Very satisfied with the food service and atmosphere. Prices are on point for what you get and the meals are well cooked.

Went for brunch, waited 20 minutes for my daughter's coffee to come ( we had to ask for it) even though mine came within 5 minutes. Had the fritters which were hard as a rock. Looked like it was reheated. My daughter had the french toast and that looked and tasted like it had been pre cooked and reheated. When we went to pay, told the girl behind the counter that the fritters were hard and she didn't care just asked if we were paying by cash or card. Won't be going back.

Visited this cafe on a weekend away. Went to order our coffees and the girl serving was not friendly at all. I think she needs some training in customer service. No friendly hello how are you or even a smile. We ordered our drinks, they were bought over and put down on the table. “Caramels” which was the 3 caramel thickshake we had ordered. I ordered a iced long black which came in a mug not in a glass with ice. It was basically cold coffee. I then asked for a glass with ice which seemed like a big deal. Customer service goes a long way and this girl needs to learn some.

Tasty menu, ambience and decor could use some TLC though. We had the Roesti and the French toast. Roesti was a nice house rendition with beetroot and pumpkin. The French toast was tasty and the serving was great. Though the plating could have been better as the plate itself was tiny. The decor is a little drab and there isn’t sufficient light in the cafe. The furnishing doesn’t help to increase the brightness either. Coffees were alright. Not bad but nothing to write home about either.

Cute little cafe in Ballarat with black and white umbrellas out front. We had some cakes for tea and they were absolutely delicious, favourite was the lemon meringue hands down. My partner really enjoyed his coffee, regretting not ordering the milkshake!

Partner and I went for bruch, ordered benedict burgers expecting what was on the menu to come out. All we got was reheated stale bread buns with an over cooked fried egg , a slice of regular cheese, some bacon with some strange sweet relish on the bottom. Not at all what was on the menu. Will not be going back.

They were able to accommodate eight of us with no notice. I got the prawn pappardelle, which was simple but nice. It came with six big prawns, which is quite generous for the low price of $22. Some of the menu prices did seem a little odd though. For instance, the cost of a small bowl of chips was high at $9.50 - yet the main meals were all very reasonably priced. The menu is not particularly well suited to vegetarians/vegans. However they seemed happy enough to accommodate for changes to the menu when our friends asked. So overall it was a pleasant experience.

Busy day today but the breakfast is sooooo worth it! Thanks to the staff there for their great service and loved the French toast once again. Coffee spot on! Love this place!

Always a wonderful reception when we walk in, coffee is delicious and food is always good. Have been coming regularly for three years now. Breastfeeding friendly and a great cafe for families. Absolutely recommend.

*AVOID* Slow food service, inattentive staff, poorly stocked kitchen and lack or organisation. Wandering down the street for some lunch, this placed looked alright from the outside. Table or 4, ordered a salad, omelette and 2 pulled pork melts. Waited 40 mins to have 2 of 4 plates come out and then be told the melts will need to have a side salad substitute as they kitchen was out of sauerkraut. My partner said he was alright and my dad opted to look at the menu to order something else. 5 minutes later, one tiny slice of fat-cut white bread cut in half with a fistful of rocket and a dish of olives was served (totally off menu, and would not have been ordered if item came with olives). Was not advised the size of the meal by the wait staff - more of a small entree size, and d finitely not worth $15. Asked the wait staff why it took so long to come back to us and say they had run out of ingredients. Wait staff said that the kitchen had run out the day before and he didn’t work yesterday so didn’t know. (Wouldn’t you think It would only take a minute for someone from the kitchen to flag an order that they don’t have all the ingredients for?) Left the other two meals as they were and walked out. Massive waste of an hour, considering we only had a day to explore the area before heading back to Sydney.

Staff where great, great coffee and juice. Food a little slow to come out and bacon just warm. However that didn’t matter once we stared eating, all 7 of us really enjoyed breakfast

Had a lovely relaxing late breakfast, great staff super friendly, I wasn't overly hungry and had a cold so just tasteless to me, but when you can't smell it affects everything, always enjoyed my out meals that I've had though

Superb dinner for 50 beekeepers from across the state for the Victorian Beekeeping Clubs Conference. Specially developed menu with honey as the showcase ingredient. Best pannacotta with poached quince and fresh honeycomb. So yum. Fantastic event! Thanks to everyone

One of my fave cafes in ballarat. Good food and good coffee and a lovely atmosphere.

Went for breakfast with my wife, the staff was friendly and polite and also quick to take our order, but we had to wait over 40 minutes before our food came out which was rather disappointing and when the food came out it was already a bit on the colder side and parts were over cooked. The family next to us were there before us and their food came when we were finishing ours, the staff was polite and apologetic but all and all it did take way too long, I hope they were compensated, we were given the coffees on the house. We will be back it could have just been a one off I hope.

On a two-day visit to Ballarat, went to this place for breakfast. The staff was very friendly and prompt. However, food took quite a while to arrive. Ordered the Europa Breakfast. Portion was decent but nothing special really. Bacon was too salty in my opinion, poached eggs were overcooked but the bread was thick, crusty and good. It wasn't a bad experience, but it's not a place that I'll revisit.

