Review Euforia Balmain East Cafet - Balmain

Ishanthi Gunawardana
Great little local cafe with excellent coffee. I really like that they have small (high-tea sized) treats available to have with your coffee or tea so that you can indulge without feeling too guilty. My passionfruit tart hit the spot. And if you come at time that’s not too busy you can score yourself a seat which has views of the harbour bridge 👌 The service is efficient.

Great little cafe in Balmain not too far from the ferry terminal. The harbour bridge view is amazing from street seating. I had a cheeseburger which had fresh ingredients and the meat was cooked perfectly. We had coffee and freshly squeezed juice too which was again very good. The staff were very polite and the service was quick. Overall an awesome lunch.

A good solid cafe overall, though, a number of small concerns wouldn't have me recommend it. STAFF: Seemingly lacking passion or care factor for their jobs or customer service. I may have got them on a couple of off days. FOOD: Really good selection of menu items, bacon and egg dishes to healthy chicken, salmon, vegetarian bowls which can be made on quinoa. The coffee was really good for those wanting a take away, I think it's likely very good for this. CLEANLINESS: Walking through the kitchen to the bathroom, the back end looked really dirty. If it wasn't for the foul smell, I wouldn't have been phased (it is a kitchen afterall), but it really was quiet disgusting. Note: Sadly they've put a fair bit of effort into serving up their dishes on lovely sourdough etc bread but if you're gluten free, they just use the cheap supermarket stuff. Very odd, given the prices they charge. All similar cafes I've been to would serve wholegreens, Nonies etc. OVERALL: Wouldn't recommend, based on my limited experience.

Fabulous coffee, excellent service and delicious food! Who could ask for more? The view of the harbour bridge is also spectacular of course.

Super fast service we had both drinks and food within 10mins of ordering. Eggs Benedict with salmon is delicious and hands down the best hot chocolate I've had in Sydney!

I have very good memories related with this place when I traveled to Sydney and stayed on Balmain East half a year ago. The view on the bridge is just stunning. All breakfasts looked like works of art and tasted so delicious. Coffee was really good too.

Agreeably surprised! This cafe is located in a quiet neighbourhood in darling street near the harbour. It’s a bit conspicuous inside but I liked the “old school” furniture and the staff as they don’t make you wait for long. Now food wise, I’ve ordered some Salmon Eggs Benedict that were simply divine, the colours, the way it was set up in the plate and the taste : A real show stopper although I thought the bread underneath was a bit tough, I really loved it. The latte was excellent so was the green smoothie I’ve ordered whose fruits, greens and leaves will help you and give you a good boost for the day. Overall, a really nice experience to reiterate, thanks :)

Took my partner hear for breakfast as I read an article suggesting this is one of the best places in Sydney to have a fancy French toast breakfast “ and the article was correct “. First up you feel very welcome when you walk in greeted by friendly helpful staff. Second the food and presentation is every bit as described unique and full of flavour and very well priced. My partners dish was equally impressive as it was delicious also along with a well made coffee. If you want to eat hear be aware if it’s a Saturday or Sunday “check availability before you arrive”, to avoid disappointment as it has limited seating in and out . The view from outside is a full angular view of the harbour bridge as the location is elevated and is a short uphill walk from Balmain east ferry “barley 200m “ Well done team keep up the good work, and fantastic to see such a functional and creative cafe.

This is quite a small and humble cafe near Balmain east wharf with beautiful views of the harbour bridge. The food wasn’t that great - the salmon in the salmon salad tasted straight out of a can and the French toast was burnt. Service was great though.

great cafe spot - killer view of the bridge - well worth the trip for this place - great service that are super friendly and care so much about their customers

cant recommend enough

Lovely service from the girls! Although my favourite thing about this cafe is the location and view! Positioned just above balmain warf you get a lovely view of the harbour bridge. Campos coffee always bodes well, cant wait to come back and pair it with one of the delicable desserts, specifically the panacotta lamington. This time I ordered the chicken salad, it was pretty basic and could have easily madr it at home myself. However the chicken was cooked perfectly so still a thumbs up! Thanks team, see you soon 😊.
The French toast is very nice. A bit different from what I thought but still quite enjoyable! I wish there will be more fresh fruit and replace ice cream with cheese. :) it is nice corner where you have magnificent view to harbour bridge. Will come to try other dishes and they all seems attempting!

Came to this place with my sister last weekend, and it was a very good experience.

The coffee was superb and the food was just delicious!

I've never seen Jasmine finishing her Cappuccino before any food came (she said the coffee was really smooth)!

