Review Basement Brewhouse - Bankstown

Can’t go wrong with this place. Amazing atmosphere, clean environment and friendly staff. The burgers are always solid and so was this one. Ordered the beef burger and it was delicious. The beef was perfectly cooked, the bun and salad were fresh. Will definitely go here again and they also have a large selection of German beers too!

Good place to hangout & grab food/drinks. There is a great selection of drinks! Cleanliness is poor & our meals were served without cutlery? We requested this from the server but he took ages to come back and our food was cold by this time.

Really nice place to hang out on Saturday nights, good vibe. Food is overpriced for the quality mostly burgers which are ordinary. Drink and food prices are premium. Better for a drink catch up.

Came here to catch up with a few friends and can say it was very pleasant. Great Clean environment and the staff were responsive and very attentive. We had burgers so and simple drinks but the setting is nice. I ordered a burger with i gave up trying to bite and instead used a knife and fork. Was awesome though.

The Rueben sandwiches here used to be fantastic. Idk if they've changed chefs or not but the quality isn't what it used to be. The bread underneath was soggy, tasted refrigerated. Too much sourkrout, too much mustard which over powered every other ingredient. Not enough meat. And the greatest disappointment, there was no pickle on the side.

The venue is absolutely a beauty. Great variety of beer. Really enjoyed the brown ale. The burgers looked delicious. I, however, decided on giant fries with various toppings. If I am being honest - they look better than they taste. The meat was really dry.

Just good food! My friend and I enjoyed the burgers. Nice and spacious bar/restaurant and service was good.

Really good artisan beer selection!!! Can’t wait to go back. I came here on a rainy day. Not much to do around, so, we decided to “camp” at the basement. The staff was friendly and warming us with a smiley welcome. When we asked for beers, they give us to try couple of them, and on the first choice the girl at the taps spotted on! We had an amber which We felt In love with.

Great range of craft beers on tap at a decent price of $10 for a tasting paddle for 4 choices. Layout and decor is modern and inviting. The cost of the food however is over inflated for what you get. $15 for a burger that I would value at no more than $10 and a small side serve of chips for $7, which I'd value at $3 for such a tiny serve they give you. The food is well presented and it does taste good, however the cost brings down my interest in attending this establishment on a regular basis. I'm also not likely to recommend this place for others to eat at. If the costs were adjusted accordingly in line with what you get (food wise), this place could be brilliant. Until then, it's only a good place to get your craft beers on tap.

Best damn burgers I've ever had. Soo busy on Friday and Saturday they usually cancel uber eats and takeaway (fair enough - kitchen would alteady be at capacity!) Nice to come down during the week for a cheeky burger! Can't wait foe the prosigal son (The Woodchopper Burger) to make a comeback - that thing was amazeballs) Also, best monthly deals in town! = $25! (Didn't even get into the venue itself... just go check it out!!)

Went to the Brewhouse with some overseas visitors who were very impressed. They had the Brewhouse beast, trio of fries and the beer tasting paddle and loved all of it. In fact these well travelled people said that it was one of the best burgers they have had. I explained to them that they could not alter the burgers and they said that when ordering a gourmet burger then that’s what you expect, anything else you can have at McDonalds. Quality, quantity and service standards are tops. I was proud to take them to one of my favourite places. Well done Bankstown Sports .

Friendly staff, great beer, place is new and well decorated! Would recommend 100%

We loved this place. Very cool set up, each long table has their own tv. Great for groups. Cheese and meat platters were decent, and with 30 beer taps you are spoiled for choice. The beers brewed here are actually really good, my favourite was the sparkling. They also have house wine on tap.

First time at the Brewhouse tonight. David and the staff cooked up a feast. The burgers, mozzarella sticks, loaded fries and pulled pork potatoes were all to die for. The alcoholic shakes were amazing. Definitely going back.

It's a great place to have a delicious burger. I would recommend it!

Located in the basement of Bankstown Sports (hence the name), this venue offers selection of beers (obviously), variety of food to accompany the drink and they have a Cafe too.<br/>Love the atmosphere and the decor in there. On top of general dining area they also have large function rooms and small private ‘booths’. I love how you can pick and play songs to enjoy while dining in.<br/>In terms of food, I tried their charcuterie and cheese boards and they were pretty good.

