This is a fabulous place to come for a meal. Bring the family or bring your friends the food is divine. The owners and staff are kind, considerate and accomodating. The cocktails are a must!! An amazing place to dine in Ballarat.
My husband and I had dinner tonight and as soon as we walked in it was an awesome experience. Was so nice to be served by an old friend and guided through the menu as it was our first visit... we shared a tasting plate which was to die for , corn bread , buffalo wings and pork ribs ... by far the best flavours and we both agreed an 11 out of 10 Congratulations to owners and staff for this gem in Ballarat ! We will be back for sure
It was a very cold winters Ballarat night and we were definitely in the right place for delicious Southern Comfort Food. The Little Easy Share Plate hit the spot straight away with a beer in hand. We followed up with Gumbo, Jambalaya ( didn't order the corn bread but should of to mop up the Jumbalaya juice) and our 12yo demolished the Blackened Brick Chicken. Congratulations on this exciting new restaurant, so great to have this type of food in Ballarat. The building & ambiance is authentic. Next time will be having a dram of the many Whiskeys of offer! Thanks fora great night.
We loved our evening here. The food was great, the staff were awesome and we weren't rushed. The staff are very accommodating and nothing was a hassle. We had the share plate which is a great way to try a few dishes. You can even share meals here so that is impressive.
My husband & I went for dinner last night. We had such a wonderful night. The servers were both lovely, engaging ladies. The food was superb - everything was delicious. We had beef brisket, blackened chicken, potato salad, corn bread, coleslaw, succotash, cola cake & beignets. We sat outside with drinks & dessert listening to amazing live jazz music. We both can’t wait to come again!
From starters and beer to dinner and dessert this place just hits the spot. I haven't been to New Orleans but I felt like I have after tonight. A real dining experience in the heart of Ballarat. Will definitely be back to try other menu items. Thanks guys!
Came along for lunch today and had the gumbo, a shrimp Po boy and the croquettes. Excellent food, lovely service from the chef and owner Suzi, and we can’t wait to come back on a Friday night to try the oysters and steaks next!
Amazing food, my 10 year old was licking the sloppy Joe off the plate as well as the cola coke. Would highly recommend to anyone. Such friendly service. We will be back
Possible the best food, with the most amazing customer service. 11/10
and the barman's signature cocktail was glorious. We are even more excited now to go to New Orleans.
Great food, and top notch service would recommend to everyone to try this venue out.
Wonderful food, atmosphere, service and music. Some damn good gumbo. Thanks for the hospitality, we will be back again.
Fantastic food, awesome venue and excellent service from the happy staff! 10/10 will be coming back! I always trust a place that has more whiskey than beer! Cheers guys!
Not much I could fault. I've had plenty of creole and cajun food in my life and this was some of the best I've ever had. I could live off the corn bread alone.
Great vibe and excellent food. Our group enjoyed the downstairs private dining room with open fire place. Such a lovely venue and a fantastic night out.
Had dinner there last night for the first time.5 of us girls who are going to New Orleans next year. We each ordered a different meal. 5 great dishes. Generous and very tasty. Great customer service too. After dinner we went upstairs and was able to chat and enjoy a drink while listening to the music the dj provided (I think this was the first night for the dj). Music appropriate for the theme of the restaurant. Great night. Will return. Oh....great to catch up with Dean after all these years. Had no idea this was your new venture. Well done guys