We got the hangover cure and a Buddha bowl with chicken. The hangover cure is meaty, but not overly greasy. Very satisfying for a weekend brekkie. The hashbrown was a little oily though. The buddha bowl was really healthy. I'm not a big fan of leaves, but the corn, carrots, mushrooms, falafel/hommus made everything less boring. The falafel was a little salty, but the grilled chicken was very smoky and juicy. Loved it!

We will definitely be coming back :)

Excellent food and service! I ordered the banana-berry smoothie which was really tasty and nice to see they didn’t skip out on the amount of blueberries. I paired it with the meatball/BBQ panini which was delicious and flavoursome especially the sauce! I could eat just that and be happy. The servers were also very friendly and welcoming. 10/10 in all aspects!

Euforia is one of my favourite cafes. They make delicious food and drinks customized to your preference. I always like to add crispy chorizo, it’s one of the best I’ve had! They also make my soy hot chocolate with latte art, not many cafes do this! The wait staff are friendly and attentive; and there’s Harbour Bridge view if you’re seated outside! The cafe is always busy, but totally worth the wait.
Eatwithmyfoodsafari
Offering possibly one the best views of the harbour at the smallest dining price, Euforia offers an eclectic breakfast menu of including salads and Buddha bowls plus your regular breakfast favourites and lunch fare. The coffee wasn’t particularly to my taste as I found it quite bitter.
Julia Birchall
great location portion sizes reasonable prices and friendly efficient service. Became our morning stop on the way to the ferry into city while staying close by. The Buddha bowls are fresh juices are a great start to the morning.

Brunch with a view, great coffee and selection of Brunch. Extra +1 added due to amazing location.

The eggs Benedict sauce was Abit to sour for my liking. Something to be mindful of, not everyone's cup of tea.

The café is located in a very beautiful location, the waiters were cool and very quick. The food was a wait but it was worth it! And the coffee was amazing!

Really nice cafe in the less busier part of Balmain. Coffee was good and service friendly. Ordered the Spanish special which had chorizo, mushrooms, olives, poached eggs, spinach and toast. The eggs were overcooked and was hard boiled. Had views of the harbour bridge which was a great addition. Great potential if the food was better!
Fat Boi
Great spot for breakfast/brunch. You gotta do the French toast. Good, strong coffee too. It's sorta far away from everything else which means it's quiet and there's not too much traffic so sitting outside in the sun is the way to go here.
Melissa Van Zeist
I met up with a friend here a few weeks ago, we sat outside it was cold but the view from the cafe of the harbour bridge was worth it! I had the best cappuccino and breakie here! I ate the garlic infused spinach and mushrooms dish.

And I have been back since then for a coffee and smashed Avo on toast. I even ordered a sneaky banana bread to go.

It's a must try when your in Balmain!
Lily The Frugal Foodie
The wait for the food was longer than ideal but it was definitely worth it and the value for money was great. We'd be keen to come back in the future. My favorite dish was the smoked trout stack. The brioche French toast was also delicious and the serving size very generous. The chicken tenderloin salad was more tasty than expected. The bacon dish though, the bacon was very dry and hard. Also, apparently this place can take bookings, which would be very handy.

Worth a trip for the location as a start, set amidst plenty of heritage homes and stops, some dreadful 70's apartment building and with a mighty view of the bridge. Busy often too.
I found the coffee a little bitter and service a little hard to come by but the food mostly makes up for that. Good old fashion fry up for me and it hit the mark pretty well, especially the bacon.
I wanted to like this place more given the location but I found it a little unfriendly in atmosphere and 'busy not busy.' Lots of choice between my front door and here so I think it will be a while before the follow up.

Absolutely fantastic location on top of the hill overlooking harbour bridge and the waters. Situated on a quiet side of Darling St in Balmain, this cafe makes you feel peaceful and refreshed just by enjoying a coffee here. Tried out french toast with bacon for the first time, have to say was not what I expected, the slightly sweet and salty bacon went perfectly with the toast. Chose ricotta instead of ice cream. Also ordered Spanish chorizo with added sliced avocado, very impressed with the food overall. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was perfect for brunch. Best of all the bill didnt shrink the wallet either! 5/5!

