Review Ballarat Wholefoods Cafe - Ballarat

Chandi Dinayadura
Healthy and yet tasty brunch. Great coffee and well sized potions on all meals. If your not sure ask the friendly waiters and they are quite happy to assist you. Nice and clean little store, if the waters good, catch a table outside and enjoy watching one of the busiest streets in Ballarat.

Beautiful Food, lovely service and a fantastic place to brunch whether you have dietary requirements or not - so glad to have a nice place to eat with coeliac friends!

Came in looking for organic food and bulletproof coffee. I wasn't disappointed. Really happy with the flavours, especially in the slow poached pork sausage!

My friend and I ate lunch here 2 days in a row, as we enjoyed the food so much the first time. The young staff were delightful, and we had a chat to the lovely chef as well. The food was beautifully presented and delicious, particularly the smashed minted pea, goat's cheese, pumpkin and poached egg dish. Even the tap water was wonderful, as it was infused with cucumber, mint and orange. Loose leaf tea, made properly in a pot, finished off the meal. Highly recommended.

One of the most awkward experiences of my life. I was very keen and excited to try out this wholefoods cafe as I had heard excellent things about it. The food was delicious but unfortunately the service was very poor. When I first walked in I was not greeted by any of the staff and was expecting to be seated by one of the waiters. This was not the case as I stood near the counter for several minutes and I was still not greeted. I decided to take my own seat as I was unsure if this is how the cafe worked. I then waited at the table for around 10 minutes before one of the waiters came over with a menu. Unfortunately I was expecting more friendly and welcoming staff, especially as it was not busy. I don’t think I will be going back.

It's got some good items on the menu and I have had some great meals there. The consistency is unfortunately not there as they have different chefs and some are great and others are average. It's in a good location on the main road and the service is pay first and sit down. When they good chef is on the meals are fantastic but most times the average chef is on and the meals are average.

Had a delicious cob salad and the freshly squeezed juice was refreshing. Banana pancakes were a little dry and the coffee wasn't the best I have had. Given the great variety of wholefoods I will come back and try something else 😉