Went there for a late night snack. Ended up choosing the garbage truck. It was massive. I burnt my tongue since the chips were fresh out of the oil so I would recommend letting the chips cool down before digging in.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
Since getting married by Elvis in a drive-in chapel a decade ago, I’ve had a soft spot for Las Vegas. I was thus unsurprised to hear from Brewhouse Coordinator Shane Chalmers that it was the inspiration for the renovation of Bankstown Sports. Having recently added on a 55 million dollar, nine-storey office tower called the Flinders Centre, the casino-style club's attention is now focused on completing the internal fit-out of the ground floor lobby and retail areas. It’s already an impressive walk-through, lined with comfortable yet stylish seating areas and eateries, including a cluster of Chinese restaurants offering Cantonese, dumplings and hand-stretched noodles; a mock-Italian piazza; and a busy railway station with fancy carriage dining and main concourse bistro eats. Under a gleaming silver dome you'll see a glowing white sign for the Basement Brewhouse held up on three steampunk-style copper pipes. Descending the stairs will see you emerge in an attractive microbrewery, with dancing flames in a two-sided fireplace likely the first thing that catches your eye. Behind the bar you’ll find shiny fermenters and a row of...

Great range of beers on tap some of which are brewed in house. The burgers are huge like too big to place in ones mouth big. Onion rings are amazing! I had a Rueben which was quite nice but still took half home. Not my favourite burger spot but would definitely come back and love to try all their beers!

Pretty good burgers, sides and Pints... service is pretty decent for a club operated joint with good seating options and entertainment. The pricing is reasonable for the location

Basement brewhouse located in Bankstown Sports Club is probably one of my new favourite spots for a catch up with friends with epic boards and drinks to share, it’s the perfect spot to hang! Pictured here is the:<br/>🍖Brewhouse Sharing Board with a premium selection of salumi, including San Daniele Prosciutto, Salami Norcia, Cacciatorini, Capocollo and Pancetta.<br/>🧀’Brewhouse Cheese Board’ serves 3-4 adults, with a variety of gourmet cheeses served with guava paste, dried organic muscatels, Nigella Barossa Bark and gluten free Larder and Co. sea salt wafers.<br/>🍦Boozy Shake - Hokey Pokey Baileys Shake.

There’s several sections to the club with close to a dozen eateries and each with their own design theme, staff and menu. Our first stop was downstairs at the Basement Brewhouse. As soon as we stepped off the stairs, I knew I was going to like this place. A long window ran along one wall of the space, showing off their on-site brewery!

A hidden gem, hope in the dark, a burger light at the end of the tunnel. I tried the mighty brew beast and it delivered beautifully. Rich, tasty, filling, generous, juicy, can't complain! I totally loved the venue, plenty of settings and space. The beer selection is epic and I enjoyed the local beers very much. The coffee flavoured beer is delicious (doesn't really have coffee). I walked away a happy customer and would encourage anyone with beer or burger cravings to visit this place. Oh! I almost forgot to say, sweet potato chips were on point too.

We haven't been impressed with this level of service for a while. The team of people here are accommodating and open minded. They obviously enjoy their work and the vibe is infectious. Sydney, this is what service is. To top it all, the food is top notch. Will be back many times if we can.

Great place for burgers. They were very quick to bring our food once we placed our order. The “spicy” chips were not spicy at all but were still nice. The sliders were a good way to taste the different options available. The pickle that comes with all the burgers was a bit of overkill.

I absolutely love the look and feel of Basement Brewhouse down in Bankstown Sporties. Spacious, trendy and minimalist. The menu features a range of burgers and craft beers which make it an awesome place to hang out. However what we ordered wasn't that great. I had the Reuben sandwich and it was packed full of juicy and tender corned beef! Pretty good except for the fact my bread was on the burnt side and the mustard was too abundant and overpowering. Friend ordered the Chicky babe burger and said it was really ordinary, nothing special. Our chips were tasty but not as described on the menu and very expensive

Travel out to Bankstown and you'll find the mini-vegas-esque joint that is the Bankstown Sports club. A hotel, pokies and an amazing array bars and restaurants, you don't need to leave, especially when it's open 24 hours. On this occasion we went downstairs to the Basement brewery. It is a bar or microbrewery with over 30 beers on tap. From American Pale ales to pilsners or ciders, there's something for every beer lover! You can also see the brew house in action through viewing glass. <br/>We got some beer paddles (basement brewhouse pilsner, basement brewhouse pale ale and american pale ale as well as the basement brewhouse sparking ale.) to sample the different beers and I got a cider which was nice and sweet and I highly recommend it.<br/>Our group began with share plates of prosciutto, salami, cacciatorini, capocollo and pancetta (a cold meats board) and also a cheese board which included guava paste, wafers and gluten free crackers. These were great to have whist sampling the beers. <br/>They brought out some mixed fries (potato and sweet potato and beer battered) with honey jalapeño mayonnaise, truffle aioli and peri peri mayo which was good to sample different chips with different sauces. We also got the incredibly good 'garbage fries' which were fries drenched in pulled pork, corn, shallots, crispy bacon and american cheese, mouthwatering and drool worthy! <br/>When you think this sounds like a lot l, we also got a burger or hot dog each. Some of the group went for<br/>hot dogs, but we got the hot bird burger - grilled chicken, jalepeno, roasted peppers, spanish onions, slaw, butter lettuce and peri peri sauce as well as the mighty brewhouse; beef, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, bacon, onion, free range egg and cheddar. One of the great things is that you can choose your type of bread - milk bun, brioche or potato. The milk bun we chose was excellent! Absolutely loved this place! Wow, this place is amazing. A cavernous restaurant/bar, within the underbelly of the small metropolis that is Bankstown Sports Club, Basement Brewhouse is bound to become a favourite watering hole among locals with its microbrewery serving up craft beers and ciders. <br/><br/>There's plenty to keep the hungry hordes happy too. Juicy burgers, garbage fries and dawgs make up the menu, with sophisticated share platters including a cheese board and cold meats, perfect for grazing and substantial enough to be enjoyed among four adults.<br/><br/>The Flamin' Scotch and The Mighty Brewhouse are burgers worthy of the biggest appetite and together with fries and a craft beer, go down a treat. Definitely worth checking out.

