Review Dogwood, Bx - Bathurst

Visiting from out of town & booked dinner here to celebrate my husbands 40th. Evan made our whole experience here amazing. From the initial friendly arrival where he wished my husband a Happy Birthday, to making sure our kids tastes would be catered for and their food was brought out first - everything he did was with incredible service and friendliness. We could tell he was run off his feet with Covid cutting his staff that night, but that didn't stop him giving everyone the same wonderful service that we had. Food = delicious! I had the half rack of ribs which were the biggest I'd ever eaten. My hubby had the Betty White burger which he enjoyed and mentioned it wasn't a greasy burger like you get at alot of burger places. My son absolutely loved his buttermilk chicken tenders and my picky daughter ate more of her food then usual. My hubby loved the Stout and I enjoyed the Lynchburg Lemonade. Thanks very much Evan, we had a wonderful visit to Dogwood because of you!!

Amazing brisket, texas toast and shredded pork. The best I ever had, worth 3hrs drive from Canberra. Red slaw is great as well as the beer

If you want good food, an out standing atmosphere and the friendliest staff you’ll ever meet this is as good as it gets, proper good food with real flavour not cheap meat and some generic rub. You can tell this good is made with passion! The ribs are 11/10 the closest thing I’ve tasted to Texas ribs since I’ve been there! Do not hesitate to spend a night and gorge on the best food you’ll eat in your life! Real food, real flavour, real atmosphere! Hurry up and go there!!!!!!!!

We had an outstanding experience here at Dogwood. Not only do they boast one of the best prime ribs I’ve had (either here in Australia or North America!) their desserts were well worth the removal of a belt. If that wasn’t enough we were absolutely blown away by Evan’s hospitality. Not only was he charming and attentive throughout the meal, he exhibited extraordinary diligence with my son’s (many) allergies. I can’t recommend this place enough, as I watched him and his team work the dining room I can really see they pride themselves on customer service and enjoyment.

Absolutely awesome spot in Bathurst for a great meal. Evan and the team are so friendly and have great passion for their work. The Mac Daddy side dish is what dreams are made of! Great cocktails also. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back.

American restaurant with excellent service. The manager was very enthusiastic and accommodating. I enjoyed my fried chicken dinner !

Outstanding, Excellent, Just Perfect. Truly, I can not remember when I've eaten a better steak anywhere. The staff (both the owner and the waitress) were pleasant, and took the time guide us through the menu choices, and we were not disappointed by their recommendations. Everyone agreed that we need to add the Dogwood BX to our "must visit again" list. Do yourself a favor and visit the Dogwood BX. On a scale on 1 to 10, it's a 12 !

Ok, so no takeaway on Sunday, BUT.............definitely worth the walk in the middle of winter............,,, food, music, hospitality, and atmosphere, .........apart from constantly having to restrain my young boy from breaking into a jazz funk dance mid meal, had a fantastic meal, and great time, thank you�������

My husband and I went to dinner at Dogwood with our friends to try the 1.2kg cowboy steaks. It was a great night, the staff were wonderful and when my husband polished off the steak in under 10 minutes, got himself a "well done" from the staff and a free drink to wash it down. It's our 3rd time there and it's always a great atmosphere, and it won't be our last. Highly recommend Dogwood.

The tomahawk is the best steak i have ever eaten, hands down. And the rest of the menu is just as good �

Reservations seem to be a must for dinner but no drama catering for my dairy free, gluten free toddler and most of the menu is gluten free which is amazing! First time I've been able to have onion rings in years! �

Popped in after work today for a drink. What a surprise! Great selection to choose from, my kinda music and friendly staff. Will definately become a regular at this place!

Well family members travelled all the way from Sandiego to Bathurst to reunite at Dogwoods. A lovely meal, great customer service from staff that were content to explain everything. Highly recommend the experience.

Cannot fault this place! The food is amazing, the service is excellent, the drinks OMG!!! It was like having dinner at a friend’s place; drinks and food kept coming until we couldn’t take it anymore. Definitely will visit again soon.

Myself and my wife celebrated our anniversary at Dogwood tonight- the BEST steak I have eaten in Bathurst without doubt & the wine list is second to none in town. Will be recommending Dogwood to everyone.

Went there for the first time on Sunday night and have to say I love what they have done with the place - I felt like I was at an American Dine and Bar like you see in Supernatural TV Series. Lovely staff!! My partner and I had a crappy day.... when we left Dogwood, we left feeling happy due to the customer service. Great staff, great food and great atmosphere! Highly recommend the full stack of BBQ Ribs - went home that night and was craving some more!!! Will definitely be recommending to my family and friends! #MoodChanger

Finally got to try out the legendary Dogwood just before Christmas. We were looked after superbly by Evan, Leigh, Shaunna, Ryan and the amazing kitchen crew. Top notch food and Evan matched me with my new all time favourite cocktail, a Bobby Burns, would highly recommend! Thanks guys next time we're in NSW we'll be back!!
