Review Sweet And Savoury On Sturt - Ballarat

Love this venue. It's very warm and peaceful when I just want to catch up with some friends. The mood is very calm and relaxing thanks to the old theme of the place contributed by classical music, old school black and white movie played via projector. The beverages are really yummy, I have had a flat white coffee, a long black coffee and a strawberry milkshake, all were delicious. Even the strawberry milkshake was served in a nice milkshake glass so you can see the pink flavoring. I love it! The food is really well done! I have had their sandwiches, the eggs on toast and the Gnocchi! All three were cooked perfectly and extremely delicious! Just make sure you make clear how you want to pay.

About a week or so ago had a chance to visit this gorgeous quaint cafe! What a beautiful surprise awaited us! Tastefully decorated, amazing food, sweets to die for and very importantly, the owners and staff are incredible! What a treat to meet such combination this day and age! If you visit Ballarat or happen to live there,don't miss it! There aren't many places with all the components so well fitted together!.Love to come back! Thank you Maria and Miron!

Great location being in Central Ballarat, just across from the shops. Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. Staff were very friendly and attentive and went out of their way to give a great experience. Wide menu from beverages to food, including the chocolate sampler cabinet. Will definitely be returning.

Kids loved the hot chocolate. I loved seeing the vintage items decorating the cafe. Not to mention the coffee tasted the best I've had in some time.

I went there today with my husband for a high tea, it was so delicious and well presented. We enjoyed everything and the ambience of the place was perfect! Will be back again. The price if the high tea was excellent. We couldn't eat it all but we were able to take home what we couldn't eat. I can't wait to go there for another high tea with my mum and friends.

A little gem....was stoked to discover this place yesterday....decor and ambience both wonderful...amongst the best in Ballarat...loved the 50s music, and the silent screen!!! Lots of veggie options, and they stock Pepperjack shiraz... What's not to love!!!....service was great too, our waitress was super friendly, and very helpful

Had a client from Melbourne up for a meeting. Went to Sweet and Savoury on Sturt, great atmosphere and environment. For my Melbourne client to say the coffee is beautiful that's a BIG thumbs up. Beautiful coffee!!!

Great value, fresh food, yummy menu, amazing cakes, great service, very friendly and helpful staff. So impressed with our lunch we went back the next day for coffee and cake.

My brother invited me over there for a coffee and some food (my shout of course) and I have to say I'm so impressed with the theme of the venue. I've never lived in the 1950's or earlier but your venue really puts the mood in and I gotta say I quite like it a lot! I really enjoyed the iced coffee that was made for me as well as the sandwiches! thanks to the chef and barista (my brother) for a great meal and drink. And I really want to thank the owners (I'm sorry I can't recall your names) for being very hospitable with me! It was such a pleasure meeting you both and being welcomed into your venue with open arms. I will definitely be back! I always try and leave some constructive feedback for the places I visit to help them progress as a venue so here is a my little bit of feedback for you! The iced coffee I had was delicious, you have a great barista, and the price was fair for the ingredients used. Coffee beans, ice cream, caramel I believe and dark chocolate chips. $8 I believe? Satisfied! The incredible sandwiches I had were so nice I wanted more but didn't want to pig out! but for $7.50 I would expect the sandwiches to be bigger slices to fit the price! So the dish was delicious, but the price in my opinion as a customer should either be changed or the sandwiches should be bigger so the customer doesn't ever feel negative towards the venues pricing on their dishes :) Again, thanks for such great service and your hospitality, I will be back soon!

I love this cafe! It resembles an European cafe, very cozy, beautiful and stylish. Everything is tasty and fast! Especially I love sweet part of menu. Every cake is a masterpiece. Thank you very much for your excellent work!!!