Europa cafe is located in the middle of sturt street. The restaurant decorations was really cute with the fairy light and fake cactus along the window.

We ordered
☕️skinny latte:
below average coffee, I can feel the burnt taste (maybe over roasted coffee beans)

🍓Cold pressed juice:
was really nice, tasty and refreshing.

🍐Yogurt Panna Cotta with poached fruit and granola:
the panna cotta texture was wobbly and jiggly which was a good sign of a good panna cotta and it went really well with all the poached fruit.

🐟Gravlax-Beetroot Cured Trout
topped with poached eggs, onion, avocado & capers:
This dish was just ok. The beetroot cured trout was not fresh, fishy and too salty

🐤Duck waldorf; Confit duck leg with potato & waldorf salad & orange glaze:
This dish was amazing. Duck cooked well with crispy skin and the salad was well seasoned.

The service was quick with friendly staff.

A little bit pricey but yummy

Great lunch served with friendly service.
Pasta with chicken and basil and corn fritters and Avo smash. Both tasty and the chutney was awesome.
The coffee was great as well.
We will be back!
A brightly lit café with fairy lights in the middle of Sturt St was our destination for breakfast one early morning. The service was attentive and our food order was taken swiftly. I ordered the breakfast board which had a nicely poached egg on some ham and toast. The cured meat was a bit salty for my liking and the raisin bread/jam was tasty. The star of the board in my opinion was the muesli which had the perfect balance in flavour and crunch from the nuts. My fellow breakfast party had the Spanish omelette and the smashed avocado. The Spanish omelette was slightly overcooked and was a bit bland. The smashed avocado was underwhelming to say the least as the bread had a cardboard-like texture, however the goat cheese on top was a great addition which brought some life back to the dish. Overall a bit of a hit and miss with the dishes but satisfying nonetheless.

Coffee was good but service was really slow. Made it difficult with kids. Food was OK, but nothing special, given the wait. Best thing was they brought out the kids food quickly, however by the time the rest of the food was ready, the kids had finished and were ready to leave..

I always recommend Europa as one of the "good old faithful" cafes of Ballarat. Nice staff, with good food and coffee. Nothing to be blown away by, with slightly above average prices, but never a bad coffee or meal.

Eggs Benedict - don't bother. Hollandaise sauce was cold and lumpy, bacon (not ham) was cold, eggs and muffin barely warm. One look and it went back. Needless to say we won't be returning.

A great cafe, where you can always get a table, with plenty of lunch specials. Food of consistently high quality, staff friendly and attentive. Outdoor seating is great in summer.

Came here this morning for breakfast. Waited over 45 minutes for our meals. This is what mine looked like. GF bread not toasted, mainly soggy. Cafe lacking systems and processes with staff seeming to have no leader amongst them, meaning that we had to get our own menus, waters and request to order. Which is fine if we weren't told upon entering "please go to the table and we will be there shortly".
On the plus side the toilets are divine! New, fresh and clean!
Coffee And Food Enthusiast.
Just stopped in for a takaway coffee, although they use Coffex beans which is generally a good sign, unfortunately the barista needs to learn to clean the group handle before preparing another coffee, also, if the coffee gets extracted too fast, don't press the button to run it through again, it generally means the grind it set too course and it needs to be adjusted more fine... For a single shot it should take 25 seconds to produce 25mls... She gets 2 instead of 1 because she smiled :)

Servers were friendly though it took a long time to return to my table after giving the menus and also took a while for the food to come out.
The food was delicious. I had the Moroccan veg out. It was really good! Seemed like a small bowl but was super filling and delicious!
Shaun
Very slow and inattentive service, ok food. Obvious example of the need for a manager or supervisor on the floor food and coffee ok. Staff friendly though needing a sense of urgency
Nural Omer
Food was terrible. Eggs overdone, zucchini fritters tasted like cardboard and omelette had no flavor. Coffee below average. Staff were friendly but took ages to be seated.

Very large menu with a lot of choices, however at first glance it seemed very expensive for Ballarat. I ordered the Big Breakfast which was honestly pretty good. Coffee was a big let down though, needs some work

Nice iced coffee and hot chocolate.
The toast was good as told
Morocco veggie I had was a warm dish to start my day there!
Chickpea and spinach topped with mildly runny poached eggs and yogurt and pistachio nuts. The portion was just right for me! But it's a bit pricey.

Total amount of bill: $36

GREAT ICED COFFEE! They also got me loving Salmon and potato salad though they haven't had it on the menu in years... Prices are a bit steep but enjoy the new interior..

A bit overpriced but lovely place with great atmosphere. Very good coffee but their sourdough isn't the real McCoy. Would visit again but not one of our favourites .

TERRIBLE. $18 for a greasy "breakfast panini" drowning in all kinds of sweet, fatty sauces with an overcooked egg in it and bacon.
I feel sick after eating it. rip off!

Great brekkie!. Fab brekkie, the bircham with stewed fruit and yoghurt was divine. Love their coffee, too!

Egyptian salad - "mixed salad with falafel, selection of dips, olives, pine nuts and pita bread". What a colourful and exciting looking dish! The selection of dips were mashed pumpkin, beetroot (with olive oil and vinegar), and tzaziki
