What ruined our visit was the vibe we got from the staff. It was busy but they all seemed sad and quite frankly I'm not suprised. It was a bit upsetting to see the manager speaking to the staff like they were nothing. One girl was told off in front of us. The food is predictably good. But the negative vibes are not consistent with their up beat marketing.

My husband and I go to grilled often as the food is great ,the only thing that lets the place down is lack of training of staff and cleanliness every time we go the tables and seats r dirty we have to wipe them and the staff don't bring cutlery with meals so which means we have to go in search of staff to get cutlery, this is not just once this is everything time , and lastly we went there last night food was great ,then we got a knife out of the bucket on table and it had been used an put back and no servietts very ordinary which lets the place down it's a shame as. the staff are often asking if everything is ok ,sadly it letsthe place down ..

Nice burgers, not so nice chips. Good friendly service but really expensive for what you receive. I would prefer the value of the Burger Company burgers and chips now after having tried Grill'd

My burger was raw. I ordered the almighty burger and my beef pattie was raw in the middle so I told the waiter and he said well take your chips off and took my burger away . 2 mins later wow a new burger well a new bun and my old pattie which had been microwaved as it was cut in half like my first pattie was . Absolutely terrible. We spent $70 on 3 hamburgers and 3 drinks

LOVED IT!!!. We had such a great night at Grill'd Ballarat on 11/10 for a group dinner with my family. The staff were really friendly and accommodating - my brother has allergies, and this was all handled so well. Our burgers were absolutely amazing, so delicious and fresh and the atmosphere was really lively and upbeat! Will definitely be coming again - so great for Ballarat to have such a great place to eat!

Excellent. I've dined at Grill'd in Melbourne and having dined at the Sturt St. restaurant several times I can safely say the quality at the Ballarat restaurant is identical.<br/><br/>The burgers have been superb, served hot and freshly cooked with high quality ingredients and well constructed. The herbed chips likewise have been hot and very crispy, the only mild criticism I could think of was that one serve was slightly under-salted for my tastes.<br/><br/>The service has been excellent, during one visit our order was mistakenly taken as a take-away order and we waited for some time before w realised something was amiss. When we politely raised the issue with staff our order was cooked fresh and fast tracked so it was with us in no more than five minutes. We also received several free burger vouchers and free drinks by way of apology. An excellent response to a relatively minor service fault.<br/><br/>I can't recommend Grill'd enough, easily the best burgers in Ballarat and contrary to what some reviewers are saying far from overpriced, not even the most expensive burgers in the city.

Terrible Customer Service. I went to the Ballarat restaurant and was served by a man in his 40's that was rude and never smiled or looked friendly whatsoever, on top of that I had to wait 20 minutes for my burger that had been sitting in a take away bag on the bench for 5 minutes and the only staff member that was working at the time was the same man from before and he walked past it 3 times. I will certainly not be dining here again! this restaurant had the poorest example of customer service I have every experienced in Ballarat.

Fantastic tasty burgers. Thankyou to the staff for a wonderful evening, firstly for accommodating our booking of 8, and getting the meals out quickly for a couple of guests who needed to leave early. Everyone enjoyed their burgers and the chunky chips were extra tasty. I had the Almighty (I think it was called) and was impressed. <br/><br/>The only thing I could suggest is a few desert items such as apple pie, chocolate mousse and stick date pudding. The place is noisy, but adds to the atmosphere. <br/><br/>keep up the excellent service and food.

Expensive. Cold burgers and chips plus bogans everywhere yay
