Review Sweet Caramel - Bathurst

This is one of Bathurst most popular cafes / restaurants. It’s highly regarded by locals. We’ve eaten breakfast here several times. The food has always tasted great and the staff have always been very friendly. I ate the scrambled eggs - and it’s was great. The atmosphere here is excellent. Quite spacious. The facility is always clean. There’s plenty of parking located out the front.

After being on the road for a week the coffee here is next level. Service with a smile. Great setting with plenty of room. You must stop here!

Fab coffee, good food, friendly staff - what more could you want? Oh yes homemade iced tea that comes in many flavours, mine was lychee and lovely.

Disappointed/unfortunately it doesn't meet the hype. The cake, coffee and tart was very standard for any cafe. Service was abrupt (both when calling to make a booking and on the day). Pastry of the tart does not taste fresh and the cake was overly sweet without much flavour at all. I'd go elsewhere.

The best chorizo pasta I have ever tried.. it was so delicious. So saucy and pasta cooked to perfection. Had a big bite with the sun-dried tomato and chorizo and pasta fully dipped in sauce and it was heaven in my mouth. I think I could've finished two plates. Garlic bread was small though but the pasta was so great that I didn't care. Must try must try must try! Oh and green curry was okay too xD

Good coffee and cakes. Was a quick stop for us as we were right on closing time (4pm). Was happy with the service and food.

Great coffee shop with lots of character and great food. It's surprisingly large inside with lots of space to spread out. A group of 8 of us had lunch and the food was tasty and well presented. Excellent selection of food sure to please. Deserts taste and look great.

Great place for a sweet treat or breakfast. We were a few minutes late for their 11am breakfast cut off but the waitress was nice enough to squeeze our orders in. The space inside is massive and quite quirky in design and layout. If you're looking for a meal or something sweet on the Bathurst high street this is a great place to try

Sweet Caramel is a wonderful and welcoming treat in Bathurst. As a visitor to the town I would highly recommend a trip to the cafe and suggest indulging in the layered vanilla cake or the house made gelato. The staff there are friendly and the service is great.

Atrocious culinary experience! Ordered the "special" seafood pasta which was abysmal. The cheap pasta was undercooked, the frozen calamari was overcooked and the dish was drowning in a pool of nasty tomato paste. I had 2 mouthfuls and couldn't continue. After politely explaining to the waitstaff how terrible the meal was, they proceeded to make me pay full price - $22 at that! Their justification was "the food wasn't off, so you still have to pay". Couldn't give this place a worse review if I tried. Bottom of the list for me.

We adore Sweet Caramel. Everything is delicious! If you don't try their gelato or desserts you are missing out on something very special! Great ambience and decor, lovely friendly staff, and wonderful service. Can't recommend highly enough.

Lovely breakfast, great spot, thoroughly enjoyed it. Would go back if we were in the area again. My son even had a second breakfast he enjoyed it so much! Loved the decor too.

Huge range of the yummiest cakes, great coffee, and fresh flavoursome lunches! Always greeted with a smile and the service is exceptional! My 'go to' place in Bathurst since I was told about it!

Service was slow, food was ordinary, slow cooked Ragyu beef only had 4 pieces of meat and the greens were 5 beans, potions size was very very small compared to price paid My plate was taken away before I was finished My tea was cold when it came to the table Will not return or recommend Not impressed

Beautiful. The décor is devine! After a lot of friends said Sweet Caramel was amazing I had to go in and have a look for myself. The takeaway coffee was a beautiful flavour and hot (which is uncommon these days) and the lady let me try the sorbet flavours. Pineapple is beautiful.

We have coffee here every weekend. The service is always friendly and the coffee is great. They have a nice selection of fresh cakes, slices and snacks, and their gelato is amazing. Definitely worth a visit.

Another great visit today for lunch with out of town friends, they love it !! my Italian friend and her partner said 'best cabonara ever' and that's saying something, they are a super picky couple, their 2nd visit. Consistently fantastic food, service and staff, a great place to go, anytime day or night.

Ordered 2 hot chocolates a plate of chips and 4 mini spring rolls, our 2 hot chocolates were undrinkable they were about 85 degrees when we got them and my wifes had a layer of skin on it, milk was obviously made way too hot or reheated. It was so bad that i had to refuse to pay and the food still cost $17 the staff were way too rude, interrupting us while we ordered and when i brought up the issue with the hot chocolate i was told it was foam! Not going back!

I have been to sweet caramel a few times now and every time I go to sweet caramel it gets better and better. Great food and beverages, and extremely friendly staff. A very elegant place to go. This is definitely recommended for everyone. You will definitely enjoy yourselves.
