Review The Hub - Bathurst

I've been here many times in the past decade and this cafe is consistently top notch. I love the outdoor area and always try to sit outside. Their signature coffee (double ristretto with 3/4 milk latte) is smooth and definately the best drink. Breakfast burrito: 5 stars, very filling but quite spicy. Tastes very wholesome Avocado, Feta and Pesto: 5 stars, a zesty and tasty meal, the Rye bread is a little on the firm side but everything else works Coconut crusted brioche french toast: 5 stars, amazing, it looks so pretty and everything works quite well. There are sour elements with the caramelized pineapple, then there is sweetness with the ice cream and syrup. The brittle was good but it was a little too sweet for the dish (maybe put less sugar in the peanut brittle).

So nice place! Beautiful and tasty! Friendly service, good menu, comfortable atmosphere. And great coffee!! Easy to make reservations online via website.

Warm cosy vibes in a Bathurst cafe. Try the sweet potato Rosti / any dish starring their poached eggs. Coffee wise - The hub signature DR34 double ristretto latte hits the spot. The cake of the week was a coconut and mango semifreddo with raspberry lime coulis, which had interesting flavours but is on the sweeter end. Friendly service is always a plus :)

Great spot! Excellent vibe & really friendly staff. We had breakfast. Kids menu items are surprisingly large (just be aware if your kiddos are quite small - my 10-year-old was VERY pleased!) Has one vegan option for breakfast which was EXCELLENT (Indian inspired spicy veggie wrap), but the staff said that they're also happy to put together a vegan set of sides with the smashed avo for a vegan brekky (it's not on the menu as such though). My kids were all very impressed with their omni brekky options (kids french toast, adult french toast, & eggs bene). Also has 2 vegan options for lunch, though I haven't tried them.

We visited here with a booking of five for breakfast. The service was great with friendly, attentive staff. They took our drink orders straight up which is great not to have to wait for hot drinks. We received our orders very quickly and it was all cooked brilliantly. Their was a great menu selection and well priced. The coffee was really good as well. We would definitely come back next visit.

A lovely spot for breakfast. Can see why it's popular. We arrived before 830am and were promptly served by a team of friendly staff. We had the eggs Benedict and breakky roll, they're both great. The flat white was good. The cafe has a nice outdoor area as it was 5 degrees we didn't brave ourselves to try that. Overall a positive experience.

The place is a must for brekkie on the weekend. Great food and quick service with a variety of seating locations in a unique style courtyard.

Rolled in for lunch, and would definitely visit Bathurst just to eat here again. Loved the ambience, and had the best coffee in a long time. Fresh roasted, the coffee was aromatic and naturally sweet - the sign of a well-extracted cup. Kudos to the barista. My lamb burger was incredibly fresh, the meat delectably seasoned and buns could be eaten on their own. The Korean fried chicken burger was even better with its own specially made (rye? pumpernickel?) buns. My little one finished most of his schnitzel, and after trying a little I could see why, the layer of batter was so thin, crisp and light while the chicken was juicy and tender. Highly recommended and has certainly raised the bar for 5-star ratings.

Hands down one of the best cafe’s I’ve eaten at. Friendly attentive staff, great atmosphere and even better food. I couldn’t fault anything. Thanks John & Nancy, amazing 😊

First time at The Hub and what great atmosphere. A cold Bathurst Day and a nice cosy place to eat. The food was well presented, fresh and very filling. The staff were extremely friendly and menu offered a reasonable choice of dishes. Highly recommend this neat little gem.

Great service here. We had lunch and breakfast. Lunch was amazing! Spot on and delicious! Kumera and Chicken salad was the envy of all at the table. Breaky was a little underwhelming comparatively, but still good. At all times the coffee was great! This place is a rare find in country towns. Über cool to hang out here. They play great music and you feel you have entered an oasis as soon as you step inside. I highly recommend it!

I recently spent 5 nights in Bathurst with a tour group. Breakfast was booked for 5 mornings at The Hub - we could not have been happier with the Tour's choice. A menu was printed for us which is one of the best breakfast menus I have seen anywhere. The staff were totally organised. within a minute of us arriving each morning someone would take orders for drinks - juice or whatever, then another staffer would take our orders. I think there was only one morning when the food took a tad longer than 10 minutes to be on our tables. Amazing. And it was GOOD ! Staff were friendly and very efficient. The owner is very welcoming. 15 out of 10 from me.

I’ve eaten at a lot of cafes for breakfast and this was by far the best I’ve ever had. My fiancé and I loved it. Congrats to John and Nancy! Done well and I’ll be back again soon!

Best breakfast ever!! We live in orange but come to Bathurst for breakfast on occasion. The service is always quick and friendly, the food is to die for and the portion size is also very generous if I could give more than 5 stars I would. love this place!

Lovely place with very friendly stuff and beautiful cointry food. Coffee lovers must try their Dr 34, strong and full of flavor; my wife had soya flat white which is also great. For sweet teeth the chocolate with strawberry milk would be exceeding your expectations.

Amazing atmosphere, and interesting menu, in the most positive way! The almond milk/tumeric latte is awesome, and the meals are massive & fresh. Ross is amazing. He catered to our every need, with his hospitality genious, flair and drive, as well as his well-oiled crew. The frantic breakfast service on a soggy Saturday morning didn't stop the FOH staff from smiling, and ensuring that we had a 5***** experience. Congrats Rosco, Sue & Lindsey on such a successful business! I will definitely return on my next visit to Bathurst! CHEERS, Mon and Team BigTurn.

Visiting from Sydney for the weekend. Dropped in for breakfast, OMG the choices were amazing, the serving sizes were not overly large and the taste was sensational. The Hub has a great warm atmosphere, and the staff very attentive to the customers, serve was quick. We will definitely be back when we're in town.
