Review Jasmin 1 - Bankstown

Excellent place for Arabic food. The taste is good and the price is reasonable. They have parking facility. The staff is very friendly.

Delicious food, what we ordered was probably too much for two people! I will definitely go back with a group of friends to try their different dishes. Great customer service and everything we ordered was superbly delicious.

They have the best mix plate with generous serving of meat, dips and nan bread! Can never go wrong with Jasmin1

Best authentic Lebanese food. Dishes are always fresh and delicious. Very affordable and great range on menu. Been dining here for years, never been disappointed with food, both lunch and dinner. Very basic decor, which doesn't bother me, it's about the food. 👍👍👍👍👍👍🍽

Food is great. Very authentic, amazing taste and very high quality. Extremely affordable. We ordered a mixed plate, and got complementary pita bread. Overall we only spent 20 bucks for the 2 of us and were very full. The condiments ( garlic sauce, chilli sauce, tahini and hummus) are insanely good. Service can be improved. Food was brought out rather quickly but overall, they need more people there. Restaurant ambiance needs improvement as well. If the owner invests a little bit, the place will look stunning.

Great variety of Lebanese foods and came out quick. Friendly service.

Good food but not so good hygiene. No hand towel in the washroom, no soap. Dirty and messy. The food was authentic enough and fresh. Reasonable price and fast service time. Generous proportions and plenty of traditional extras. Overall, not too bad. Just don't go into their bathrooms.

Have been a patron of Jasmin1 so decided to try the Bankstown outlet this time. There was only 1 person attending the whole restaurant. The food arrived quickly after ordering but it was too oily. Also the chicken skewers were very dry and burnt.

Came here for Ramadan after Al Aseel was fully booked, and I totally regret it.
Even though I had booked a table, I arrived and was not seated. I approached the owner on 3 different occasions and he kept ignoring me. We ended up finding an empty seat outside and asked different waiters to bring food. There were also a large queues of people waiting outside, clearly the place has been overbooked!

The banquet started with a main plate with no cutlery or plates, followed by partial entrees and a large soup bowl at the end with no plates or spoons.

It is probably the worst customer service I have received in my entire life. The owner definitely was overwhelmed as the place was busy, but clearly he does now know how to run a restaurant.

The food was okay, but also less than I expected.

I guess you get what you pay for!

Yes/no? YESSSSS!!!

If I could give this restaurant more than 5, I’d give it a 10. This is the best restaurant I’ve been to, if only we had one in Melbourne.
I couldn’t believe how amazing the food was.

I browsed through the menu and the prices were ridiculously cheap!!! You could get a whole banquet of food for the same price as a smashed avo plate at a cafe.
I got this popular Lebanese breakfast dish called fatteh, it was cooked to perfection. So creamy and melted in my mouth which so much flavour.

All the components of the banquet to the meat, dips, salad had sooo much flavour and was so tender! I couldn’t fault a single thing.
The best thing was the complementary cinnamon tea. It was absolutely beautiful next to the food.

Honestly I’d go back to Sydney to eat from here again... AMAZING

Excellent little place with great food! We went here recently for dinner and the food did not disappoint. We ordered fatoosh, a mixed grill platter and a chicken shawarma. The quantity was decent and the food tasted delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the place has a bustling vibe.

Very delicious Lebanese food and great value. The Mixed plate is huge and comes with Falafel and Kibbe on top of the usual mixed plate fare. The falafel is freshly fried, and delicious.

Be sure to grab the (free) cinnamon tea as part of the meal.

It’s time to embrace your inner fatteh. Never heard of it? This nourishing breakfast dish is a staple in homes across Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan and Iraq. If you love chickpeas, you’ll adore this dish. If you hate chickpeas, you’ll probably still love it. Picture this: creamy yoghurt thickened with sesame seed paste and dotted with soft, but not soggy, chickpeas. Garlic, cumin, lemon juice and a good glug of olive oil amp up the flavour stakes. How do you eat it? Follow the lead of locals and scoop up generous mouthfuls using soft and fluffy rounds of Lebanese bread. Savour the silky yoghurt, the crunch of toasted pine nuts and those gently yielding chickpeas.

Went here for lunch. It would have to be the best tasting leb food that I've had! My first taste of Fatteh and OMG to die for! Had a mixed platter and the meat was tender and tasty and only cost $18! Two of us ended up taking our leftovers because it was too good to throw out. Will definitely go back but maybe for dinner so we can really sit and enjoy.
The service too was spot on! Awesome all round 👍🏽😃

Cheapest mixed grill platter you will ever find.
I don't get why the current ratings are so low - the skewers are moist and tender, and you are getting so much meat at such a cheap price. A mixed platter here is 18 dollars - fills up two people easy! That's 9 bucks a head for dinner!

Felafels are so crispy here too. And I love the generous serving of bread, pickles, and of course their beautiful garlic sauce

Service is very chill - sometimes a bit too chill, I must admit. But the food is quality and so cheap. Great value!!

More authentic and tastier Lebanese food you will struggle to find! Plus it's cheap to feed even the largest of harems. Highly recommend the fattoush and fried eggplant, and of course you can't go past the tasting plate. Some draw backs; 80s style interior which is not much to look at and a good amount of rubbish seems to always be strewn out the front.

Place was huge n spacious but food was very average ..... Meat was not cooked well ..... Fatoush had loads of vinegar or lemon juice poured on it

I've had their mixed vegetarian plate and for $18 it was considerably expensive. I found the deep fried veggies to be way too oily; I could only manage a few bites. Next time I'll just order falafels and hummus. Their staff are friendly though.

Cheap and delicious Lebanese food! We were looking for a place to eat fairly late on a weekday and stumbled across Jasmin 1. Menu consisted of a lot of meat dishes at decent prices.
Staff were very helpful there and they also offer free coffee.

I have eaten here so many times. It's tasty and cheap. It's not a fancy place at all. They recently renovated but still below average in appearance. But honestly if you want a decent feed at a good price and you enjoy Leb food then this is the place !

Service is terrible so be patient but the food is just as good as the other branches but unfortunately, not as generous with its portions either. I wont go back here again.

Severely disappointed with this experience. Arrived at the restaurant to find it very quiet. Was not greeted so simply sat at a table. Took 15 minutes for someone to come and take our order. Took another 30 minutes to receive our order, in which I counted another 6 groups walk in, sit down, be served and receive their food. When we did receive it, it was wrong and we did not receive one of the dishes we asked for as it was 'unavailable'. We were required to get our own drinks and it took forever to request more garlic dip (that was supposed to come with the dishes). When it came to paying, we were charged for the wrong sized salad, and for the dish that was 'unavailable' that we did not receive. The only saving grace this experience has was that the good was very nicely cooked. The service was horrible, and I definitely will not be recommending this place to anyone. A shame when I was so looking forward to it.

Definitely the better Jasmin1 out of all the other Jasmins out there. The food here is better prepared. We had a mixed plate and found the meats to be moist and tender. We usually go to Punchbowl where the meats were always tough and overdone. There is complimentary mint tea at the Bankstown one too. This is the place to go for a simple casual meal to satisfy any Lebanese food cravings.

Really good portions amounts. Good dips, meat cooked good. 3 people sharing 2 banquets more then enough. FAST service, got food in less then 5 minutes. Friendly service
