Review Eau Verte Cafe - Ballarat

Accidentally stumbled across this little gem. From the moment we went in we were greeted with old fashioned hospitality The staff are so genuinely friendly The food and coffee was lovely We were in Ballarat for the weekend. It was so nice we returned to have brunch 2 days later before returning to Melbourne. Do yourself a favour and drop by this beautiful cafe. Will definitely be telling my friends about this little gem. We will definitely be back next time we are in Ballarat

Just called in for coffee that was excellent, service was friendly and prompt. Interior is comfortable albeit a bit cramped and busy. All the cakes and prepared food looked good and fresh.

I have struggled to give the one star, does not worth it. I have never been treated with such rudeness and lack of manners in a business, The menu is poor, the food managed to be even worse. Our group could rarely find a small piece of chicken in the chicken sandwich and all other meals were awful! The one star can remain as the coffee was indeed hot... only decent thing in the whole experience. I was with a group of friends and they left me with a 88 years old lady at the cafe while they went to get the car... the staff basically opened the door and throw us out as it was their closing time in 5 minutes and "they had other places to be". Besides that, their EFTPOS machine never worked properly and one person on our group find out when checking the bank statement that he had been charged twice,,,, but the amounts were different.... hummmmmmmmmm. They sat us in a table near their kitchen and some of their equipment was located near the table and the staff continuous keep coming and opening/closing the freezer. At one point I stood up to go to the counter and order my meal and I walked to the corridor that then I found out was a kitchen, the person inside shouted to me to get out and go through the other way. I regret not getting my things and leaving at that point. It was a terrible place to be, a disgusting meal and very expensive for what it was ( a piece of bread) and the disrespect for the clients was something unacceptable. NEVER GO THERE!

Been here a couple of times for breakfast both times sat at the table in front of the coonara wood heater. With some easy listening music in the background and light conversation from the other tables sets the ambiance. Eggs Benedict and Cappuccino arrive looks perfect tastes as good as it looks. What a great start to my day.🤠

Pros: Excellent service by the staff, friendly and warm. Cafe decor is awesome. Food and drinks very tasty indeed! Cons: Small Menu (it is a cafe after all)

I was not even able to get my take away coffee because I was partially vaccinated, not full. And yet they offer Skip app? How are you gonna find out if a person who is not vaccinated paid through the app and picked it up? I find all this contradicting. So I ended up trying Degani next to Seven Eleven and they at least accept take aways still.. started my busy Friday morning feeling rejected:-( My second vaccination is due soon but still never going back.

My favourite Cafe in Ballarat. The staff are lovely and the food is amazing. Easily the best coffee in town too. I’ve had most items off the menu and the desserts are excellent. I’ve recently found out that I’m a Coeliac and they cater brilliantly for it, lots of GF options. Keep up the great work guys.

Amazing Coffee, fantastic food and lovely staff. What’s not to love. The nicest cafe in Ballarat. The curried sweet potato soup is a taste sensation. Love it.

I've only been in once for a takeaway coffee and it was delicious, but since then everyone I drive by its closed for repairs or something similar. The decor inside was nice, a bit feminine, but limited menu.
