Fun restaurant where you can sit ‘inside a train’. I ordered the beef burger and my partner got the chicken schnitzel. Standard prices and portions are a big, the schnitzel my partner got was massive. I enjoyed my burger with egg and bacon on it. The chips were nice as well.

I love their roasts and I love their buffet breakfasts in the mornings.... I like going when it's not so busy. Great value and lovely decor... you feel like you're in a old train lol

On first impressions I was not overly keen , a Saturday night and no place to eat before 5.30 , you could sit at a table but u had to leave the restaurant and go elsewhere for drinks , even after ordering our meals typical club style the queues were long , I ordered the arancini balls and a garlic cheese pizza which were pretty good, i had ordered the Texan burger which was meant to be a beef brisket burger but upon tasting it tasted of bacon and had the texture of gammon, I am not a bacon fan nor a gammon fan and took it straight back, the reason of my high scoring review is how my complaint was dealt with , both the girl at the till and chef at the pass were pleasant to deal with and changed my meal promptly, I come from hospitality background and this is how things should be done , well done oh and my main was swapped for the sausages and mash which were yum

A lovely setting for an afternoon out. We had booked for around 10 people for a birthday on this occasion.

We were quickly seated and ordering food in a matter of minutes. The Greenfield Station Bistro has a wide variety of dishes on offer. We settled on the Chicken Wings, Cheesy Pizza, Thai Green Curry, Scotch Fillet and Salt and Pepper Squid. The entrees were out quite quickly. As soon as we took them back to our table the buzzer was going off again for our mains.

The main sizes we thought were quite small. The Scotch Fillet was as big as your palm and the Thai Green Curry was majority prawns and rice. The Salt and Pepper Squid though was a decent serving. It came with a dozen pieces of Squid which covered a large bowl of chips.

Overall we had a good time. I would definitely recommend experiencing the themes of the restaurants on offer at Bankstown Sports Club at least once. We may visit again but not for a while.

Came here one morning for the buffet breakfast. Had most of what u expected. For $24, you get what you pay for. Far from gourmet dining experience but all in all good if you feel like stuffing yourself in the morning.

One of the cool restaurants inside the well regarded Bankstown sports! Ambience of an train station surely gave this bistro an exciting experience. We had the roast of the day, the station burger and a tuscany bruschetta and it was a lovely meal. I'd love to try their fine dining rooms soon!

We stayed overnight at the Travelodge Bankstown and included in the room rate was buffet breakfast at Greenfield Station Bistro. It is conveniently located near the lift which takes you up to the hotel.

The atmosphere of the bistro is of being in at a train station (thus the name of the restaurant). The buffet breakfast offers made to order eggs (poached or fried) as well as the usual hot breakfast items like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, hash browns, mushrooms as well as cold items like fruit, pastries, and cereals. You can also make your own toast and have coffee from the coffee machine. There were also apple and orange juices on offer too.

It was extensive enough to keep you happy without being over the top.

There's a certain grandeur to the usual hotel breakfast buffet this place offers. The high ceilings and archways that greet you into the railway themed open plan areas of Platform One Fine Dining and Greenfield Bistro are a sight. From the Departure boards, clocks and train carriages that act as private dining rooms, it's like stepping into a movie set. As for breakfasts for guests from the upstairs Travelodge suites, there are hot and cold options. It was impossible not to try everything - from the fluffy pancakes and james, to the freshly cut fruit and yoghurt to the usual hot breakfast with mushrooms and grilled tomato, fresh toast - so much to play with. They are also fresh baked pastries and lamingtons with a extra generous jam centre. One of the more memorable hotel breakfasts I've had in a long time that's for sure.

We stayed overnight at the Travelodge and were lucky enough to get tickets for the buffet breakfast at the Greenfield station bistro of the Bankstown sports club. It's a huge bistro, with relatively old decor but lots of tables. We've did notice the menu for dinner was extremely extensive. The buffet had a few different stations; one for fruit and yoghurt tubs, bread, cereals, pancake making and also hot food. The hot food included mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns, sausages and scrambled eggs. There were also newspapers there to read. All you really need for your breakfast. No fuss, serve yourself, easy buffet breakfast.

