Review Sweet City Cafe - Bankstown

Had the pistachio and walnut aish el saraya. Packed with nuts and great ratio to meringue. Service was very friendly. The aish el saraya was a tad sweet though. The walnut was great, however IMO the pistachio was absolutely delicious (minus the sweetness).

I have given a few reviews, but never have I felt that I needed to give the lowest rating to a local business than I do now while writing this review. Please read on as you would want to take your business somewhere else rather than support this business. I honestly feel like giving zero rating to Sweet City Cafe in Bankstown but the lowest is 1 star for a horrible experience. There is no other better description to describe this business and the owners than a bunch of lying crooks. My wife placed an order for our child's birthday cake and told my wife at the time of order that they charge more than other cake shops because they make everything fresh on the day. Long story short, my wife called Sweet City cafe in Bankstown the day before the scheduled pick-up to reschedule it for the following week since our child fell sick. Their response was they've already made the cake, so we either lose our deposit or buy the cake - according to them, it doesn't matter if they've made it early and hanged the phone up on me a few times. So rude!!! Their so-called selling point that "They charge more because they make the cake fresh on the day" is just plain misleading and dishonest! Life is tough for everyone lately, but I don't know how these people sleep at night?!? It's a good thing my wife only paid a deposit and didn't pay the full amount at the time she placed her order. There are other cake shops and better local businesses to support. I would never ever recommend this local business or visit this place again. Keep my deposit and I write this review. I only support good businesses and mostly what everyone needs right now are good people. End review.

Between a group of friends, we had coffee, tea, banana boat (banana split), watermelon juice and a bowl of chips. The entire order was fresh and delicious, and the customer service was fantastic, with friendly waiters and waitresses who were present the entire time we were there should we need anything. Every item was reasonably priced, the ambience was casual and inviting and Sweet City closes quite late, which meant were could go there for a late night Saturday catch up! Additional display items looked fresh too, tempting not to try one of everything.

I bought 1/2 kilo(500gm) of Baklava from this outlet. But utterly disappointed to noticed that the amount is half of the amount(pic attached). Highly disappointed and will not be buying again from them.

Sweet city is a Lebanese / Greek restaurant serving their traditional food and sweets in the heart of Bankstown a bit pricy but is place to drop by with the family and friends .

I like this place, i did enjoy the hazelnut frappe but the white forest cake tasted a bit weird and i think i got sick off a cake to be honest but it could have been something else i ate earlier that day. I do like the staff, very friendly but the lady taking my table's order kept asking us to repeat everything. The atmosphere is nice if you're into vape & hookah. Otherwise not somewhere i'd visit on a regular basis to just chill out.