We were invited to a night of feasting at the recently opened Basement Brewhouse, as part of Bankstown Sports. This place was fascinating in its space and options for patrons. The area itself is divided into traditional table areas with plenty of room and function areas overlooking the glass walled keg rooms which supply beer to the 24 different beer taps. The standout of the area though are the private booths - called barrels to stick with the theme - that sit about 8 people and each have their own programmable TV to watch sports. Once you have grabbed a section make sure you partake in their excellent meat and cheese boards that work as a beautiful starter for the feast ahead. <br/><br/>The bar here hosts a great range of beers, from the 4 which are brewed by the Brewhouse to the 20 others that come from craft beer houses and breweries from around Australia. I absolutely loved the Belgian and German beer styles that they had on tap - others in our group loved the American style Pale Ale’s - there definitely is something for everyone. <br/><br/>The menu here is very much bar house style with plenty of different burger and hot dog options. We sampled The Brooklyn: this burger was really well made. I love any burger with a bacon and fries on it and the flavours worked really well especially with the mustard and ketchup sauce. Get it with the Milk Bun which was fluffy and held the burger together well throughout the eating process. <br/>We also had the Chick Next Door: the chicken schnitzel was a nice combo with the roasted capsicum and smashed avo. Milk bun worked excellently with this burger as well. You could also choose between a brioche or potato bun for added variety. The trio of chips are good, however, our suggestion is to grab the ‘garbage fries’ to share. The chips were crisp and covered in pulled pork, crispy bacon and fresh shallots and slathered in American cheese and sweet corn - deliciously decadent and a perfect match for the burgers and brews. <br/><br/>The staff here are extremely knowledgeable about the establishment, the Brewhouse process and more than keen to discuss the finer points of the menu and beer taps. This place is a hit and has something for everyone. Get in and give it a go.

Was invited to a zomato event with fellow elite reviewers to try out the refurbished (Nov 16) Brewhouse at the sports club. Very cool Interior - 25 craft beers on tap, glass viewing area of the keg room, open kitchen, foosball, Jenga, and BURGERS! They're a little salady for my liking and you can't take off, only add on, but it was a solid dinner. The garbage fries were phenomenal and the Brooklyn burger with shoestring fries in it was also very good. Could use a little more sauce for my liking. Would return! I had the  Brooklyn burger on Wednesday the 21st and I chose to have it on a Brioche bun and I actually really liked it, but having mustard on a burger I really found it a strange combination but thats just my thoughts on it.

First time visiting this place in the Bankstown Sports club. It has a trendy basement location with nice decor and comfortable atmosphere. Great variety of burgers on the menu. We ordered the Sunset burger and the Brooklyn burger. They were well ensembled burgers with a nice brioche bun (you can select what bun you want), cheese is melted over the meat while cooking the burger, fresh ingredients and tasty Brooklyn pickle on the side. The only minor negative is you can't make any changes to their burgers on the menu.

ZOMG FINALLY!!!! legit craft beer with great selection of burgers, hot dawgs, charcuterie and HELLOOOO legit craft beer (FYI: Matilda Bay or James Squire IS NOT legit craft beer IMO). Love the renovation of what used to be a shitty sports bar that I refused to go in. Now it is a great space with variety of seating (lounges, bar tables, traditional tables and the booths which can be booked for groups of 6 or more and come with your own personal flat screen tv). They have four taps and tanks which brew their own craft beer plus another 16 or so with regular rotations of craft beer from Australian brewers. The burgers are generous and delicious and come made on either a milk bun, brioche or potato bun.