🚩🚩 @euforiabalmaineast 🚩🚩
🍴 BERRY BRIOCHE FRENCH TOAST: w/ houseblend sweet cinnamon vanilla ricotta, mixed nuts, chia, berry compote, vanilla bean gelato and seasonal fruit 🍴

Wow. It's a little out of the way (towards the end of the Balmain strip) but with a beautiful street view of the Harbour Bridge...Hard to compete with that. Then the food came out, and I realised view or no view, this cafe would be worth travelling to. Beautiful brioche. Soaked, but soggy. The multiple textures and contrasting flavours all work together beautifully - really loving the nuts and seeds scattered around the plate too. New menu is on the horizon but fingers crossed this toast is here to stay ✌️

Brought some friends here who were visiting from interstate. Cannot beat the location for tourists, the view is amazing! The breakfasts were all average, nothing particularly bad just bland and nothing wow. Have heard the lunch is great so will have to try again!

Euforia is one of my favorite cafe in Sydney!!!! The price of all the menu are reasonable. On a lazy Saturday, we came to this lovely cafe for brunch. The first time we came here it was way too busy, so we went elsewhere. This time however, we were able to get a table. The food was to our liking and the ambience is nice and relaxing. Customer service was good as well.

Tucked away just off the waters edge, this place is fantastic. I got the bacon breakfast with a side plate of halloumi and loved it. One of my favourite breakfast places in Sydney. Will be back soon.

Super cute hidden gem in Balmain. Perfect Saturday morning brunch spot with a relaxed vibe and a fantastic view of the bridge. We arrived just before 9am, by the time we left there was a small line waiting for table. Both ordering the vegetarian breakfast. The garlic infused sautéed spinach and mushroom - the highlight. Next time I'll order a side of avocado with it. Great coffee too! Highly recommend.

Superb Spanish Chorizo sausage salad, wonderful coffee and delicious treats. Thank you Kelly, Stephen and fabulous staff😃 the view is not bad either 😃

I don't have a bad word to say about this little place. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the unobstructed views of the Harbour Bridge were postcard-like and the food was delicious. Our mid-week brunch consisted of the Brioche French Toast Stack and the Wood-smoked American Bacon Plate. Both dishes were beautifully presented and incredibly moorish. If the portion sizes weren't so out of this world generous, I would have cleaned the plate! For a health kick I also tried the Super Green Smoothie. Although apprehensive at first, the combo of flavours were perfectly balanced, leaving a nice sweetness as the last taste. Overall, a great little place and great value for money!

Super cute hidden gem in Balmain. Has a great variety of breakfast options. Make sure you get there early on a Saturday as it can get pretty busy. Staff are friendly. Recommend a visit.
Simply Starving
Euforia is tucked away at the harbour end of Darling street and is one of Balmain's best kept secrets. The staff are wonderful and attentive and the atmosphere is casual and no fuss. I ordered the Brioche French Toast with Maple Bacon which was the perfect balance of sweet and savoury! I'll definitely be back!

Great coffee, good service, my daily fix! The view is also worth just spending the morning enjoying on a Saturday morning, but can be quite busy.

Delicious cronuts and pastries, friendly staff and great location. Will definitely be back to try more yummy goodies and some other menu items.

Excellent all day breakfast. The dishes we tried were fresh and delicious. Nice coffee. Venue is cute with plenty of natural light. Would recommend.

This cosy cafe is located on the quieter end of the main street of Balmain. The Smoked Salmon Stack was the epitome of freshness.. The corner cafe also seemed to be popular among the locals as I notice the friendly staff make casual conversation with passer-bys picking up their daily coffee and delicious pressed sandwiches for lunch.
Constant Diner
This cozy little cafe is located in Balmain East away from the main strip of shops and cafes along Darling Street. It has a nice local feel which I love, much more relaxing than some of the trendier (but not necessarily better) cafes where you have to queue for ages to get in. There's a tempting breakfast menu and an exciting gelato milkshake selection that's sure to give you a kick start to your day. Oh, and if you dine al fresco, you'll even get a peek of the Harbour Bridge. They serve Mecca coffee in these adorable cups...I want one of these cups! You can't go wrong with the American breakfast. Fried eggs, mushrooms, Belgian waffles and crispy bacon. Love the combination of the slightly salty crispy bacon and the sweet waffles. In case you're wondering, the bacon is crispy..not fully American style crispy, but close enough :) Delicious Spanish chorizo, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, crumbled feta and some olives. These days you can find chorizo on the breakfast menu of a lot of cafes,

The food was fresh and the staff were friendly. Great atmosphere. Can't fault it. 10/10

Had an awesome brunch with my wife and young daughter.. The food was absolutely superb. Simple and not pretentious food cooked well! The salted caramel shake was to die for! Will definitely be back!

