Review Miners Tavern - Ballarat

Friendly pub. Good service.soup was tasty garlic bread a little to crispy. The lamb roll was good but again to crispy. I think both sat in a warmer a little to long. Worth a visit would not hesitate to go back

No even worth the one star. Booked ahead for 2 people to find out when we got there that one of us had a big column in the way of were the seating was. Not practical. Ask the staff for a booth and said we cant have a booth cause it gets busy. Shouldn't have bothered booking ahead. The staff seemed untrained and the atmosphere felt like we were at a funeral. The place felt scummy.

Had a few drinks there. No issues. Good staff, prices same as everywhere close. Had a small win on the pokies. Gave us plenty of notice when it Was last drinks. Security was great. Mate had a meal there and said it was ok.

Attended a work function in the function room upstairs. Lovely room and the deck out the back upstairs was lovely with a great view of the railway station lit up at night. The food was very basic. Party pies and spring rolls are things I could do at home, not the kind of food you expect for a night out.

Not a bad place for a quiet drink. Wouldn't recommend the food. Ordered wedges with sour cream and chilli sauce. The serving was so small it was a joke compared to other hotels and we were given the sweet potato not normal potatoes and no chilli sauce...

Authentic looking tavern full of charm. Love the private booths for watching favourite sport. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend dropping in for a pint or a few when next in Ballarat.

Very rude owners, My meal was the stake- was burnt when i asked for rare, my boyfriend got the same and his was perfect. Mine almost like charcoal Ordered garlic bread- had i not ordered the meal myself i would of thought it was just toasted bread! No garlic what so ever could be tasted! Went to the bathroom and when i came back my plates gone! after telling the staff prior when they came not to take them Went to inform the owner know and they claim “the plates were empty” umm excuse me no they were not and had your staff not touched my plate like i asked i could of proven it! Between the table of 3 spending over $200 they couldn’t do anything but “left the chefs know” well that is definitely not good enough!! I wanted a $6 dessert and you couldn’t do anything pathetic- from someone who works at a hotel/restaurant i know you definitely could have done something. To then walk away while i was telling you something POOR MANAGEMENT disgusting behavior from a superior I come to ballarat a lot and this is by far the worst experience i have ever had, will never come back here when i visit next, i’m sure the next venue will love my business
