Review Summerland Restaurant - Bankstown

I did a photoshoot here and I must say that the food presented beautifully! The venue was clean and tidy and set-up ready for another event. I’m positive when the space is filled with people and live music it would have a great vibe/ambience! At the end I was given the opportunity to try the food and everything was delicious. The quail with lemon and garlic was amazing, cooked to perfection - outstanding!

Generous food (almost all you can eat), Delicious, fresh. Own baked bread. Swift service. Belly dancer (Saturday's). Singers and a dance floor.

Loved the food and service of the staff. However rating it down due to the toilets. For a place which sits about 100 people, the men's toilets is insufficient. Note: not commenting on ladies toilets. Other reviews have also noted the issues with the toilets. And I saw it first hand.

As always the service and the quality of the food is amazing. This must be the best restaurant in Australia. A range of award winner meals at a affordable price for everyone. Management take NO short cuts, they provide the best of the best of everything just to make sure you leave 110% satisfied.

Very nice place to enjoy oriental foods and Lebanese mazzas and dance with live music . It is a place for a family to celebrate events.

Worst food ever, fried kebbe still frozen on the inside, the baba ghanouj is canned. The kafta skewers cold on the inside. The rocket salad leaves are off going straight to the bin. The grilled tomato's and onion on the BBQ platter are cold out of the fridge looks grilled but was cold. Never again, very overpriced, definitely not worth $60 per head

My girlfriends and I had dinner here last Sat night and the food was amazing and delicious, the staff extremely attentive and very friendly. The entertainment was excellent and the crowd just loved the array of music. Overall it was a great experience and we loved every moment of it. I have been to many middle Eastern restaurants in Sydney and my recent visit to Summerland restaurant was a fantastic experience! I went not knowing what to expect, we had the most enjoyable Lebanese food (spot on), the waiting staff were always accomodating to our needs and constantly re-filling food for us, and the entertainment (live band) was wonderful - everyone up dancing. I will definitely go again and take friends to entertain and show them good Lebanese food. Great experience!

I don't think I've ever eaten so much food in one day! After enjoying a huge Christmas in July lunch in Rose Bay it was off to a birthday dinner in Bankstown for a $30 per person banquet of freshly cooked lebanese bread served with plenty of delicious dis

Top restaurant!!. I'm of lebanese background and food there tastes authentic, the mezza is generous and tasty and always tastes fresh. The falafel and kibbeh balls are a killer, just yumm!! fatoush and tabouleh always taste great at summerland and the good thing about their mezza is that you can order all you want, once you finish a plate you can order another one for FREE!!
i usually go there with 4-5 other people and we all order the meat banquette and none of us could move at the end of the meal lol we eat soo much and they food never seem to finish, the BBQ is awesome there, the meat is tender and juicy, had some bad experience at other leb restaurants where the meat was over cooked and too dry :S i absolutely recommend it especially for families :)

Amazing food! I especially love the hot, fresh bread served straight from the oven. You also get entertainment too, which is a bonus.

Give it a miss!!!!. I love leb food, have tried it in Sydney and whole lot cities in Europe/Middle east. I had been to Summerland twice before once for lunch and as a couple friend wanted to go for Leb food we chose Summerland cause you can have alcohol unlike places like Al Aseel and plus they have Belly dancers. Initial disappointment they don’t do Al carte for Saturday Dinner so we had to have the Banquet Menu. The dumb waitress said you should enquire if we do Al carte when booking, No sweetheart if a restaurant is Banquet only for a particular day it’s the duty of the person taking the booking to inform the customer. The salads were ok but meats were terrible, the kibbeh doesn’t even have enough meat and is more burghul. The meat platter is terrible with no Lebanese flavours; Kaftas had been reheated in microwave. The chicken also has no flavour and one of the pieces hadn’t been even cleaned well.
The wine list is terrible and you’re better off bringing your own wine and glasses unless you don’t mind drinking wine out of $1 IKEA or dollar shop glasses!
The belly dancer was ok but the music by the old dude is terrible! One of the tables who was having a party kept asking to increase volume (surely they were either deaf or had cotton buds stuck) as you could see every other table struggling to have a conversation of any description, even the waiters were shouting at each other due to the volume of the music.

Fun atmosphere, average food. The $35 banquet promised a lot but didn't quite deliver. Most of the dishes were mixed cold entrees like 3 types of salads, pickles, 3 dips, soggy dolmades, oily baby mushrooms and olives. The pitta bread was served warm, puffed and was incredible though! The mixed hot entree plate of lady's fingers filled with minced lamb was served with sweet chilli sauce (!?), falafel and kibbeh, all of which lacked strong flavours. The tahini sauce was the highlight! The mixed grilled meats had juicy and smoky chicken fillets and tasty lamb shish but the lamb cubes were overdone and chewy. Finally the dessert of type of cake was left uneaten after a few tried it with unflattering reports. There is a fun atmosphere with a live keyboard player and singer who was rather too loud. The belly dancer was pretty extraordinary though. A good night out for a group overall.
