Review Arch View Cafe - Ballarat

This is a really good cafe. I was pleasantly surprised by how good their coffee was. Made a solid long black in a beautiful rustic cup. Their babycino was on point with a big fat marshmallow. The kids menu was very useful and my smashed avo was done very well. Lovely calm atmosphere. Very handy to have on this side of town.

Great little full service cafe, warm atmosphere with friendly and efficient staff. I had a tasty breakfast smashed avo (pictured) which lovely lemon & beetroot hummus which made it. Very nice coffee to top it off. Conveniently located on the main road out of the town centre, plenty of parking out back.

We've been there for our afternoon tea. Great atmosphere nice and cosy. Staff were a bit uptight but nothing wrong with that. Everyone in our group was happy with the choices. Expect a bit of smile and a little kindness from the staff. Surprisingly customers were nice and kind.

Stay away from the pizzas. Couldn't even bite through some of the crust as it was that hard. Had to literally break it apart by snapping the crust.Definately not worth $19. Was worse than a frozen pizza. Should have went across the road an bought a small pizza for $8. Very disappointing. Some of the other food looked amazing, staff were very friendly and nice, but the pizza was a joke. Ordered the chicken and the pulled pork pizzas.

Great little cafe near the big memorial arch in Ballarat. Food is reasonably priced and delicious ! Outside and indoor seating as well as space for dogs. Food was served promptly and staff were great!

I was able to book a table for a coffee this morning. Not all cafes are taking bookings for coffee. I arrived a few minutes before my friend and was greeted warmly by a member of the team who showed me to our table and made sure we had everything we needed. Orders are taken at the counter and our delicious coffee was brought to our table soon after. The cafe is clean and offers breakfast and a variety of sweet and savoury foods. Parking is no problem. Toilets are available for customers. Tables are available inside or outside if you prefer. Once you are seated you are permitted to remove your mask and enjoy your coffee or meal. My friend and I are planning to make this our spot for future catch ups.

Fit out of the cafe was gorgeous. Food was nice (although we were confused about why Eggs Benedict has lettuce) and staff were friendly. I think they do need to reconsider the fact that they open early yet the kitchen doesn't open until 9am. Missing a big opportunity for breakfast business by doing that. I saw 2 people leave this morning as they had come for breakfast yet couldn't order for another 30mins. We would have done the same if I hadn't arrived first and advised my friends not to hurry as we couldn't eat yet. I will use this a lot more as a cake and coffee cafe rather then breakfast cafe as having to work at 9am I need to go to cafes that run breakfast before then.

Great to have a quality cafe at our end of town. We enjoyed our breakfast and will definitely be back. Obviously still going through some small teething problems in relation to service arrangements with staff, at least several staff tried to serve us I suppose. All the staff we meet were friendly and had a smile and will all be assets when they have more experience and organisation. Congrats to the owners, we wish you continued success with your venture.

The Arch View team is clearly still trying to find its feet as a new enterprise! We weren't happy with our order and gave some friendly feedback, as we know the inevitable hiccups any new business can have. We were advised by a staff member from the kitchen that the issue with the dish was our fault and we were left feeling like it was us who should be apologising!!! (We were told we should have read the menu more closely ... but when we checked, the menu didn't provide the info the staff member claimed it did). Anyway, we were still charged full price -$52 - for two dishes that we didn't eat and three coffees and just put it down to experience ... we know not to come back for a while. Best wishes to the team in refining their offer of customer service!
