In all that time Bil has always come up to us and said "Hello" and been the perfect host. He works the room beautifully.
The coffee is always good and the food excellent.

Enjoyed Mother's Day lunch with family at Colombos last Sunday! We have been coming to Colombos since the kids were babies (now in their late 20's and into their 30's!) It's been a long lasting relationship which will keep on keeping on. The boys are living interstate and overseas - their favourite thing to do back in Melbourne is visit their favourite pizza restaurant! Bill is such a character and it is testament to him and his family that they have created such a wonderful family Italian eatery and attraction! Congratulations and best wishes!
Great restaurant for family or group gatherings. Food is bellisimo. All our meals were different and everyone enjoyed their meals. Size of meal is substantial.

Went for a family dinner on a busy Saturday night. All staff were super friendly and the food tasted great! You can tell it was all fresh unlike other pizza joints. Would definitely recommend to someone who wants to head out to a place with the family.
Absolutely love Colombo’s! I’ve been coming here with my family my whole life! The manager is always so welcoming and friendly! The food is always full of flavour and the portions are big. The staff are friendly too which is a bonus :)) will definitely be back
Great food, excellent service, and warm welcomes by the owner. Definitely a restaurant for any one of any age to enjoy, even better with families. Love the quality of the dishes, so warm and hearty. Only issue, however, is that the prices are quite high, and I do not personally think the price matches with the portion size and taste quite yet!
We came here mid week on a deal for entree , main and dessert with wine. Can not fault the portion sizes , food was great , service was a tad slow to start , but restaurant was very busy. We couldn’t fit in the dessert option ...but they looked good.
It reminds me of Sofias in Camberwell. Good for fast, cheap and convenient simple pizza and pastas. It is good location in heart of Balwyn shops. A bit dark inside the restaurant though.
Used a groupon for all you can eat pizza, pasta and salad, non-seafood. Ordered the pumpkin and spinach risotto (best dish), aussie pizza (delicious), cannelloni pasta (amazed), and sweet potato salad (delicious). Overall was a great lunch! Just beware of service, can be rude at the start, but after was fine. Quite pricey if going without a coupon.
Delicious food! A wide variety for every one. I ordered seafood risotto and it definitely did not disappoint. Pizza was great! Haven’t had a good one in ages. The staff were super friendly too. Overall a great night.

Average service. Extremely salty food which leaves you thirsty hours later. It's really cheap and the portions are huge which is the attraction of this family restaurant. Still scored it a 4/5 because this restaurant isn't pretending to be anything else. It's marketed as an Italian family restaurant and that's exactly what it is.

I was recently invited to a ‘Blogger’s dinner’ to try some of Colombo’s revamped menu items and specials, and boy were we in for a feast!
Great food & coffee and the portions here are massive. It's a traditional family restaurant so don't go expecting fine dining and 5 star meals. Definitely coming back soon!

Previously, I have tried the Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni ($22.00) which was delicious. On this occasion, we shared a Gourmet Pizza between us. The ‘Vegetarian – roasted seasonal vegetables, fresh tomato, bocconcini, olive oil, garlic, herbs ($21.00)’ was tasty.
Colombo's has great pizzas, and can get quite large in size for large groups or hungry people!
The environment is usually pretty noisy and lively - a typical family restaurant which has quite reasonable service.
Whilst the pizzas may be a bit pricier than the chain stores, they are definitely delicious and worth a try!
Not the most amazing Italian restaurant, but this place isn't pretending to be fancy. It's just an honest family restaurant, with your run of the mill Italian food served up in generous portions. Do I wish the food is better? Yes. But as a local I find myself back here whenever I crave a simple Italian meal.
I love this place. I come here with friends and family all the time and the owner knows us and is so lovely. My favourite from the menu is the garlic focaccia and pizza. The pizza is so delicious here, with their crispy crust and generous cheese. Best pizza place and one of my favourites. Highly recommend it!
I have been coming here since I was a child. it's grown tremendously since. The food has always been quite good although ive had a couple not so good experiences. Overall pretty good for a family friendly suburban restaurant but has become pricey over the years.
My family orders takeout from here pretty regularly. Food is fairly good, and customer service when you go in there is great too. Have had a few mishaps with wrong orders though. Nice family restaurant.
This is basically one of the best family restaurant I have been to, the staff are so friendly and amazingly attentive, many varieties of food from Pasta ,Pizza, seafood, meat chicken ,everything is available,so it caters for every taste. There are also kids menu.
I must admit that they are masters in the pizza making, it is one of the best pizzas in town

I'm happy with the pizza. I'm very pleased with the gourmet vegetarian pizza. I've bought it on 3 occasions and I've really enjoyed it. I've found the staff nice. I have high standards and am easily annoyed, so this place must be pretty good because I'm quite pleased with Columbos.
Great gelato, desserts and pasta and meat mains, but the pizza is not the best we've ever tasted.

Really Great here.. Bad reviews are joking? Very unfair. Regular here after Balwyn cinema. Established restaurant with friendly staff. Nabil the owner since 1986 takes pride in the place and keeps things moving. Staff friendly and obliging. Very busy Saturday night and soon seated after short wait. Generous serves of wine and Pizza good value to share and box to take home left overs. Coffee sent back, too cold but no worries, second cup perfect. Seated middle table, cold at front when door opens (frequently) Don,t mind families and kids noise. Best value in Balwyn.

This is not a place you go for fine dining or for a super awesome meal, but one you go to if you feel like eating a great big heap of pizza and pasta and have a huge family and don't want to spend a fortune! The staff are friendly-ish and accommodating. There isn't really any sort of ambience but big tables for large families. The garlic bread is a bit too garlicky for my liking but my favorite is the fishermans basket and penne pastas.
Family restaurant that has been consistently good for years. Great value and enough spacing between tables, that even on a busy night with large groups in, you can still hear yourself think. Delicious pizzas, with a small for only $13!
Pizza good quality toppings, the dough a little bit too thick. The other items arancini, salmon fillet were very good. Young, helpful and intelligent staff. Was a good experience willing to try again :)
Fast friendly, big many people good
Great food and very welcoming staff. My son loved the range of pasta options and settled on the marinara. It was full of fresh seafood and was delicious. My pizza (I forget the name) was huge but a little on the bland side, enjoyable enough but needed something to give it oomph. We'll definitely be coming back with the family again.
Everything was amazing, the pizzas were truly amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone who is trying to eat good food at a reasonable price. The only reason I gave a 4/5 was because the waiters/waitresses were slow at times, however they were very nice and well mannered.