Nice dinner before catching up with friends in the bar. I ordered the eye filler which was 200g and got double veggies on side. My friend got the hoikken noodles and loved her dish. All usual suspects are here so if your in mood for a nice club meal look no further..

I've had the Pad Thai here once before which was fantastic portion-wise but instantly a lack of flavour must be announced even after sending it back twice to add additional sauce. The Tasmanian Salmon fillet unfortunately reduced in size greatly and rose in prices but I just say it was always beautifully cooked with light seasoning and thoroughly cooked through. The vegetables were pleasant to eat as they were steamed with the perfect balance of being cooked and yet still fresh.
The salad was not the forte of this dish, it did not compliment the other two components as the lettuce was usually soggy with dressing by the time my fork reached it.
Despite this, their Thai Beef Salad is a winner for me at the moment. Throughout a few months, I've had this dish maybe 4-5 times. I haven't had it anywhere else but I'm definitely willing to try it as tonight was the only night Greenfield disappointed me a little as the beef was much too tough, cooked at well-done. It usually is cooked at medium-rare, how meat should be enjoyed. This could be due to the busy evening but still not worth $18 if you've had a better version of the same dish in the past, at the same eatery.
The vegetables as part of the salad are not your usual garden salad choices but a Thai freshness to it with coriander, chilli and that amazing dressing, I can't quite figure out what it's made of but it has a nice, light spring of tanginess in flavour.

Always a pleasure to go to greenfield on my parents birthdays as they are members... and members get 30 bucks (more or less) on their birthdays to spend. We always order their lamb cutlet with mushroom sauce, its one of the best cutlets ive had. Most meats come with chips or potatoes and salad or steamed vege. Not too big on their steaks, its a hit and miss - most of the time the meat is tough and chewy even if you ask for medium rare. Pizza is meh- may as well head over to la piazza for pizza. Id also recommend their hearty roast dishes. With the bday points we can usually feed the whole family for 5 bucks outta pocket. Its great pub food in a train/station like enviornment. We go back every year.

This place surprised me. Extemely large portions of delicious food at moderate prices. There are about 200 items on the menu and with more than 300 people to serve, I expected the meals to be rushed - I was wrong. My ribs and steak were cooked to perfection. No one in my dining party had any complaints about their meal. Will definitely be back.

I do like a good steak and I like it to be cooked rear to medium rear, and so that's why I ordered the 300 gr. Grain Fed Rump Steak for dinner on Friday 7th August and I had it with potato, vegetables and Diane sauce, it was just yum

Nothing special.. We were taken here by our friends who are members and have eaten here several times. Beautifully decorated bistro, resembling an old train station. Memorabilia on the walls with all relating to rail travel.
I had salt and pepper squid, which was a tasty dish, however more like heavily crumbed rather than a seasoned dusting of flour. Lots of chips and a small bowl of soggy Caesar salad completed my serving. My husband had the 1kg of mussels in sauce, which was quite good, bathed in a great, spicy sauce. Our friend had a surf and turf, which was quite filling, with a nice selection of chicken, beef, squid, prawns.
The servings are VERY generous, so don't be fooled into ordering too many extras!

The food is decent, nothing special but slightly above average. The restaurant is also self service and requires you to pay first and then collect food. The environment however is very nice with a train replica and high roof. Very nice place for a normal meal. Food portions are quite generous and definitely worth the money

On the plus the place is nicely decorated & the staff. It's always busy. There's also a large selection of food available. The downside is the food. I've tried a lot and most are average. We tried the pasta, Schnitzel & fisherman's platter. The pasta is lacking in salt, the Schnitzel waa quite good but the gravy is blah, the seafood is also average.