Hidden Treasure. Had breakfast here a few weeks ago and what a treat it was! Great service and delicious fresh food. Had a smoothie in a really cute mason looking jar which was a funky touch.
My only advice is to book before heading in because it's a tight squeeze.

Overall, loved it!

The coffee is always good here. The food tasty, unpretentious and good value. Great location,

Don't use quality ingredients. Ordered the American breakfast with bacon, scrambled eggs, Roma tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms on sourdough. Honestly I can make it much better. Eggs were a sad sloppy mess, tomatoes weren't even cooked (simply just sliced into quarters), mushrooms lacked flavour. Also ordered the blueberry brioche French toast and avocado Roma tomatoes on toast - which they didn't have either (out of a pretty short menu this was stupid, especially since their French toast was apparently their best seller). Definitely WONT be back again.
Trying New Things
I had a very painful experience at this cafe. A sort of 'parallel universe' moment. I had a pram with two boys in it. I was at the entrance. It was very hot. I asked "where would you like us to go?". The guy looked at me and said "what do you mean?" I said "well you're a cafe and I'd like some lunch". It was 2.15pm. He pointed to the table in the sun and next to the traffic. I asked if he had something inside. He said why? I said it was hot and I had two boys. We went inside . Silence. Can I sit there? OK... What should I do with this? With what? Ummm, the pram? $30 later (two sandwiches and drinks). Goodbye! Never coming back!!!

Fabulous. A wonderful Sunday morning breakfast spot, great food, excellent coffee and superb location. Definitely a favourite!

Best coffee in Balmain - a great place to be. I have been a regular at this great coffee joint ever since it opened. The coffee is excellent - they actually take pride in giving you a full flavour hit - try a double ristretto if you like your coffee stronger. Michael and Kev are kings of the caffeine. The food is excellent - unlike the previous review suggested (maybe Lips was having a bad day or likes her eggs just so so soooo special - relax Lips this is a cafe). Views of the Harbour Bridge...a 200 metre stroll down hill to the Balmain East Ferry. If you are coming to Balmain ...head east to the best coffee on the insular peninsular.
Cherrylips75
I can't remember when I had such mediocre food. Scrambled eggs were oily, soggy and not well combined. Companion had eggs benedict and it looked thrown together without any care and drowned in greasy tasteless hollandaise. Wasn't dear but there was no care at all in the food, its presentation or the service.
Jenny Hay
Jumped off the ferry and stumbled on this place. Great value, good service and the food was great. Nothing too fancy but very enjoyable. Great to get away from the rat race too.
Clowntotheleft
The best coffee in Balmain and beyond. Don't waste your time heading to low clip joints in the main drag...head east like all wise men and women to Balmain East and get the best coffee in town...great cafe food and good prices.. Views of the Bridge... Open seven days a week early til 2:30pm....Kev and the crew are passionate about their coffee....do yourself a favour and go the extra mile then hop onto a ferry and enjoy the harbour

Iluffit!!. Beautiful views, superb coffee, excellent menu.
Try it yourself!

Service is friendly too.

Lovely atmosphere - another patron spontaneously gave up his table for our party.
Great coffee.
Friendly, knowledgable staff.
Bacon, eggs, Belgian waffles and maple syrup?
French toast with blueberries, walnuts and honey?
Poached eggs with avocado, tomatoes and feta?
ALL OUTSTANDING!
(I wish I lived in Sydney)

Great Coffee and Chai. Very tasty coffee and a good selection of teas and Chai.
Their home baked muffins and oat cookies are great and the choc chip muffin is particularly wonderful!
Really friendly service, even when it's very busy, which always goes down well with me!
Rob Olver
Perfect eggs. Euforia's eggs were perfectly poached, and the rest of breakfast was very enjoyable as well. Their milk shakes were great and the service was friendly.

The coffee was a bit of a let down but I wouldn't hesitate to go back there.

All in all a great experience.
Simon
Great for breakfast, lunch or just coffee.
Michael
Great start. I've found that Euforia is a great place to swing by & grab a coffee. The food is great & reasonably priced & it is certainly my pick for the morning heartstarter. Service is friendly & the atmosphere is good. What more do you need from a local cafe ?
Anakha
Promising start. Ok, place has been open a week and early signs are promising. Coffee blend is from Mecca, skim cappuccinos so far have been good.

Food-wise the menu is not huge but has some interesting options. My pick right now is the Belgian waffle.

Service from owner and staff has been as good or better than any of the cafes around Balmain I've visited.
