Review Country Roasts - Ballarat

RR
For what you pay, the servings are small and the quality is very hit and miss. Was really looking forward to my scalloped potatoes, until I was given this watery mess. I didn’t see a person working in the store who looked over the age of 20. My can of soft drink was also flat. You can get better in Ballarat. More competition around now, so hopefully this place lifts their game.

Great tasting and tender meats. The roasted beef was especially tender and moist. The roasted pork was a tad dry. The gravy was a bit too salty. The baked cauliflour was overdone and somewhat mushy. The scalloped potatoes and the roasted pumpkin were perfectly done and was very yummy. Staff were friendly and efficient.

And I go to this place all the time The Lamb is to die for. Nice with meals or even a roll with gravy. Yummy.

Was happy this time, the vegie pack not worth what you pay for it $7 for a piece of pumpkin and2 spoonful of scallop potatoes, but the roast spuds were delicious.

Went there today. Ordered 2 roast pork rolls. They must have ran out of crackle because we got none and weren’t offered any. There was clearly rashers on gravy too as that was barely there also. Would have been nice if the girl that served us even pretended to like her job!!

On a long drive , thought we'd stop. So glad to find a real meal instead of greasy takeaway Unfortunately we didn't get to try it . Stood there for 15 minutes, two people serving, only one man and a kid who had already ordered. I don't mind waiting if you're busy but if you aren't even going to acknowledge my presence with a "hi" or a "won't be long" then I can't be bothered to give you my money. Such a shame cause it smelt real good. Went up the road to The Burger Bar who were so professional and welcoming.

Every time I'm in Ballarat I try to go to Country Roasts. I find the service to be great and the meals excellent. A small serve is ample as the large size meal is way to much for me. Well done

Dropped in on the way home from work. Very friendly staff and quick to take order. Roast lamb roll chips and a drink for $12 great value. Good to see they cook the chips to order so no roll of the dice with how old they are. Bread was fresh and roll was loaded. So impressed I took the kids back Sunday now there raving about how good it is. Keep up the great work guys!!! AAA+++

One of my favourite eating places. Good variety of meals for lunch on the run or evening dinners. Service is always great from all staff especially Justin and Angie.

Asked for no gravy and the woman accidentally put gravy on it, saying it was only a little bit. Got it home and it was covered in gravy. Complained and didn't even get an apology. Partner enjoyed it though as he was the only one that ended up eating it.

The food is ok but make sure you get what you ask for and for some reason they charge extra for scalloped potatoes while their competition in Sebas don't.
