Review Chicane Bar & Grill - Bathurst

Very helpful staff and social distancing appears to be well observed. Food was decent, but on the pricey side. Service speed was good. Limited cocktail options. Facilities in general were clean, and the atmosphere was good. There is a ground-level view of the racetrack (not much to see) with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Awesome and convenient. Good/big portions and reasonable price. Staff were really good and attentive. After taking the order it took less than 5 minutes to get Cheesy Garlic Bread, which was the best! Then 20 minutes for mains, it was quite busy. Monday night with probably 30 guests. Would 100% recommend to a friend.

Steak was terrible (tough) and over priced. Requested medium came out after waiting 50 minutes rare. Staff were not interested. Restaurant air conditioning was cold. All 4 of us did not enjoy our meals. Never going back.

Only 4 main meals to choose from. Waited 40 minutes for a lukewarm steak that came with 5 cherry tomatoes and 5 wedge size fries that weren't fried more steamed. All this for $48! Air conditioning was way too cold. We won't be going back. Very disappointing since the last time we went there.

The food was below standard and the cocktail was so badly prepared. The restaurant is far below the standard of even regular eating places in Bathurst . The highlight was the fantastic service by Josh Borland . Would not recommend going there.

Good food and great service. The menu has a good variety to choose from and the prices are moderate. The menu deals for two or three courses is well worthwhile considering. I gad the scallops and the Angus rump which was delicious, tender and cooked to perfection. The down side is that with a room full of people it is very noisy. Some investment in noise deadening surfaces would help.

This cost $48, never again.

Good food, friendly service. Nice ambience and a pleasant outdoor area. Happy hour 4-6 every day, drinks aren't too expensive. Great coffee. Meals are on the pricey side.

Thought we'd try something special for our 22nd wedding anniversary. So disappointed. Scallop entree was 3 x 10 cent piece sized scallops with more sauce decorating the plate than food. Mains were good sizes but my slow cooked beef was a huge lump of gristle! Husband's steak was as ordered though. But I basically ate mashed potato, chips and peas! Dessert was small again - 3 x chunks of banana with toffee and triangles of ice cream.. but at room temperature so I was confused about what I ordered. Again more sauce than food. We ordered two bourbons with dry and they brought only one bourbon on the rocks! And we were never asked if we wanted another drink! We complained about the lump of gristle but this was a $140 meal for two!! We were given a 20℅ discount, but will never go back and as a local feel embarrassed that visitors could think that is the standard. Oh, but the Korean (I think .. sorry) waitress was lovely but she wasn't looking after our table - we didn't see our waitress after our order until she brought out our dessert! The 2nd star is for the lovely waitress who dealt with our complaint!

Have heard mixed reports about this place and the majority were correct... It really isn't worth going out of your way to get there... Had a look at the menu before reserving seats and it definitely covered most bases...until you get there. On line they offer a classic menu and the "top end, flashy" menu but fail to tell you that if you reserve a table in the quieter restaurant away from the kids and noise you can't have anything that's on the classic menu... So if you like a fish dinner be prepared to have some kind of weird salmon dish... If you'd like a simple piece of beer battered fish or something less weird then you get told you have to leave the main restaurant and sit with the kids. $200+ for four people. Do yourself a favour and pick a pub to eat at; you'll save at least $100 and your steak won't be chewing it's cud while you're trying to chew on your steak. Won't be back.

Doesn't quite hit the mark. Ordered the seafood platter and there was no lemon wedge in sight. Prices are on the high side but the food does not quite match the $$

Alli provided exceptional service, very friendly & excellent with our food choices & consideration of food allergies. Our steaks by far the best we have ever eaten ANYWHERE.

Food was amazing as always. My wife and I go here every year for our anniversary. Food is always on point and the desserts are just to die for.

Food was not great quality at all considering what we paid. Bourbon glass had a crack from top to bottom. Not sure what I was expecting, however definitely didn't live up to a name as well known as Rydges. Not sure if I'll be back.

Great food and wait staff. Bar service is very slow.
