The Charcoal Pit - Ballarat - Photo album

Deliciously perfect lamb souvlakias and genuinely friendly staff. What more could you ask for.
I go there a lot, staff are always friendly and the food is always great. By far the best local place I've been to for food at any time of the day. Can definitely recommend.
I love the mixed chicken and lamb souvlaki!
Really bad. It's like eating sour cream on thick tasteless bread, with a few oversized chunks of chicken. It's just gross, I kept having to spit out the chicken skins. This isn't an authentic souvlaki place. If you want that, then go to Lambs. 100 kms East from Ballarat.
We liked it but I thought the lamb was a bit dry, I suppose that's how charcoal lamb is ment to be and the chicken was salty. Yummy bread, sauce and salad. Super quick and friendly service. Clean shop. Good music. Chairs bit.... not my type. I reckon a souvlaki should be rolled up but that's just me.
Beautiful. The best souvlaki in Ballarat for me. When I can, I'll walk almost 2kms to go there for lunch and it's totally worth it. Shop is warm in winter, good service, awesome food. A souva and chips is too much to eat but I give it my best shot. A real gem.
I think the souvlaki was over priced for the size that was given. Meat was extreamly salty, and was hardly any meat in there. The bread was soft too. We ordered chips and ate in and they charged us 5o cents for tomato sauce lol. All i can say is that I wont be eating there again.
Highly recommend. Service is great and very friendly, greeted by my name and the food is incredible and very fast. Lifetime customer and have since had a lot of friends and family try it out and agree!
